Right below flagstaff

Great spots in between flagstaff and Sedona. Literally 10 minutes from flagstaff. Campfire pits. If you’re coming from flagstaff, there’s a left turn lane to take you into the area

Perfect spot

Loved this spot! Tons of room for all kinds of rigs. And the further you go down the roads, the more secluded the spots get. I was dumb at set up at one of the first spots I saw. Then while walking the dogs I found about 15 more that were more removed from the road and a few even had shade trees.…

Good last minute camping

After deciding to tent camp last minute, this was the only place we could find. It was the first cooler weekend of the season & was a Saturday night. It was pretty packed, but we managed to find a spot further back past the first cluster of sites. The road is pretty bumpy but it was nice &…

Beautiful Dispersed Camping

Take FR 237 off of hwy 88A south of Flagstaff. Many relatively level spots. The access road is quite rough but fairly short. I found a beautiful spot in the 400 loop for my 38' class A. Unfortunately I saw one spot that was totally trashed with piles of garbage and a few spots that had been…

Fantastic location

Solo camping during the week proved to be very peaceful at this site... wanting to escape the Phoenix heat for a few days, I enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, and wildlife viewing! My only complaint was that I chose a site (81) that offered zero shade! I now know better for next visit

Dispersed and barren

First and foremost keep your eyes on temperature and property in this area and make sure you’re setting up in used areas and not just driving all over the landscape

I camped here in June and thankfully I was prepared because it was a cooker and there isn’t a lot of shade or cover so you need to…

Eh, there are better

About the same as camping on the west side of the hwy. There’s a ton of traffic, no respect from other campers who blast music, trash the forest, fire off guns at all hours, and overall not a great vibe.

Camped here over 2 days and the land, trees and forest are beautiful all around so IF you can…

No Privacy. Creepers.

The best spots were hidden. I found this to be a strange spot as a woman. Very little prvacy. Several men walked by our site staring at our rig acting strange. When we pulled in we saw three men just sitting at their site staring at women. The road in was too bumpy with many rocks. Some of…

Great area if you don't mind a little noise

Turning onto FS-222 is probably the worst part of the road that we experienced. Decent gravel with some slight washboard. There are practically infinite camping spots out here, big rigs included.

We had checked out two other sites in the Flagstaff area before landing here. We liked the selection…

super awesome

spaced out, definitely seems to fill up towards the end of the night. easy access, dirt roads, super forestry so it’s shady in the morning and evening. definitely will come back.

Space was wide open

Wasn’t my favorite place. There wasn’t a lot of trees to separate camping spots. But it was still good. Quiet and beautiful. Just watch out for the cows that are open range and graze near the tents!

Dispersed Camping Near Flagstaff

This was dispersed primitive camping off 89A. Right in between oak creek canyon and Flagstaff. All the spots were designated which was nice. Plenty of trees if you wanted to set up a hammock. I saw others mention trash but I didn’t really see much. Some here and there. There’s no bathrooms or…
