1. Destin Beach RV Resort

Destin Beach RV Resort is a private RV park within walking distance of Miramar Beach and is one of the most lavish Destin Florida RV Parks. The resort offers over 50 back-in and pull-in sites with all the amenities including full hook-ups, a patio, picnic table, and lush landscaped buffers between sites. The resort puts on a community bonfire event every Tuesday and Thursday evening and guests may also use the amenities at the adjacent Gulf front resort including a waterfall pool, hot tub, and indoor and outside eateries. Discounted weekly and monthly rates are available.
2. Grayton Beach State Park
Located halfway between Destin and Panama City Beach, Grayton Beach State Park Campground has 59 campsites for RVs up to 40 feet in length and tents. Each site has their own electricity and water, and some sites have sewer hook-ups. Most sites are back-in, but a few pull-through sites are available. The campground is open year-round and reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance.
Park highlights include a one-mile nature trail through the beach dunes and coastal marshes, a paved 4.5-mile hiking/biking trail, and several coastal dune lakes to explore by canoe or kayak. Grayton Beach State Park also offers 30 two-bedroom, one-bath cabin rentals, each with a gas fireplace, kitchen equipped with basic cooking supplies, and its own screened in porch.
3. St. Andrews State Park

St. Andrews State Park is located just outside Panama City Beach, an hour down the coast from Destin. Bordered by both the Gulf of Mexico and the Grand Lagoon, the park is almost completely surrounded by water making it one of the best Destin Florida RV Parks for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and fishing. The St. Andrews State Park Campground features 176 campsites, a few which are tent only, but the rest accommodate RVs up to 45 feet in length with water and electric hook-ups available. Most sites are back-in only, but a handful are pull-thru and also wheelchair accessible.
With easy access to over a mile and a half of glittering white sandy beaches, St. Andrews State Park is one of the most popular Destin Florida RV Parks and reservations are strongly recommended and can be made up to 11 months in advance. Pets on leash are allowed at the campground, picnic areas, and hiking trails, but are not allowed at the beach or in the wetlands. Three camp stores offer snacks, souvenirs, and basic groceries as well as beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear, and kayak rentals.
4. Fort Pickens Campground
Fort Pickens Campground is one of two campgrounds in the Gulf Islands National Seashore, a protected coastal area of barrier islands, fertile marshes, and sparkling white sandy beaches stretching from Fort Walton Beach, Florida to Cat Island, Mississippi. Fort Pickens Campground is located on Santa Rosa Island, an hour west of Destin, and has over 100 RV sites with electric and water hook-ups.
The campground is open year-round and amenities include hot showers, laundry facilities, and a dump station. A handful of tent only sites are available and some are equipped with electricity. Popular activities in the Fort Pickens include swimming, snorkeling, fishing, hiking through the sand dunes, and touring historic Fort Pickens, a military fort built in 1834 to protect Pensacola Bay.
5. Henderson Beach State Park

Henderson Beach State Park is the closest state park to the city of Destin and has 60 campsites for both tents and RVs up to 60 feet in length. Both back-in and pull-thru sites are available and all but two sites have water and electric hook-ups. Campground amenities include hot showers, laundry facilities, and vending machines.
The beach at Henderson Beach State Park is definitely the highlight. Dolphins are often seen swimming off shore, and this pristine stretch of sugary white sand is perfect for swimming. Just make sure to check the beach’s colored flags to make sure it is safe to go in the water. A short pet-friendly nature trail leads hikers to a scenic viewpoint of the park atop a high dune.
6. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park
Named for the tall sand dunes that rise right out of the waters of the gulf and look just like a ship’s sail, Topsail Hill Preserve is a state park 14 miles east of Destin. The park is home to the Gregory E. Moore RV Resort, which has 156 RV sites each with water, electric, cable, and sewer hook-ups. The park also has 22 tents sites with elevated tent pads and water and electricity as well as 32 bungalow rentals that sleep four to six people. Other campground amenities include a swimming pool, laundry facilities, showers, and shuffleboard courts.
Camping is available year-round and reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance. Campers can walk or bike to the beach and Wi-Fi is available outside the park store. The park also features over 15 miles of hiking trails and excellent bird watching opportunities. Bike, kayak, and stand up paddle board rentals are available in the park.
