Spread across 1,000 acres of Wyoming rangeland, Logan Ranch Campground gives campers room to spread out and genuine separation from neighboring sites. The property sits near places to camp around Buford, and its scale means crowds are rarely an issue. Wildlife sightings, particularly elk, come up repeatedly in visitor accounts. Cell service is available on-site, which is worth noting given how remote the surroundings feel.
Amenities include toilets, picnic tables, firewood for purchase, and a camp store. Campfires are permitted, and pets are welcome. The night skies draw consistent praise from repeat visitors, who also mention the friendliness of the hosts. Campers seeking alternatives in the region can look at options like Vedauwoo to the north, which operates under National Forest management and has a different character entirely.
Reservations are available and worth making in advance. One negative review flagged an experience where no staff were present on arrival and the phone went unanswered, so confirming your booking directly before a long drive is a practical precaution. The no-cancellation policy noted in that review is also worth reading carefully before committing. "Super secluded," notes Ashley F., describing the property's overall feel. At $50 per night, Logan Ranch makes the most sense for campers who want a large, low-density property with wildlife exposure and don't mind the added step of verifying their reservation ahead of time.
