    Mill Bluff State Park Campground

    Secluded, but noisy.

We were at site #9, great spot for tent. There were only trees behind us and our neighbors were far enough way we had privacy. There was no electricity, but we charged our phones and my son’s iPad at the ranger station. There was no running water so bring sanitizer. The swimming pond was great and not rocky. The hikes were good but lots of mosquitoes which made it hard to enjoy. Wish there was more to do in the area. No showers and no electricity in the bathroom near our site.

If you want to bring a boat you can there is a landing in the park. Lots of places to park is your want wooded of water there here. Only downfall is there is no sewer hook ups.

    Holiday Shores Campground

    Wonderful experience

Best base camp for any trip to the Dells.

On-site laundry, pools, golf carts, boats, and that floating obstacle course... There are so many more ameneties available that we didn't have time to experience them all. All our needs were met, and our stay was plesant. The staff here was just so so very kind and accomodating... We definitely plan a return to Holiday Shores.

Roche A Cri State Park Campground

    Deserted and Historical

An excellent place for hiking and camping. We didn’t camp but spent the day hiking, identifying mushrooms and prairie native plants and had a picnic. There is a tall tower to climb to a splendid overview of Friendship-Adams, many playgrounds, a paved path, hiking trails through the woods, streams, and fascinating hieroglyphs which put Roch-a-Cri in Wisconsins Region of Historical places. Very cool! Great place for families, couples and singles adventuring alike.

This place is great for fall colors!

We stayed here for 1 week and enjoyed the fall colors. The showers were clean and nice. Laundry was less expensive than most laundromats we’ve used this year. Everything worked great. We also enjoyed the trails around, but had to pick a ton of ticks off our dogs! ** Edit after leaving: make sure to use a water filter outside your camper. The water left an orange residue in our dog bowls, sinks and pipes.

    Russell Memorial Park

    Beautiful lake/creek front

The camp has a lot of long term sites on the waterfront so getting on one usually gets you into spring and camping. The waterfront has mostly electric only sites and run very close to size. We have a 28 5th wheel and we're snug. Site said 25 ft but the picture had a 5'er on it so we booked it. The back sites are ATV/UTV site. They have good access to the trails. They seem a bit bigger. I've seen a few toy haulers back there. There are a few full hookup in the center of the campground but not many. The shower and restrooms were clean. There are larger sites just not all waterfront. We like to travel too much to have a permanent site yet, so we try to come spring and fall here

    Wilderness Park (Juneau County)

    Great County campground

We stayed in sight number nine which is right on Lake. Good fishing in lake for walleye. Campground is clean and has showers. Although I will say it was very crowded with some noisy campers. Some obvious drinking activity going on. Overall I would return and hope to next year.

    Nice, seems recently well updated

Not our typical type of campground but absolutely no complaints. Very friendly atmosphere and more comfortable sized sites than we expected considering what we typically look for. All amenities are very nice.

    Good place. Bring extension cord.

Friendly and helpful front desk. Pool is very nice. Perfect water temperature in June. Clean facilities. Camping spots are a little rough terrain, but TT is level without levelers, but bring them just in case. Make sure you bring 50 ft of electrical cord and water hose. They do offer to barrow their extension cords.

Roche A Cri State Park Campground

    Lesser-known Gem

Whenever I mentioned to people I was camping at Roche-a-Cri State Park, I'd get, "Huh, never heard of it" as a response.  Most of the campsites were filled, but it still felt like finding a hidden gem.

    Pros:

    - Most of the sites were relatively large.  We had 3 tents and 2 cars on our site and it wasn't a problem.

    - The rock formations and carvings alone are well worth the trip!  Super interesting.

    - The pit toilets were clean and well maintained.

    - Could hear some highway noise, but not terrible.

All in all, we really enjoyed the campground.  Nothing too fancy, but it is worth the trip!  Happy camping!

    Petenwell Park

    Beautiful

Note: I have not camped here yet, but I will be in the summer at the tent sites.

I have been going to this campground for years, walking around, going to the beaches, launching the family pontoon and fishing in Lake Petenwell. Everyone is always so friendly upon arrival. All of the tent sites are right on the edge, it is the best view of the lake. Other RV spots are partially shaded or full sun depending on the location.

I have US Cellular, it does work excellent in the area, but is very spotty lakeside. I am not sure what other providers are like.

There are two other camping areas that also are apart of this park. The second one is down the road a little and is west to the main grounds. It has been there for a while and is a spectacular place for sunsets! The park also just added a third campground right across the street as another option for additional camping. This one is atv/utv friendly where if you are on the trails you can drive right in that area. One thing to note is that they are not allowed in the main campground. There is a small atv entrance about 200ft passed the car entrance where you will need to check in.

There is a pretty nice beach to relax on, the lake is a little green and mucky sometimes- but hey its a lake! There are playgrounds for the kids to let the energy out and plenty of activities to do in the area.

Overall, I would highly recommend this campground!

    Mill Bluff State Park Campground

    Beautiful view at the top

This state park is highlighted by a truck up the side of a bluff with a beautiful panoramic view of the area. Aside from that, pretty sparse accommodations and the campsites are pretty tight as well.

    Cool hikes and breathtaking views.

Continuing to do my state park visits. Notice that the trails were really nice and the view at the top of the tower was spectacular. The camping was probably not the best in the world but all in all a nice place.

    Casino Park

The park was clean but the showers were a mess during my 1 week stay. The casino had no restaurants open just a snack bar with over priced and over done food. I was working in area so it was convenient and cheaper then the other parks in area.
