GuideThis site was right next to Fort Walla Walla, with a park and dog park. Not much else here but weird animal statues and long-term RVers. Lots of hookups for RV and trailers. No tent or car camping. The bathrooms were still closed June 2021, need to use your own hookups.
ScoutWe were passing through and Horn Rapids was perfect for our use. It has a nice little mini mart, drive through spots, full hookups, playground for the kids, clean bathrooms/showers, and allows pets. It is also close to Safeway and right outside the gate is a camper trailer friendly gas station with diesel.
We will definitely be adding this spot to our route again when we pass through.
ScoutFirst of all, the staff is very nice and respectful. The campground is very clean. The bathrooms have showers and are well kept. They provide wifi, water, sewer and power at the sites. It's a bit pricey for being as basic as it is but when you look around at other campgrounds in the area and nationally the price is right in line. Next to Umatilla park so that's a bonus. Marina is just down the hill. Pet friendly. I would stay again.
TravelerSpent a fun weekend here. Site was easy to back into. Clean and level. Lots of shade and grass. Allows pets (on leash) fun little park for the kids and nice little beach for swimming.
LegendOur GPS took us right to the campground (CG) plus there was plenty of Blue Valley RV Park signage to guide the way into a small industrial area and the adjacent golf course. Check-in was quick and we proceeded to back-in site 8 with FHUs. The utilities are towards the back of the pad, so I had to use two sewer hoses to get from the main black tank on our Brinklely G model. The sites on this side of the CG are nicely landscaped with a decent amount of room. After reviewing all the rules on line, we were a little concerned but the management was not overbearing and there are four main rules as displayed when you check in 1) 5 mph speed limit, 2) don’t park in the road) 3) pick up after your pet, and 4) pets on a leash. Water pressure was good at about 50 psi. We got 4 bars on Verizon. There were no mature trees in our area, so we did not have a problem getting a clear shot north for our Starlink. We logged into the Wifi and it was above average, but the CG was not full. The CG is near a small but nice industrial area near the police station and humane society. Go to Walla Walla’s main street area where there are far more wine tasting rooms than you can do in a day. Grab pizza from the Sweet Basil Pizzeria. This CG was a good choice to visit the area.
ScoutWe have been here for month and honestly that 29 days to long. This place is okay for one night but if you want piece and quiet, this place is not it. The spots are so close together that you can hear others conversations. Every other day we were woke up from the park staff talking beside my RV running sprinklers, doing lawn care, or something. Don't leave anything on their picnic table or they will knock on your door at 9:30 am and they will keep knocking til you answer. Sure there's wifi but good luck using it. Pet park really stinks. Yes dogs use it but they don't treat it so on a sunny day it's strong stinch of piss. Almost Unbearable. Staff in the office are sweet but maintenance guy is an asshole. But the veins are beautiful.
RangerWe stayed here in the off season, it’s first come first served parking, which ended up being really great for us. We got to park with a view of the river and away from other RVs. The spaces are large, there is a bathroom and showers on site. There is a nice walking path, and loads of grass and beach and places to walk your dog. We all had a very nice overnight experience.

Electric, but no water. Was told to fill up jugs at the faucets scattered around the park. The water was disgusting! I filled one jug and it came out a light brown color. The park host saw the expression on my face and came over to tell me the water is tested every day and is safe to drink. Safe or not, I was not about the drink that.
There's a nice walk around a pond in the back of the campground. Overall, a decent place to stay if you're in the area, but not my favorite.
GuideWe tried to find a campground nearby because it was getting late and somehow this site never popped up on this app for me -but, we ended up seeing a sign for it and turned in and were pleasantly surprised. Water fountains, sinks, flush toilets, fire pits and all of that. There are (harmless) spiders all over the trees and bushes (but I've read that about almost all of the surrounding campgrounds). Not sure whether they enforce payments or not, but the sign said it was $15 per site with $5 for an additional car. This was a nice place to stop in the middle of nowhere. Also, most of the campsites were empty so we were able to have our pick from some great spots. Plus, we made friends with a very friendly cat who was staying there.
