Pendleton KOA sits on a bluff overlooking the Blue Mountains, operating year-round as a full-service RV park that doubles as temporary housing for some residents. The campground's elevated position provides views across the valley, though a chain-link fence runs along portions of the property. Sites feature grass areas with concrete pads, and all RV spots include 50-amp electrical service with water and sewer hookups.

The campground runs at high density, with sites positioned close enough that conversations carry between neighbors. Tara M. notes "the spots are so close together that you can hear others conversations," while maintenance activities and sprinkler systems can wake early sleepers. Several long-term residents occupy sites throughout the park, creating more of an RV park atmosphere than a traditional campground setting.

Standard KOA amenities include a camp store, flush toilets, individual shower rooms, laundry facilities, and a recreation room, though no pool operates on-site. The pet area receives regular use but requires frequent cleaning due to odor issues on warm days. WiFi coverage exists but performs inconsistently during peak usage periods. A playground provides space for children, and some premium sites include patios with grills and fire features.

The campground's location just blocks from restaurants and gas stations makes resupply convenient, while Jeffrey M. found the upgraded sites with "view, patio, grill and fireplace" worth the additional cost. Pendleton's famous Round-Up rodeo in mid-September fills all accommodations for miles around, requiring reservations a year in advance. For travelers exploring the region, places to camp around Pendleton become extremely limited during this annual event, making early booking essential for any September visit.

Guests commonly noted friendly staff and clean facilities with full hookups, though the campground functions more like an RV park. A significant number mentioned concerns about cramped spacing and noise levels from the crowded conditions.

If you have another option go there

We have been here for month and honestly that 29 days to long. This place is okay for one night but if you want piece and quiet, this place is not it. The spots are so close together that you can hear others conversations. Every other day we were woke up from the park staff talking beside my RV running sprinklers, doing lawn care, or something. Don't leave anything on their picnic table or they will knock on your door at 9:30 am and they will keep knocking til you answer. Sure there's wifi but good luck using it. Pet park really stinks. Yes dogs use it but they don't treat it so on a sunny day it's strong stinch of piss. Almost Unbearable. Staff in the office are sweet but maintenance guy is an asshole. But the veins are beautiful.

Great view, very clean!

A little more money for the view, patio, grill and fireplace, but well worth it! Not too hot even at 95! Cool nights and plenty of sky.

Clean and friendly

Andy at the front desk was very helpful checking me in. She and her associate assisted with me finding the best spot with some shade and facing the mountains. Yes, there are a lot of units here. And, it’s still a great spot for camping. They are all 50 amp and include a converter, if you don’t have 50amp. Leveled and spacious for vehicles.

Quiet get away

Pulled in and noticed the sites were smaller and there were a lot of full time people there, regardless of that everyone was nice, respectful and the facilities are kept very well. I was very impressed with the personal bathroom/shower rooms. It was just a little get away for us wanting to relax and explore the Pendleton area and this was a terrific place with the easy access from the freeway. Staff were fantastic.

Stayed for one night

Seems more like an rv park than a campground. Someone let there dog pee at our site as we were pulling up and it backs up to apartments. Never again.

Like Staying in a Parking Lot

The good: Friendly staff and decent playground. Laundry facilities and showers. The bad: Sites are super close together = no privacy. Chain-link fence obstructing view. No pool. Appears that there are many full timers as well. Would not stay here again due to very small spaces.

Great views of the Blue Mountains, for an in-town KOA.

This KOA has many of the amenities associated with KOA campgrounds, including a camp store, flush toilets, showers, and a "rec room." It does not have a pool. It does have full hook-ups and caters to RVs and campers. It sits at the edge of the cowboy culture town of Pendleton, famous for its enormous rodeo, the Round Up, which takes place the full second week of September annually. You will NOT find a campsite here - or lodging anywhere else in town- during Round Up, as approximately 10,000 visitors crowd the town and typically book a year or more in advance. Also, while this KOA is clean and pleasant, it is quite crowded and many of the RVs and campers parked here are home to local folks "living on the cheap." It can be noisy, and there is little green space to enjoy, but the campground is situated on a bluff with beautiful views of the nearby Blue Mountains. Restaurants and gas stations as well as a couple of hotels are within walking dustance, just a block or two away.
