Best Dog-Friendly Camping near Pullman, WA

This is an all paved rv campground on the Snake River and bordering Lewiston, ID. It has all the amenities of the Premier RV Resort affiliation. It has all the hook-ups and all sites are well manicured. A lot of the sites have longer term rv's from seasonal workers and such, it is not like a long term trailer park though. The management works to make sure your needs are taken care of. There is a paved walking trail alongside the park that follows the river with pet statiions located at intervals and is maitained by the municipality. There are Snake river boat tours nearby and plenty of shopping close and throughout the community. Fishing is a big activity on the rivers.

This is an all season RV Park. There’s a nice patch of grass in the center during warm months.

Sometimes we have a hard time finding all season parks.

They do allow pets! They have all the amenities you hope a RV Park has. We came up here to gem hunt. But I know other forms of hunting are also popular here 😉.

You also don’t loose the camping feels here. How? Fire rings.

Camping is just not the same without the ability to have a fire. Even when camping in an RV for local attractions over the “camping experience” it’s always a HUGE plus (to me anyways) to be able to watch flames for a few hours while having a few drinks.

Also visit the Pie Safe! You won’t regret it.

The actual location and grounds are amazing. Right on the Snake river. So much walking and fishing. And swimming. Kayaking. Even cat fishing. The tents sites are very crammed next to each other though. The cabins are cute and small. No bathrooms in them but there are Public bathrooms and showers. Very busy on major holidays in the summer.

We pulled our 40ft RV up here and had a great time! Not full hookups but lots of fishing we caught: blue gill, trout, bass, crappie, perch, cat fish and had a small Tiger Muskie on the line but lost it. We were there for two weeks and they did have electricity and water hookups just no dump so we showered and used the bathroom facilities which were very well kept! So we didn’t mind. There is a dump station just in town at the gas station there. Overall great experience and nice to be off the grid for a bit!

All paved parking spots and easy to access! Only downside is having to walk the dogs across the parking lot to go to the bathroom in the grass, but it’s nice to have the grass! Dog poo bags and trash cans available.

I loved this spot right on the edge overlooking the lake! There were lots of trees for hanging our hammock and our spot was large enough for our 2 tents and several dogs 🐕.

I came here to hang out during a logging sports event and I really enjoyed the doc area where I sat with my feet in the water. We did not swim (except my dog), but we enjoyed the landscape and the lush green grass they were growing.

I do want to camp in this park but we were camping at another location with the logger sports team.

We were able to get a campsite just a few days before our trip. That was great because this was a last minute plan. The campsites are very well maintained. Facilities and dump sites are super clean. The visitors center is close by.

Lots of dogs and kids. But it was surprisingly quiet at sundown. Just a bit of Highway noise.

This is the base for the Trail of the Coeur D’Alenes. 73 miles of paved bike trail. What more can you ask for.

The camp host is very nice. In the morning there is a beautiful fog that comes off the water. The sites have varying amount of privacy so you can find a spot that suits your preferences. There are fishing and small boat docks. I’ve been up here a lot! It’s my favorite close by paid camping ground.

There are some trails at the end of the campground that trail up and around and connect to trails that lead back to campground areas. Dogs are permitted!

If you get extra time, take a day lunch trip to The Pie Safe nearby. You won’t regret it!

We drove in from the Washington side on a narrow unimproved road but only met one vehicle. Our views were into undulating hills of the Palouse farming region of Washington. We camped at the first campground in this Idaho state park close to the Washington border called Iron Mountain. There were two sites with a vault toilet. We chose site number two but both were very spacious. The road was right by our site but only one vehicle drove by, a dirt bike. It was so quiet there. You could see into both the forested hills of Idaho and the Palouse of Washington.

Very friendly staff that keeps the facilities clean. Full hookups with lots of pull through spaces if needed. We fully utilized the bike path along the river each day for nice long rides into Idaho and back to Washington. Would stay again.

The campground itself is on BLM land and is primitive.  There is a pit toilet, picnic tables, fire rings, corrals and horse water.  The camping itself is on the primitive side, but the scenery it magnificent!  The last two miles driving in is a rough dirt road, and a vehicle with ground clearance is highly desirable. A three mile hike/horseback ride takes you through Washington's Channeled Scablands to Towell Falls through spectacular buttes and meadows along the creek.  The best time to visit is in the spring when the wildflowers are in bloom and before the RATTLESNAKES get populous.  The night skies are particularly dark because you're a long way from any civilization.  It's also interesting exploring the old ranch building that remain on the site. The area is popular with horsemen and trail groups up to a bit of "roughing it." It also can be a great day trip from the Spokane Washington area.

There is a pit toilet, and individual sites with a picnic table and fire pit, but nothing else. The sites are sort of close together, no division between them, and would be awkward if they were completely full. The campgrounds get progressively less crowded the further up the road you go, so by campground #8 it was completely empty where campgrounds 1 through 4 were pretty packed. 

Zero cell reception here in this entire area. This is a popular area for hunters, so during hunting season heads up for that.
