Horn Rapids RV Resort

Sitting along the Columbia River corridor outside Richland, Horn Rapids RV Resort draws a mix of overnighters and long-term residents to a well-maintained facility that leans closer to full-service RV park than traditional campground. Sites accommodate rigs up to 70 feet with full hookups including 50/30/20 amp electric, water, and sewer. The grounds are landscaped to a degree that multiple reviewers compare to a golf course, and the resort sits directly across from one, in fact.

Cleanliness is the detail campers mention most. Bathrooms are described as consistently spotless, and maintenance staff tend the grounds daily. The resort includes a pool, hot tub, laundry room, community lounge with kitchen and seating, a stocked mini mart with hot food, and a playground. Horse trails and a boat ramp give campers access to the surrounding area, and the river is roughly five to ten minutes away by car. One practical note: midday irrigation runs for about an hour and can interrupt outdoor activities at the sites.

A few things to plan around: the stay limit runs 14 days out of every 45, most sites are occupied by long-term residents, and a nearby gas station outside the gate accommodates larger rigs with diesel. As one reviewer put it, "the lots are not real big, but the landscaping is pristine." Pasco Tri-Cities KOA is another option in the region for those comparing stops. Horn Rapids works best for RV travelers who prioritize clean facilities and reliable hookups over a more remote setting.

High End RV Park

I chose Horn Rapids RV Park due to it being the closest landing spot for where I needed to be on a trip north and was not disappointed! Immaculately clean, well laid out sites with a decent amount of space, clean bathrooms (although not all of the stall doors closed). For a one night stay, it was a very good choice. Recommended.

Hidden Gem

Great spot, clean facilities, horse trails and boat ramp. I’ve stayed here many times and feel it’s under utilized.

Clean, accommodating and convenient

We had a family emergency and stayed at this RV resort for almost two months. Crista was very accommodating and helpful to find us a monthly spot. The bathrooms are spotless. There’s plenty of them too. The community lounge is big and clean with a kitchen and sofas, Tv, and tables. Each RV spot has a place to park a car. The grass green and it’s a quick five to ten minute drive to the river! Lots of great coffee places around.

Great spot

We were passing through and Horn Rapids was perfect for our use. It has a nice little mini mart, drive through spots, full hookups, playground for the kids, clean bathrooms/showers, and allows pets. It is also close to Safeway and right outside the gate is a camper trailer friendly gas station with diesel.

We will definitely be adding this spot to our route again when we pass through.

Great little gem backing to the Yakima river

I really liked this campground. I wish we could stay longer than 14 days out of 45, but that's the rules. There is no camp host but maintenance is there daily to tend to the grounds. It is a well kept place I can say that. The only complaint I have is that the sprinklers go on in the middle of the day. So if you are doing anything outside there is a good hour break to avoid the irrigation water. Other than that, hot water showers, toilets, water at your site and power for 50/30/20 amp cords. We will go back for sure.

Deluxe Park

OK, I need to be clear this is not really “camping” camping but more like glamping. This RV park is the best maintained park I have ever seen. The lots are not real big, but the landscaping is pristine ( think golf course) and overall the park is meticulously maintained. There is a really nice pool and hot tub, laundry room, showers, and a very nicely stocked store that includes hot food available. (Though we did not take advantage of that). Most of the sites here are taken up by permanent/long-term residents but there is no sense that they are junkie or like some parks like this end up looking, and there are plenty of short term/camper spots. We stayed here two nights visiting relatives who live here permanently.

Quiet and clean

Nice open area to play games. We played frisbee and enjoyed the area. The water is really close and the camp sites didn't seem to be too crowded but it was a slow time when we were there. There aren't a lot of camping options in that area so this had to do. Definitely prefer more remote locations.
