Good, but not perfect

We really loved the forest setting of this park. There are great hammock trees at nearly every site. Overall, it's beautiful.  The bathrooms were just ok.  There's only 1 shower per bathroom, and you have to pay to make it work. One night, the meter in the men's shower was broken, so I had to take…

A Gem of a State Park on Puget Sound

This was our first time at Penrose Point State Park. We are so fortunate to have so many State parks along the beaches of the Sound. Penrose Point is located across Carr Inlet from Gig Harbor and Fox Island. There are trails and beaches to explore. Lovely large campsites. No hookups available but…

Nice Location

A bit of a tight squeeze to drive the trailer but the location was nice. Our spot was very uneven but livable. Showers are 25¢ a minute so be prepared. 15 minute walk to a great view of Puget Sound. We would visit again.

Simple but easy

First come first serve camping. Super easy to find a spot and reserve the spot online after arrival. Bathrooms were clean and sites were clean. Campground is on the same road used to get to Hurricane Ridge. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice setting - few sewer sites

This is my first time using a thousand trails membership so I didn’t know what to expect. The overall campground is nice with almost all of the sites being surrounded by trees or a view of the bay. But I was disappointing to find that the few sites that have a sewer connection were all taken and no…

Fort Flagler WA

Great RV sites in the trees and out in the open. The sites in the trees on the lower loop have full hookups. The upper loop is smaller sites more for tents and small RV's. No power or sewer on the upper loop and the water spigots are shared between sites. The little burger shack is good but…

Cranberry Lake campground - Deception Pass, WA

Beautiful area with lots to do. Electric, water hookups with sewage dump on the way out. Campsites are not level and can be a tight fit between trees. Lots of different beach trails & bike paths. Whale watching excursions nearby. Cell service spotty.

Good view

It’s a nice little place, down on the hood canal, very cozy. We stayed down at a cabin and it was pretty empty, which was nice. The cabin was a bit older, but it has a charm to it, everyone had service there too. I’d recommend bringing a small boat out if you can, sunset on the hood canal was…

Good privacy, lots to see and do at Fort Ebey

I like Fort Ebey a lot. The campsites are generally large and well separated by foliage, even in winter.

There are great hiking and mountain biking trails through forest, ocean views and beach access, and it's also fun to explore the old WWII facilities. Bring flashlights.

We've camped…

Camped here for 3 nights - it's not a bad campground, but it's just average. Also kind of depends on who's camping around you.

There's a bunch of sites and they're decently spaced out. Privacy is alright, if you can tuck your tent back then you can probably stay out of sight of other…

Make sure if you see a spot you go to the front and out a card in it. Or it’s not yours.

Awesome camping by the sea

Absolutely beautiful sites both near and almost at the beach. Some say that the beachside sites can be windy. We had a beachside RV site without any issues. The tent sites are tucked into the woods.

Tall old growth forest. The camp spots are all over a hill and valley. Nice water spots and hiking.
