    Liberty Lake RV Campground

Looks like a parking lot with RVs

This is a newer RV park in Liberty Lake. They have only been open 2 years. Liberty Lake is between Spokane, WA and Coeur d’Alene ID. There are about 130 spaces or so, with concrete pads and paved streets. There is grass between sites, but they are much too close to be comfortable, and there is no shade! And, the rules!!! Lots more rules than most other camping areas.’ It also appears many of the residents are semi-permanent. They have free cable snd wifi, a dog park, playground, swimming pool, laundry, and dump station. The sites are 30/50 amp, most are pull through but the outer ring is back in. They also have propane. They are on the pricy side: an outside loop 50 ft. Site is $74/night. Good Sam gets you a 10% discount. It is easy access to I-90 both East and west.

    Kootenai County Fairgrounds RV Park

It's one of the nicest fairground rv parks.

It's one of the nicest fairground rv park I have been to. This place was very well kept and very friendly campground host. This place is big rig friendly. I stayed in a 45 class A motorhome with a tow vehicle. I had no problem with the access to the rv park. If you are coming off of interstate 90, don't use exit 13. The round about is way to small to handle big rig or any camper. The best route is exit 12 big rig friendly. The price is very reasonable for this area. No shade.

    Blackwell Island RV Park

    Waterfront RV campground

    9/14 to 9/17/19

    Blackwell Island RV Resort

    Coeur d'alene Idaho

Close to interstate, located next to Spokane River and lake. Boat and kayak rentals. Sites are gravel, level, both pull throughs and back ins available, FHU, no privacy between sites. Some nice water front sites. Chairs in place to enjoy the small beach. Nice volleyball and play area. Small BMX course was fun. Cute landscaping near water, small trees within the campground. Picnic tables, no wood fires allowed. No tents of any kind. Very limited store at the office. Town very close with stores and restaurants. Nice restaurant a short distance at the Marina called Cedars. Great private bathroom/with shower. Nice laundry facilities. Free cable and spotty wifi. Moose too!

    Liberty Lake Regional Park

    Quiet park close to Spokane

We spent 3 weeks at Liberty Lake Regional Park while visiting our son and grandkids in Spokane. The road in is a little narrow, but once in, it’s a great little campground. Most of the sites are fairly level. We stayed at 2 different sites over 3 weeks, and both were level. They are close together! They provide a fire pit if you want one. Picnic table, water and electric. The dump station is quite a drive, back out, up the hill. There is a clean shower/bathroom building and a beach within walking distance of the campground. While we were there the campground hosts did a fantastic job of keeping everything clean and tidy. Several hiking trails, including an equestrian trail, waterfall, fishing and lots of wildlife. There were deer in the campground every day, we saw moose, owls, pilated woodpecker, and hawks. We were there over July 4th weekend and they had a fireworks display on the beach.

    Thousand Trails Little Diamond

    Little Diamond Newport Washington

We spent a week here and loved it. It is so quiet and peaceful. The sites share electric and water, no sewer and are positioned oddly they are on the off side and in front by the road. Some 30and 50 amp just check the box. The sites are gravel, some what level and size/length varies, a few pull throughs, our 37ft 5ver had no problem. Bathroom showers are ok. Laundry is good. There is a small lake free fishing, didn’t fish. We stayed in the Thousand Trails side, it is a split park with KOA on the other side. Two dump stations, nice lodge/ spa and pool open. AT&T and Sprint were very good. At our site 144

    Albert's Landing

Clean, Friendly, Well Maintained RV Campground on the CDA River

Albert's Landing is a clean, well managed RV campground on the shores of the North Fork of the CDA River near Cataldo, Idaho.

The campground offers 60+ sites with water & 30\50 amp service, level gravel pads, picnic tables, and fire rings. There is nearly 1000' of river frontage, a camp store, and a river float shuttle. However, the campground does not currently have a septic dump, trash facilities, or showers, Those services will be available soon though.

The North Fork of the CDA River is a popular destination for river floating, fishing, and off road recreational activities.

Down the road from the campground is the historic Snake Pit restaurant. Highly recommend stopping in for their great food, atmosphere, and colorful history.

If you're planning to visit the North Fork of the CDA River, I highly recommend Albert's Landing.

    Spokane County Fairgrounds

    Enjoyable Stay

We followed the map from the post confirmation email we received from the Fairgrounds that included the gate code as well. We realized we hadn't recieved the email with the gate code, so about an hour out, we emailed to ask about the gate code. We got an immediate reply, which was nice. Once we got in the campground (CG) area, we had the choice of the closely spaced pull throughs A-1 through A-8 or the B back-in area that consists of 35 sites spread out over several rows. We decided on site B-29 with water and electric(50/30/20) that had one of the two nice-sized picnic tables in the CG plus two trees for some shade. Since the back-in sites are in a large grass/dirt field, you can pull around and make them pull throughs. You have to figure out how you are going to angle in the sites and hook up to the water and electric, as the utilties for each site aren't exactly intuitive. The power worked well and we got about 50 psi on the water. We got 4 bars on Verizon and since there are not a lot of trees, a clear shot for Starlink. This CG is bare bones, but we enjoyed that there were only about four campers while we were there on a Friday- Monday in July. There are plenty of little dumpsters and a dump station up near the north part/entrance. There’s a restroom building towards the CG entrance but it’s just a men’s and women’s two stall bathroom. There’s no shower facility in the CG. We enjoyed our three day stay.

Guide to Mica

Recreational vehicle camping options near Mica, Washington include several parks within short driving distances. The region sits in the Inland Northwest with elevations ranging from 2,000-2,500 feet and a semi-arid climate characterized by hot, dry summers and cold winters. Most rv campgrounds Mica Washington remain accessible year-round despite seasonal temperature variations, though winter travelers should anticipate snow conditions from November through March.

What to do

Hiking trails access: Liberty Lake RV Campground provides camping near natural areas with walking opportunities. "Hiking trail around marshy lake and lots of birds," notes Shawn A., making it suitable for nature enthusiasts wanting light exercise options.

Lakefront recreation: Blackwell Island RV Park in nearby Coeur d'Alene offers water-based activities. "Beautiful beach along the Spokane River with plenty of high quality beach chairs to relax in and watch the parade of boats coming from upriver," according to Love4travel T., who appreciates the waterfront setting.

Urban convenience: Northern Quest RV Resort provides easy access to entertainment options. "They have a free shuttle to the casino that runs until Midnight," mentions Chris D., which eliminates driving concerns for evening outings.

What campers like

Clean facilities: Kootenai County Fairgrounds RV Park maintains well-kept grounds. "Extremely clean, looks very new, and lots of space between sights," says Rob N., highlighting the spaciousness compared to many cramped RV parks.

Shaded sites: Tamarack RV Park offers relief from summer heat with established trees. "A really pretty setting, though the spaces feel a little narrow. I'd definitely come back," shares yolunde S., appreciating the natural canopy that helps moderate temperatures.

Level camping pads: Trailer Inns RV Park features practical site design for easier setup. "Pull through sites are long and can fit most RV's. Parking is available at each site at the front or the rear of each site," explains Nancy J., noting the flexibility for different vehicle configurations.

What you should know

Road noise considerations: Traffic sounds affect several parks in the area. At Liberty Lake RV Campground, "This park is right on the side of I-90, so road noise 24 hours a day along with the train and industrial buildings on each side. So if you're looking for peace and quiet, this isn't it," advises Brown Sign Junkies.

No-fire policies: Several parks prohibit campfires due to safety regulations. At Alderwood RV Park, open flames aren't allowed anywhere on the property, which affects traditional camping experiences but reduces wildfire risks in the dry climate.

Seasonal closures: Some facilities operate only part of the year. Blackwell Island RV Park runs from "Apr 1 - Oct 15," requiring off-season planning for alternate accommodations during winter months.

Tips for camping with families

Pool availability: Ponderosa Falls RV Resort offers recreational amenities beyond standard camping. "It's secure with a gate and even has a mini golf course inside," notes Rachel A., providing entertainment options for children.

Playground access: Liberty Lake RV Campground includes play structures for younger visitors. "Amenities include a playground, basketball court, dog park, clubhouse, pool and bathhouse. All are nice," mentions a reviewer, offering multiple activity options for different age groups.

Convenience store proximity: Northern Quest RV Resort provides easy access to supplies. "Easy access from main hwy, quick access to a gas station and Wal-Mart is super close," explains Wes W., reducing stress when essential items are forgotten or depleted.

Tips from RVers

Winter preparedness: Some parks charge deposits for utility protection in freezing weather. At Liberty Lake, there's "a $100 deposit on the heat tape during winter on the spigot. If you don't want to pay it then you have to call them to unlock the water to fill your tank."

Space considerations: Peaceful Pines RV Park offers varying site dimensions. "Sites are very close together with campers not much to see here and no privacy at all," cautions Chasen, highlighting the importance of checking site measurements before booking.

Internet reliability: Connectivity varies significantly between parks. At Kootenai County Fairgrounds RV Park, they've recently upgraded with "Free WiFi added in 2023," while other facilities may offer limited or spotty service, important for remote workers and those needing consistent connections.
