Best RV Parks & Resorts near St. John, WA

Several RV parks surround St. John, Washington, providing convenient bases for motorhome travelers exploring eastern Washington. Pullman RV Park, located about 20 miles southeast of St. John, offers water, electric, and sewer hookups with 30-amp service from April through November. For year-round options, Ponderosa Falls RV Resort in Cheney features 140 sites with full hookups including both 30 and 50-amp electrical service, accommodating larger rigs with pull-through sites. Liberty Lake RV Campground, situated between Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, provides concrete pads with full hookups and 50-amp service. "Sites are concrete pads with a picnic table also on concrete. While sites are close, they are spaced well enough that you don't have to worry with hitting your neighbor with your awning or having to play Tetris with your slides," noted one RV camper.

Seasonal considerations affect availability at many rv parks in the region. Northern Quest RV Resort and Airway X Motocross RV Park in Airway Heights both accommodate big rigs and offer 50-amp service, though availability can be limited during peak travel seasons. Most parks provide sanitary dump stations, with Liberty Lake Regional Park's dump station located "quite a drive, back out, up the hill" according to one reviewer. Cell service varies throughout the area, with strong coverage at Liberty Lake RV Campground where "AT&T service is great." Pet policies are generally accommodating, with designated dog areas at several parks, though Peaceful Pines RV Park received criticism for restrictive pet rules. Propane is available at select locations, including Liberty Lake RV Campground. Road noise can be an issue at parks near highways, particularly at Liberty Lake RV Campground which sits adjacent to I-90.

    Liberty Lake RV Campground

Looks like a parking lot with RVs

This is a newer RV park in Liberty Lake. They have only been open 2 years. Liberty Lake is between Spokane, WA and Coeur d’Alene ID. There are about 130 spaces or so, with concrete pads and paved streets. There is grass between sites, but they are much too close to be comfortable, and there is no shade! And, the rules!!! Lots more rules than most other camping areas.’ It also appears many of the residents are semi-permanent. They have free cable snd wifi, a dog park, playground, swimming pool, laundry, and dump station. The sites are 30/50 amp, most are pull through but the outer ring is back in. They also have propane. They are on the pricy side: an outside loop 50 ft. Site is $74/night. Good Sam gets you a 10% discount. It is easy access to I-90 both East and west.

    Tucannon River RV Park

    Peaceful

Beautifully maintained campground with friendly camp hosts. Affordable, large pull through sites. Large shade trees in several sites. Some of the most level sites we’ve stayed in. Community fire pit or bring your own to have in your site. Nice bathrooms with showers ($1 in quarters for 7 minutes). Plenty of grass area for kids to play in. Pets welcome. Close to Tucannon and Snake Rivers. Open year round.

    Liberty Lake Regional Park

    Quiet park close to Spokane

We spent 3 weeks at Liberty Lake Regional Park while visiting our son and grandkids in Spokane. The road in is a little narrow, but once in, it’s a great little campground. Most of the sites are fairly level. We stayed at 2 different sites over 3 weeks, and both were level. They are close together! They provide a fire pit if you want one. Picnic table, water and electric. The dump station is quite a drive, back out, up the hill. There is a clean shower/bathroom building and a beach within walking distance of the campground. While we were there the campground hosts did a fantastic job of keeping everything clean and tidy. Several hiking trails, including an equestrian trail, waterfall, fishing and lots of wildlife. There were deer in the campground every day, we saw moose, owls, pilated woodpecker, and hawks. We were there over July 4th weekend and they had a fireworks display on the beach.

    Spokane County Fairgrounds

    Enjoyable Stay

We followed the map from the post confirmation email we received from the Fairgrounds that included the gate code as well. We realized we hadn't recieved the email with the gate code, so about an hour out, we emailed to ask about the gate code. We got an immediate reply, which was nice. Once we got in the campground (CG) area, we had the choice of the closely spaced pull throughs A-1 through A-8 or the B back-in area that consists of 35 sites spread out over several rows. We decided on site B-29 with water and electric(50/30/20) that had one of the two nice-sized picnic tables in the CG plus two trees for some shade. Since the back-in sites are in a large grass/dirt field, you can pull around and make them pull throughs. You have to figure out how you are going to angle in the sites and hook up to the water and electric, as the utilties for each site aren't exactly intuitive. The power worked well and we got about 50 psi on the water. We got 4 bars on Verizon and since there are not a lot of trees, a clear shot for Starlink. This CG is bare bones, but we enjoyed that there were only about four campers while we were there on a Friday- Monday in July. There are plenty of little dumpsters and a dump station up near the north part/entrance. There’s a restroom building towards the CG entrance but it’s just a men’s and women’s two stall bathroom. There’s no shower facility in the CG. We enjoyed our three day stay.

    Liberty Lake RV Campground

    Nice RV Park

Park is new and well maintained. Roads are paved and easy access in and out. Sites are concrete pads with a picnic table also on concrete. While sites are close, they are spaced well enough that you don’t have to worry with hitting your neighbor with your awning or having to play Tetris with your slides. The prior review about it being a couple miles from I-90 is probably for the county park at the actual lake. This park is right on the side of I-90, so road noise 24 hours a day along with the train and industrial buildings on each side. So if you are looking peace and quiet, this isn’t it. It is a nice spot for working in the area though and is nicer than the other choices near by. Staff is friendly and are on the ball with keeping the grounds clean and offer a smile and wave. Amenities include a playground, basketball court, dog park, clubhouse, pool and bathhouse. All are nice. The downside are the prices and policies. There are no refunds. So if you put a deposit down and your plans change, they will only give you a credit for a year. The monthly rates are not bad, but electric is separate. There are no weekly rates, so if you just need a week or two it’s either pay the $80 daily rate or pay a month for a week. There is also a $100 deposit on the heat tape during winter on the spigot. If you don’t want to pay it then you have to call them to unlock the water to fill your tank. Even though the tape is on it regardless, so doesn’t make any sense. Wifi is useable for basic internet use. AT&T service is great though.

Bowl and Pitcher Campground — Riverside State Park

    Beautiful Campground Minutes from Spokane

The Bowl and Pitcher campground sits on the Spokane river just minutes from downtown Spokane. It doesn’t feel like it’s close to town. The area offers miles of hiking and biking trails. The campground has rv sites with water and electricity and tent camping sites. There’s a dump station too.

    Spokane KOA Journey

    KOA Spokane

Nice little place in the Spokane Valley close to shopping Idaho boarder. Has small outdoor pool bike rentals. Good bathroom and showers. Down side right next to train tracks though thr train didn't go by much during the day but of course it did at night blasting it's horn every time. It's a good enough place for a quick stop over on tour way to some other place not good for long stay. They did let us move to a bigger spot once we realized how close we were to our neighbors and the e kids we needed a little bigger spot and not a small patch of lawn with the neighbors slide-out 2ft from out picnic table
