Wolf Lodge Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Log buildings and gravel roads give Wolf Lodge Campground a rustic character that stands out along the I-90 corridor east of Coeur d'Alene. Set in forested terrain near a creek and within reach of the lake, this privately managed campground handles both RVs and tent campers, with full hookups available for rigs up to 58 feet. Sites are close together, which is worth factoring in if space between neighbors matters to you.

The amenity list is substantial. Showers, drinking water, electric, water, and sewer hookups, a dump station, and WiFi are all on-site. Campers have noted some highway noise given the proximity to I-90. On the activity side, horseshoes, cornhole, kayaks, a trampoline, and a playground are available on the grounds, and the campground has hosted live music on weekend evenings. Nearby, Wolf Lodge Campground & RV Park and camp coeur d'alene give the area a cluster of options along this stretch.

Cleanliness comes up consistently across reviews. Rhonda R. describes the showers as "large, clean with lots of hot water and free," which aligns with what several other visitors have noted. Verizon cell coverage runs at one to two bars, so connectivity is limited but functional. Reservations are accepted, pets are allowed, and the check-in process has been straightforward for guests arriving in the early evening. This campground works well as an overnight stop on a longer route through northern Idaho.

Stop 1 of an overnight

Only giving 4 stars because of how close together the sites are situated. Otherwise, this is a nice rv park/ campground. It's a little overkill for one overnight of a longer trip, but we are in our 32ft 5th wheel and prefer not to take chances on first come first serve or boondocking. We arrived on a Saturday evening around 5:30pm. Contrary to what was emailed to us, the office was still open and the check-in process was easy. The atmosphere was festive. They had a band playing behind the office as entertainment! This looks to be a very family friendly park. There was a trampoline, playground, and other games. Unfortunately, we are not here long enough to take advantage of the amenities. Verizon wireless cell service is showing 1 or 2 bars, but I don't seem to be having too much of an issue with connectivity. A con and why the 4 stars, the sites are close together and it felt like a tight squeeze to get in, but there were some rigs bigger than ours in here so it is doable. The park has a rustic feel with the log buildings and gravel roads and sites. We got full hook-ups but the sewer connection is smaller than we are used to. I'm not sure if we have an adapter for it. But, only being here one night and having empty tanks to begin with, we will not need to dump the tanks anyway.

Very nice campground!

The hosts were awesome! We rode in on motorcycles and they gave us a special quiet spot. We had no tents with us so they loaned us tarps and thick moving blankets to put under our sleeping bags. The campground was clean and quiet. Showers were large,, clean with lots of hot water and free! The price was reasonable. I would definitely camp there again for longer than 1 night next time.
