What has happened ?

We have stayed here many times in the past. We have seen it going down hill over the years. For example: 1 RV spots the grass is dead in most of them along with dead trees and shrubs. 2 The weeds are between 18 inches to 4 foot tall. 3 last year the sprinklers worked and this year they don't. 4 We came back this year to no heated pool and now no pool to use because of staffing. 5 there alot of RV spots that are saturated dog urine and dogs running free. 6 There are people here that have their whole house piled around their Rv. 7 You have to be careful of your RV, when they mow. Rocks hit your RV,even when the drive down the road with lawn mower or string trimmer. 8 As we walk around the park, we walk into the empty RV spots to look and we notice the bricks are very uneven and are a trip hazard in some. 9 The club house is locked down so you can't use it anytime. So if you want to use anything it has to be Mon-Fri 8:00-4:30.

Expensive and tight

Give this three stars due to price, tightness of sites, and condition of campground in general. Although this is intended to be a higher end resort it fails pretty miserably. Landscaping is quite beautiful but I would forgo that for more space between sites. Luckily we had no one on either side of us. Place is also starting to get run down as evidenced by a few photos I provide. Pool does look clean and laundry facilities are nice including large capacity washers. Tiny fenced dog area but right next to it is a big grassy field that can be used on leash. Conveniently located but there is another rv park nearby that we will try next time.

Town

This RV park is more of a place for people to live, than a campground. Most people in this campground live here in their campers. They have a small grassy park area, and are on the outskirts of town (Spokane). Little worry of people wondering through, however all the sites are very close together with no personal grass area to speak of.

Frequently Asked Questions

What amenities are available at Alderwood RV Resort?

Alderwood RV Park offers limited amenities primarily designed for short-term stays. The grounds feature a small grassy park area for recreation and some landscaping with trees and shrubs throughout the property. Water, electric, and sewer hookups are available for RVs. The park maintains a clean environment, though the condition of facilities has changed over time. The resort was designed to be higher-end, but currently has more basic offerings. Sprinkler systems are installed throughout the grounds, though functionality may vary seasonally.

How does Alderwood RV Resort compare to other RV parks in Spokane?

Alderwood RV Park positions itself as a residential-style park rather than a traditional campground, with many long-term residents living in their RVs. Compared to other Spokane options, Alderwood offers beautiful landscaping but features significantly tighter spacing between sites. The park provides a quieter experience being located away from the city center, though you'll still hear some traffic noise. While clean, it falls short of true resort quality despite its name. It's best suited for overnight or short stays when traveling through Spokane rather than extended vacation camping.

What is the location and accessibility of Alderwood RV Park in Spokane?

Alderwood RV Park is situated on the outskirts of Spokane, providing a location that balances accessibility with a bit of distance from downtown congestion. The park's location offers good security with little concern about unauthorized foot traffic. The area experiences some road noise due to proximity to traffic routes, but overall maintains a relatively quiet atmosphere. The property is easily accessible for RVs of various sizes, with paved entrance roads. Its position makes it convenient for travelers passing through the Spokane area rather than those seeking a destination campground experience.

What are the reservation requirements and pricing at Alderwood RV Resort?

Alderwood RV Resort's pricing is considered moderate to high relative to the amenities provided. The park accepts reservations for both short-term and extended stays, though many spaces are occupied by long-term residents. For travelers just passing through, the park can accommodate overnight stays without lengthy advance booking during non-peak periods. Pricing varies based on site selection, hookup requirements, and length of stay. Given the fluctuating condition of facilities, it's advisable to contact the park directly for current rates and to confirm availability before arrival, especially during summer months when availability might be limited.
