Easternmost River...ish BLM cmpgrnd
When the larger river campgrounds were full, this one was 1/2 empty. No real river views, dense willows, but quiet and at just 6 miles to Moab, a great adventure launching CG space #2 can take a 30ft trailer.
Oh and don't be that Douc#e that skips on payment, two nights, both our neighbors skipped on the measly $20 the BLM charges to maintain the space. There still free boondocking spots north of town ...
Close to road but has good shade
There are eight sites. A few have a good shade #1 is the best. All sites have fire rings and picnic tables - no cell service - a very clean vault toilet - you can pay there by check or cash or go down to big Bend to the credit card machine. Close to bouldering area, but site #1 at Big Bend is a short walk.
Lots of space and great access to the river!
Sites were well spaced out and had great river access. Definitely a bigger area than ones earlier on the road like Hal and Oak Grove. Some spots had a few trees for shade, and facilities were in good shape!
