Secluded woodsy campsite

Due to fire restrictions, you need to drive 1173 or other older interstate dirt roads to find eligible camping areas. We found a great one about 50 yards back from the dirt road and stayed for two nights. It made getting to Bryce Canyon very easy, and we were even able to make a small fire pit to stay warm as we chilled in the evening. Definitely recommend staying along this trail for your visit to Bryce! Big love

Decent campsite along river. Near Bear Lake

We stayed here for a night after learning Tony Grove Campsite was inaccessible due to fires. Long dirt road with tons of sites for RVs of tents. Our campsite was just alongside the Logan River. It had some bugs but we enjoyed its views, and even had some of the pasturing cows give us a "hello" in the morning.

Can you give 10 stars?!

One of the most unforgettable campsites ever. Stunning views of the Grand Canyon as you camp just feet away from the edge. Dirt road was easy (2W will have zero issues), fires were not allowed for us but there are fire pits, and tons of space between campsites. Gets a little windy at night but no bugs. If you are staying near the North Rim, you would be a fool not to camp here. Big love

Decent lakefront campsite

Got a space here during one of the busier weekends of summer. Table with shade, fire pit, on Bear Lake. It's a 3 because we prefer more private campsites (this was not), but you cannot beat this kind of access to the lake.

Perfect homebase for Steamboat area hikes

Stayed here for two nights. Beautiful views all around, plenty of space between campsites ans a creek nearby. Great hikes just a short drive away and Steamboat Springs is easy to drive to for meals or supplies (~40 min drive) Cheap, convenient, and great for groups ($5/night with interagency pass). Big love

Peaceful but buggy Riverside spot

We were able to grab a nice campsite here around 6 PM on a Friday. Lovely camp for a night with a fire pit and table, about 10 meters from the water. Slept outside just fine, but it was very buggy at night and early morning.

Holy sunset views

Peaceful campsite (no bugs) with a few slots, all of which overlooked a beautiful canyon just near Canyonlands NP entrance. Sunset was breathtaking, not too windy at night, and a great fire pit. Big love

Great spot. Close to sand dunes. The stars are unbelievable

Rough road to get up it, go slow. When we arrived at 9pm all of the standard sites were taken but they had some overflow available. Great spot, quiet. Close to Great Sand Dune National park. The stars are unbelievable- you can see the bands of the Milky Way. 😍😍😍

Pro tip: the sand dunes are open 24hrs, but oasis the board rental/food/gas place on the way doesn’t open until 9am. Rent from Christie sports further back in town if you want to get a jump on the day. Big love
