Great "walk-in" sites

The walk in sites have a lot of sweet camping spots. Great views of the desert and mountains, space between sites (little privacy though), even some scrappy trees for decent shade, and dirt that was very stakable which is necessary for the sometimes high winds. Area is separated from RVs and generators. Walk in is a joke and the walk is close to cars, no problem unpacking. The sites on the outer loops are best, the ones close to drive in sites just have a view of drive in sites. Also, the drive in sites suck. Packed gravel and RV hell.

Sinks for washing are fabulous. Toilets are fine.

Beautiful redwoods

Lovely narrow canyon with towering Redwoods. Most sites are in the forest including the river sites which generally appear to be worth the upgrade. Plenty of space between many sites but site location is important. Showers were okay.

Beautiful and basic

Beautiful spot in the canyon. Decent space between campsites and good privacy. It is a 8 mile drive to Moab but the drive is outstanding. Vault toilet is adequate. No trash or water.

No river access. Spaces were filling up by 4pm midweek in October.

Convenient, majestic views

Decently spaced out sites (though it varies) with good trees for shade but no privacy. Sites near river are optimal for views and night time privacy and the sound of the stream, but during the day expect to have a lot of trail walkers go by.

Chances are high you will see loads of Mule deer at camp. Views of the canyon at sunset are outstanding.

Price is right

Stayed at modern campground. Very quiet midweek in October which was great because there would be no privacy between the small sites. Nice walking access to nice beach to dam trail. We appreciated the small playground near the north campground. Showers are meh, but overall value is great at $11 per night. It would be an annoyingly long drive to primitive campground.

Wooded and private

Nicely wooded spot with ample space between spots. Decent showers ran out of hot water though. Quick drive to points of interest in park but no good walking to those points. Plenty of last minute availability on a weeknight in October. Very few mosquitoes left by this time. Would come back!
