    Great RV Park

This was our first time staying in an RV park with full hookups. It was great! The staff was very friendly and accommodated our requests without any hesitation. The views from the campsite that overlook starvation reservoir are gorgeous. The trees were beautiful and provided a lot of shade.

    Great lake to play at.

This is a great place for a campsite. There is a really nice pavilion and really nice bathrooms with running water and showers. Close to the boat ramp and the views are incredible.  Really nice paths to get you to the beach and the boat ramp.

Lots of fish in the lake and craw fish. The water is refreshing to swim, water ski, paddle board or any water sport.

Lots of tent camping spots with great views, Group sites and lots of trailer camping with hook ups and water.

Lots of bathrooms with running water and also a few pit style outhouses. This campground can get busy in the summer months. They take reservations so that is your best option.

    Currant Creek

Currant Creek Reservoir and Campground 2021

Dirt road is washboard hell, but you are rewarded when you arrive to a clean and quiet campground stay. Plenty of trees, flowers and wildlife including hummingbirds, deer, sandhill cranes, moose, beaver, chipmunks, squirrels and fish. Water is cold, but plenty deep for fishing, boating, canoes and paddle boards.  Fishing was steady.  Be prepared to pay to launch your boat and empty your tanks at the dump station.

This campground has reservation and first come first served sites. There is tent and trailer camping available. Loop B has group sites. There was no water available in the campground the last few times we were here. There are no hook ups-electric, water, sewer at this campground.

There are restrooms in each loop of the campground. There is a quiet time enforced from 10 PM to 6 AM. No generators after 10 PM.

Bring cash or check as they do not take credit cards on site.

    We will camp here again.

Comfortable and reliable RV Park in Helper, UT

Newer RV Park with super friendly and helpful staff. The owner was on-site and very active. Good dude.
Sites are gravel but level. Sites are still under final construction and from what I saw, will back-up to the river. We stayed 2 nights and visited family in Price, UT. Due to COVID we did not use their Bathroom facilities.
We would stay again when we are passing through on US-6. Small world - we visited the Umpqua Lighthouse in OR and met a Tour Guide that had been the Camp Host at Castle Gate RV park! Like us, he liked the place!

Still under construction, but when finished it will be a very nice and convenient park between Salt Lake to Moab. They only have two rows open at this time but offered a discount to our stay. The sites are very level with full hook ups and great wifi. We will definitely come back on our way to Moab for another night stay.  Thank you.

    Blue Cut RV Park

This is a very nice small full hookups campground! Spot are small. But there are a few larger 5th wheel trails here. Michelle and her husband are very friendly and easy to talk with. Was open by her parents I think she said in 1956. She grew up here. Now runs it. Working on upkeep and improvements. Spots leavel to within and inch or two. The trains run 75 yards from camp. And can hear the highway to the west. But blue Cut is Located on east side of a canyon so cliff wall reflects sound. So if your a person who has to wear ear plugs when camping in the back country of a national forest, this is not for you! Have enjoyed our two day stay here at Blue Cut RV Park and will stop in when passing through this part of country.

    WHAT A BEAUTIFUL RV PARK

Just an overnight stop for us but this newer RV park is really nice.  The campsites are all gravel but they were level.  Restrooms/showers were some of the best I've seen in an RV park.  The town of Helper is nearby and there were some really interesting storefronts on main street.  The price was reasonable (with a discount) but it was still creeping up on $50 a night.  If there was a negative it was during check-in I mentioned that I was a Dyrt Pro member and the young lady behind the counter told me we don't discount for that.  Instead she gave me their "first responder" discount.

    Canyon View RV Park

    $25 a night!

Canyon View RV Park is a long parking lot with 15-20 water and electric hookups and dump station. The sites (back in) are on one side, car (tows) are parked on the other. Most of them have a grassy area behind the RV. A short walk behind the campground and down a treed path is a park. The fee is $25 per night, paid thru a self check in (pictured).

All in all, I thought pricing was a little steep. It’s an option for the area but wouldn’t be my first option.

    Can't Wait to Come Back

We overnighted here on our way to Ridgway, CO but wish we had more time. This is a great little RV park. It is very well maintained, has spacious sites, and the staff is incredibly friendly. We didn't have a chance to spend any time in Helper, but it looked so cool driving through. Lots of old buildings and businesses that look like a blast from the past. Connectivity is great here on all carriers. The only thing I can ding this place for is road noise from the highway and train noise from the nearby line and yard. But, I like trains, so I can't complain too much. Otherwise, this is a fantastic little RV park and I look forward to the opportunity to come back and explore the area more.

    Lodgepole at Flaming Gorge

Lodgepole is a fantastic site. While it was out of the Flaming Gorge area, it was close enough to get to many of the southern features of the reservoir. From what I saw each site was large enough for a RV or camper trailer and had a large level area for a tent. There was a RV dump on site for $6. We took a camp trailer, so I did not check out the restroom on site, but there is one advertised. One thing I did not like was how close the sites were together. We could hear rowdy children in the site next to us clearly while outside of our trailer. Other than that, this place was a gem.

Great and only place with full hook-up in Mt Pleasant/Ephraim/Fairview area

IMPORTANT INFO: Please read. NEW UPDATE as of April 14, 2022 To contact them call:(435) 462-2010 WEB SITE: https://www.pleasantcreek.camp/ NOTE: some of the other links did not work.  We stayed there summer of 2021 under the old owner. We have just made reservations to stay there again in May 2022. It was a great stay. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because some of the sites aren't level and are pretty close to each other. I had to use 3 yellow square leveling blocks on the left side. Hopefully they fixed this under the new ownership. Swimming pool was great. Did not use the showers or bathrooms so no comment on them. Staff was (and is now--I just made reservations for May 2022) very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a place in the Ephraim- Mt Pleasant- Fairview area with full hook-ups...........THIS IS IT! Highly recommended. We love exploring the area and Skyline Drive. Beautiful country. Just 8 miles from the amazing little Fairview museum where we learned about the Mormon pioneers who settled here. No little black flies when we were there but during some weeks can be an annoying problem. We are excited to stay there again.

    Pretty view

Make sure to follow the instructions to get to the RV park or else you'll end up driving your rig through a tiny parking lot to turn around. The golf course and mountain range is very nice. However, the spots are not level, and the water pressure is high. Make sure you have a water regulator. There aren't any showers or restrooms for the campers.

    Millsite State Park Campground

    Interesting Contrasts

I selected the Millsite Campground because of its proximity to the Moore Cutoff road’s interesting geology, located a few miles away. Driving from I-70 to Millsite in Ferron on UT-10 was joyless because the landscape is so chaotic, wounded by nature and mining. But Millsite provides some respite if you are arriving in an RV. It’s full hookups and dump site are quite adequate. The reservoir was almost empty in October, although only two RVs used the place on the night we stayed there. The less pricey partial hookup sites were full. Very quiet in the full hookup area. Clean. The grey morass quickly falls away when heading south from UT-10. Millsite and Ferron have fall color that perks things up a bit.

This RV park was such a great stop along our road trip. Our kids enjoyed their time at the playground and splash pad while I knocked out some laundry in their beautiful facility. We stayed 1 night on our way to DNM. No hookups but a few pull through sites for RVs. We didn't have reservations but found 2 pull through RV sites right away. The rest of the open sites filled up before dark. If it's summer and you're trying to get in without a reservation come as close to check in as possible. In summer of 2020 the bathrooms were closed due to Covid but they had porta potties out (they were clean-ish). We enjoyed jogging the various loops for our morning workout.

    Beautiful Park

This place is new and they are still adding sites. Between high cliffs on the Price River. I was worried about the train noise…TOTALLY UNFOUNDED worries. I heard the train around 10 pm and then again in the morning. No close crossings so no whistle noise. Their water pressure is outstanding in fact they recommend a pressure regulator on the supply line. The park WiFi was beyond excellent. The staff were also beyond excellent. We got our propane tank filled then escorted to our site. As I said it’s on the Price River. The staff have made a mini park at waters edge. All in all a terrific park. Definitely recommend Castle Gate RV Park

    Tranquil!

Beautiful RV Park!! Friendly service! Escorted to our Site# 201 which backed up to the Price River. Site was super level for us. Great space between neighbors on our side of the park. There is a picnic table. However, we took our chairs down to the river bank each evening. So tranquil and relaxing! Laundry room is nice and all machines were in working order. We did not use the restrooms but took a peek in and they are all clean and look new. Beautiful mountain scenery as well. AT&T, T-Mobile Cell Service were excellent. No issues with their WiFI. So many cable channels! If there was one Con, it was that the dog park/run area was muddy. Looks like they are watering the area to maybe get more grass to grow. However, there are plenty of other grassy spots with Dog Waste Stations and bags to walk your dog. Street traffic noise can be heard. We do have a white noise machine and it did not interrupt our sleep. Enjoyed our relaxing stay here! Highly recommend!

    Lodgepole Campground

Lodgepole Campground - Group Site B

Nice basic campground just coming out of Heber City, UT on your way to Strawberry Reservoir. This is a fairly large campground with numerous sites. The group site parking was shallow. We could barely fit our 19 ft travel trailer and our truck. Outside of the group site it appears there are deeper sites that could accommodate a long fifth wheel. Parking space is wide enough to park another car next to trailer. There are a few tent sites as around the group site pavilion.

No hookups for RV’s. Dump station on site for $10 fee. RV spots are back in only. There is running water and flushable toilets on site; however, the water line was under repair and not turned on during our stay. It sounds like the repairs have been going on for a long time.

There is cellular service, but it’s a little slow. I have sprint carrier and had service.

Negatives: The campground is close a highway incline/decline which is frequented by Semi’s which bring lots of noise to the campground throughout the day and into the night.

Stinging Nettle: lots of stinging nettle located around group site B, so stay on the paths as much as possible.

Small private campground with country feel. Owner Michelle very friendly and welcoming and accommodating. Pros: Full hookups at all sites. Sites spacious enough to extend slides. Sites are level and clean. Senior and military discounts available. Friendly atmosphere in campground. Con: sites are close together with little privacy. Added bonus: Michelle gave me a jar of homemade apricot jam which was delicious 😋😋. Highly recommend this campground when traveling through area.

Group sites are great for large RVs. Big fire ring area, multiple tables and restrooms with flushing toilets. Most campsites aren’t long enough for RVs over 20ft. Perfect for tent camping.

    Strawberry Bay

    Great Campground near the water

Arrived on a Friday (July 2021) afternoon and a thunderstorm was passing through. It was kind of fun or should I say added to the outdoor experience. Camped in Loop C (C09) which has a great view of the reservoir. There are no hookups available...expect in Loop B which all sites in that loop have full hookups. The campground is neat and the bathrooms are kept clean and tidy. The actual campsites are spread out enough where you don't feel like you're squished together like a parking lot. Each site has a fire pit, picnic table(s) and some have a mini shelter. There are easy trails that lead to the water for all sorts of activities. The weather was nice and a lot cooler than in the valley. Even though the campground was pretty full, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was in the evening. Reservations are required for the summertime which is there high season. Lastly, the camp host was awesome, she would scoot by in her golf cart around the loop and wave high at you and asked if you needed anything. I will definitely return!

Gorgeous views, very clean, little prairie dog buddies

We took a 21’ bumper pull to a double RV site and had a super great time. Site 46 on loop B is so good, double RV spot, right by the bathroom, tons of extra room for a tent if you want one

Toilets flush! Honestly one of the best bathrooms I’ve seen.

The northern part of loop B is really close to the dock if you’ve got a boat.

We had a couple prairie dogs and chipmunks visit our site. Didn’t bother us, still wary of humans, but they were fun to watch

    Canyon View RV Park

Just a parking lot, but in a beautiful park/awesome walk/bike trail!

First come, first serve, dump station on site(back of parking lot), friendly camphost; great access to an awesome bike/walk trail, close to town& Walmart

SITE: Water and Electricity only and all amenities worked great. All sites are back in and spaced in a large parking lot. Picnic table per site in the shade under the trees by your site; level site; all concrete; the sites are close together, but it wasn't full so the RVers thoughtfully spaced out from each other; full sun

CELL SERVICE: AT&T worked great- not all bars but it worked well for use working remote and no issues with video calls using our hotspot.

OTHER: Located on the edge of Canyon View Park. The park had just closed as they prep for their annual Christmas light show, but you could still walk on the trail through the park to access the main bike/walk trail which was awesome and goes on for many miles! We loved using this everyday we were there. Bathroom in the park was really clean. Dump station is in the parking lot(super convenient) on the back side. It was super gusty, windy at night and consistent every night from about 11pm- 10am. Maybe it's just seasonal? Make sure your awning is in!

    Nine Mile Canyon Ranch

    A Little bit of everything

The 9 mile Canyon Ranch has a little bit of everything. RV spots, tent camping, cabins. There are clean bathrooms and showers for $3. You can hammock in some spots. Best to call in ahead so they get you a best part with some of the trees.

Beautiful area. No service but there is Wi-Fi at the house. The lady there was SUPER nice and answered all my questions and was very willing to help and make sure I had a good stay.

I slept in my Bronco but my spot had a campfire and picnic table. Enjoyed my stay.
