It offers a 1/2-mile round-trip trail to interesting red rock hoodoos.

Potters Pond Campground is located in a high mountain valley next to two scenic ponds, at an elevation of 8,900 feet. Visitors enjoy fishing, canoeing, horseback riding and exploring the surrounding off-road vehicle trails.
The ponds offer great canoeing and rainbow trout fishing. Horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking are popular in the area as well. The expansive Arapeen OHV Trail System can be accessed from the campground and has more than 350 miles of designated, well-maintained trails for off-road vehicles. The trails are suitable for all riding levels.

Currant Creek Campground sits next to Currant Creek Reservoir at an elevation of 8,000 feet. A wide variety of recreational activities awaits, including boating, fishing and hiking.
Rainbow, cutthroat and brown trout fishing is a popular activity on the reservoir, as is canoeing, kayaking and boating. A boat ramp is located on-site.Numerous horseback riding, hiking and biking trails crisscross the area, including a nice loop around the reservoir. Currant Creek Trail begins in D Loop of the campground.
The campground is situated on a hillside above the reservoir, among stands of aspen, fir and lodgepole pine trees, which offer partial shade. Summer wildflowers are plentiful. Deer and elk frequent the site, and nearly every campsite has scenic views of the reservoir and surrounding mountains.

Diamond Campground is located among shady cottonwoods and willow at an elevation of 5,200 feet. The family sites are located just 15 miles from Spanish Fork and the group sites are 2-3 miles further. Visitors enjoy exploring local trails and relaxing along the stream.
The stream and creek offer fishing for brown and cutthroat trout. An interpretive nature trail winds through the campground along the stream. Hiking, biking and off-road vehicle trails are abundant in the area.
Diamond Fork Stream and Wanrhodes Creek run through the site. Loop A has nice cover from cottonwoods and is more shady; Loop B is more open with few trees but plentiful grasses and sagebrush.
Diamond Fork Canyon has an array of things to do and see. Red Ledges Picnic Area is located less than a mile from the campground, with beautiful red rock formations like Diamond Fork Arch. Fifth Water Hot Springs is a popular attraction. A 2.5-mile trail rewards hikers with scenic views and several hot springs pools of varying temperatures. Monks Hollow Trail for hiking, biking and off-road vehicle riding, begins 5 miles from the campground.

Located just a few hundred yards downstream of the San Rafael campground, this was built by equestrians for equestrians. Six campsites with pullouts to accommodate vehicle and horsetrailer surround a central holding pen with 3 separate stalls.
Maple Lake is a timbered setting with limited accessibility. Lake fishing and floating, rafting, kayaking, swimming and hiking are popular recreation activities for this area. Tents and very small campers work best at this campground. The elevation is 5,800 feet.
Rainbow and brook trout fishing is popular in the creek below the campground. Canoeing, floating and kayaking are enjoyed on the calm waters of Maple Lake . Red Lake Trail leaves from the upper camping areas by the lake.

Reservation Cancellations & Changes Cancelling a Reservation: Customers may cancel their reservation prior to arrival both on-line and through the call center. A $10 service fee will be withheld from any refund for a cancellation. Depending on when you cancel in relation to your arrival day, it may be considered a late cancellation (see below). Changing an Existing Reservation: When changes are made prior to the cut-off window: If a customer wants to switch dates that are entirely outside of the original reservation dates, there is a $10 change fee. There is no change fee if a customer extends or shortens a reservation, as long as the change includes dates from the original reservation. If they choose to depart early, they may forfeit the recreation fee for the day of departure. There is no change fee if the customer wants to switch sites that are the same price with the same reservation dates in the same facility. If a reservation is made that includes dates beyond the maximum booking window, that reservation cannot be changed until 18 days have passed from the original booking date. Late Cancellations or Cancellations within the Cut-off Window Individual Campsites: A customer who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). If a customer requests a refund for an early departure after the facility check-out time has passed, the customer will not be refunded for that night and is eligible for a refund on any additional nights that will not be used. Interagency Pass Discounts The following are the only Interagency Passes that provide a discount on camping reservations and some tickets: Senior Annual Pass Senior Lifetime Pass Access Pass Golden Age Pass Golden Access Pass Eligible pass discounts only apply to individual campsites and may apply to a ticket for the pass holder. Change and Cancellation Policies and Fees Overnight and Day Use Facilities: To ensure fairness, reservation arrival or departure dates may not be changed beyond the booking window until 18 days after booking the reservation. Camping / Day Use: A $10.00 service fee will apply if you change or cancel your reservation (including campsites, cabins, lookouts, group facilities, etc.). The $10.00 service fee will be deducted from the refund amount. You can cancel or change reservations through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777. Late Cancellations Overnight and Day Use Facilities: Late cancellations are those cancelled between 12:01 a.m. (Eastern) on the day before arrival and check out time on the day after arrival. Individual Campsites: If a customer cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival they will be charged a $10.00 service fee and will also forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a single night's reservation will forfeit the entire use fee but no cancellation fee will apply. Cabins / Lookouts: Customers will be charged a $10.00 cancellation fee and forfeit the first night's use fee if a cabin or lookout reservation is cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee. Group Facility: If a customer cancels a group overnight facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date they will be charged the $10.00 service fee and forfeit the first night's use fee. Cancellations for a single night's use will not be assessed a service fee. Group Day Use Area: If a customer cancels a group day use facility reservation within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date, they will forfeit the total day use fee with no service fee charge. No-Shows Camping / Day Use: A camping no-show customer is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date. Reserved campsites and group overnight facilities will be held until check-out time on the day following your scheduled arrival. Group day-use facilities will be held until check-in time on your scheduled arrival date. If a customer does not arrive at the campground or group facility by check-out time the day after arrival or does not cancel the reservation by the times listed under "Late Cancellations" above, the customer may be assessed a $20.00 service fee and forfeit use fees. Refunds Customers must request refunds no later than 14 days after the scheduled departure date. Recreation.gov will not grant refund requests after 14 days of departure. Reservation Fee: For some facilities, tours or permits an additional reservation fee is charged. For some overnight and day-use facilities, an additional non-refundable reservation fee may apply. The non-refundable reservation fee for tours and tickets is $1.00. The non-refundable reservation fee for permits varies by location. Refunds for Bankcard Purchases: Refunds for bank card payments will be issued as a credit to the original bank card. Refunds for Check or Cash Purchases: Refunds for Recreation.gov payments made by check or money order, and cash payments at selected campgrounds will be issued a check refund. A refund will be processed within 30 days of receipt and approval. Please Note: Refund requests made during or after departure can only be processed when approved by the facility management staff based upon local policy. Refunds for Emergency Closures: In the event of an emergency closure, the Recreation.gov team will attempt to notify users and offer alternate dates (as appropriate). If this is not possible, reservations will be cancelled and all fees paid will be refunded. Reservation fees for free tickets are non-refundable in the event of an emergency closure. Recreation.gov Billing Information Reservation transaction will appear on customer's credit card statements as "Recreation.gov 877-444-6777." Many people enjoy the solitude and primitive experience of camping away from developed campgrounds and other campers. Dispersed camping is the term used for camping anywhere in the National Forest outside of a designated campground. Dispersed camping means no toilets, no treated water, and no fire grates are provided.
Camping in dispersed areas on the Forest is allowed for fourteen (14) days in any thirty (30) day consecutive period. Campers must move off Forest after reaching the 14-day limit. The stay limit also applies to all camping equipment (tents, chairs, ATVs, ATV trailers, etc.), even if used by a different person or group. Camping equipment must be removed by the end of the fourteen (14) day stay limit or the equipment may be impounded. Stay limits are implemented to reduce impacts to vegetation and wildlife habitat, as well as provide access to popular campsite areas for other visitors.
There are extra responsibilities and skills that are necessary for dispersed camping. It's your responsibility to know these before you try this new experience.

Stayed in 33B first night and 23C second night. C loop seems a little more sparse and spaced out. Outer loop seems better. Bathrooms very clean and well stocked. Sites mostly level. Pine and aspen, some spots more shaded than others. Easy walk to lake and there is a nice paved trail around it. Spotty cell service at road, none in campground.
Food aside: Freeze-dried Pad thai with chicken, supplemented chicken (packet from Wal Mart) and it was very good with a bit of heat. Also added garlic powder (always).

We loved everything about this place. The sites are in great condition and very clean. The flush toilets were a plus. It is a little bit of a jaunt to get to the lake, but it is worth going to for fishing, kayaking, paddleboards, or swimming. There are several ATV/OHV trails in the area. The camp hosts said that we could have our SxS in the campground as long as it was street legal, and they didn't charge me an extra vehicle fee. The two things that made this review 4 stars is the dirt road is a washboard mess. Basically, had to roll in 4-wheel drive in the lowest gear or I would have been shaken off the side. The second were all the cows that are allowed to graze through the campground.

Made a reservation for our RV. Nice, wide spots, all on grass. A firepit and a grill. Clean spots.
Very very crowded with a large group of campers, using the carpark and picknickarea the whole day and night. Too noisy. We didn't use the toilets because of the group of people next to it. The road is near, quity noisy also at night. And a train is passing every few hours, using its horn before the bend, 24/7....
Very nice host, who dropped by to check whether we were ok after arrival.
River is brownish, not meant to swim in.
Overall: good enough for one night while travelling from A to B. I guess the weekdays ( non-holiday) might be better.

Plenty of spots on an easy dirt road, campfire rings and lots of space. There's so many birds and critters so you get the nature sounds but it's close to the road so there's road noise all night. Beautiful space. I think I heard a moose in the night-possibly not, but possibly?

TravelerWe came up the end of August into Seprember. This is during the bow deer hunting. We were lucky to find one open camp ground. Bow hunters occupy mostly all the camp grounds.
The higher up you go the dirt roads get really rocky and rough.
ScoutThe campsite was ok. I get the bathrooms were in the woods, but at least make them look ‘clean’ imo. The camp host was also not great. He came around at dark to tell us we couldn’t put our tent there, even tho it was already set up with beds and everything. Had to take it all down to move. The water wasn’t on at our campsite, so we had to walk down the road to get water.
ScoutVery peaceful location and beautiful reservoir! It is located about 17 miles off hwy 40 (take the route which is paved for 10 miles and dirt road for 7 miles until you reach campground. Flush toilets and plenty of water spigots to fill your fresh water tanks.
ScoutWe came here middle of the week and stayed in B57 in the upper loop. We basically had the place to ourselves and it was lush in green in mid June. We had a great firepit and BBQ grill as well as a picnic table. Lots of spots had covered tables, but we had a pop up, so we didn't care. All driveways and roads up to and around camp were paved. We have a 31 ft class A motor home and we navigated around easily. A loop has lots more trees but we certainly were not lacking. We will be back! Only 50 min from Salt Lake City.
ScoutI absolutely love it here. Nestled in the Uinta National Forest in Spanish Fork canyon. About a 2 1/2 mile drive from the fifth water hot springs trail. No hookups- if you are in an RV this is a dry campground. This is the only campground open late Fall. If you plan on staying here and visiting during the late summer/Fall- bring proper shoes! It is muddy this time of year

GuideDirt road is washboard hell, but you are rewarded when you arrive to a clean and quiet campground stay. Plenty of trees, flowers and wildlife including hummingbirds, deer, sandhill cranes, moose, beaver, chipmunks, squirrels and fish. Water is cold, but plenty deep for fishing, boating, canoes and paddle boards. Fishing was steady. Be prepared to pay to launch your boat and empty your tanks at the dump station.
This campground has reservation and first come first served sites. There is tent and trailer camping available. Loop B has group sites. There was no water available in the campground the last few times we were here. There are no hook ups-electric, water, sewer at this campground.
There are restrooms in each loop of the campground. There is a quiet time enforced from 10 PM to 6 AM. No generators after 10 PM.
Bring cash or check as they do not take credit cards on site.
We will camp here again.

LegendWe were blown away at how tranquil and beautiful the surroundings are at Potters Pond Campground. The abundant trees and brush truly make one feel like they are a million miles away from home. The journey to the campground starts at Millers Flat Road which is a dirt road that is for the most part well groomed/maintained. It is very bumpy, but can be done with most vehicles. We were towing our 24' TT so we were going slow. It is about 8.3 miles of dirt road to the campground from UT 31. The sites are spaced far enough from each other which gives you plenty of room to spread out and relax. The short walk to the pond is easy and you will appreciate the stillness of the water. Most people were either fishing or enjoying the pond on a row boat. Not 100% sure if the pond is okay to swim in as there are no signage and the presence of blue algae is apparent. Potters Pond is part of the USDA national forest and is wide open and plenty of trails to hike/bike. The campground is adjacent to the Appain Trails where one has access to 300+ miles of off-road enjoyment.
The campground does not have any potable water or any services. There are vault toilets spread out throughout the grounds. Also, there are no dumpsters....so what you bring in, you have to take with you. The campground is situated above 9000ft elevation so the days are mild warm and the nights can be cool to cold. If you're looking for solitude and nature, this is the place to go!
ScoutWe tried Loop A and found a shaded spot just perfect for our tent. It wasn't crowded on a Thursday night but many spots were reserved for the weekend. Amenities included water, pit toilet, and AT&T service.

RangerThis campground is very remote. There are pit toilets, but no water so you have to bring your own in. Also, you have to haul out your garbage since there aren’t any dumpsters onsite. The campground is in great shape and well taken care of. I love that the sites will accommodate more than one vehicle and family per site. The campground is right on a main access road for OHV’s to drive up to Skyline Drive which is good if that’s what you are there for. If not, the noise and traffic of those groups might be annoying for you especially on the weekends. Choose a campsite that off of the main road. The ponds are great for kayaks, paddle boards, and fishing.
TravelerIt’s a beautiful spot with lots of hiking and shade. The water was pretty low and you had to slug through some nasty mud to get in, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The camp host was the sweetest lady ever! We will be coming back for sure!

This dog-friendly BLM campground made a great home base for adventuring in the Buckhorn Wash and Little Grand Canyon overlook area. There was minimal road noise at night, though you can hear neighboring campers since it's a fairly open campground. On our night it was rather windy so plan to bring strong tie-downs for your ground tent if you plan to use the tent pads.
