Great views of the lake

Pull through and back in sites available. The back in sites are right on the edge of the hill that leads down to the water. Water and electricity. There’s a place right outside the park to dump your tanks.

Mountain View Camping

We stayed at the Mountain View campground. I was glad I had a back-in site around the edge of the loop. I loved the view. The pull through sites in the middle were super close together that left little room for slide outs and entry/exit from the trailers unless you were in the end. Each site has a pavilion and fire ring. They don’t allow tents on the grass, but a handful had a tent pad so make sure you check the site listing to determine if it will allow a tent. We had water hookups and access to 20/30/50 electricity. No sewer available in the site, but they do have a dump station. The campsite had a shower building and vault toilet locations around the loop. There were even 3-4 cabins that you could rent (they looked similar to those at a KOA I have seen before). We enjoyed our stay and the temperature was great. Could use more trees. The back in drive way was 60 ft in length.

Nice large spaces

There are two RV areas; one is Beach area, the other is Mountain View area. We stayed in the Mountain View area. The spaces are large, level, and easy to get into. I think they all have electricity and water. They are paved, as are the roadways. There are picnic tables and fire pits at each site. Some tables have shade over them. They have planted trees that are starting to get large. There is a dump station that’s easy to access. There is nice grass planted at some sites; however, due to the drought, they have sadly let the grass die. This is very sad but with the water so low in the reservoirs it’s hard to justify watering the grass. You can reserve spaces but we were able to get a nice space as a walk-up. My husband used the restrooms and said they were fine. They also have showers.

Awesome campground!

This is my favorite campground with a beautiful lake!

This is it!

If you go rent the lower beach area they all come with a gazebo, grill/firepit, water spout, electricity for every or regular connector.

Parking spot for your rv or up to 3 cars.

There are public bathrooms that are really clean, showers that you don’t have to pay anything for.

There are also garbage cans so you don’t have to drive up with your garbage which is awesome!

The water is cold even mid summer - it is extremely windy as well so make sure your tents etc are tight and secured so they do not fly away.

There is a Burger King, subway, gas stations and grocery store so if you forgot something you can get it.

Several lakeside Campgrounds

Mountain View Campground is above the lake, but a path leads down to the boat ramp and beach. Some bring boats and go fishing for brown trout, walleye, bass and yellow perch. There is a paved path for kayak or paddle board put in.

This and the adjacent Beach Campground have dozens of sites, most with water and electric hookups, shaded picnic tables and lovely lawns. Tenting however is relegated to gravel strips with the signage: No Tents on Lawn.

Restrooms include individual toilet/shower stalls as well as pit toilets.

In mid May there are no staff or hosts readily available, so Iron Rangers (metal posts) take your money. (Have cash or a check with you.) Fees are very reasonable and the views from the Mountain View back-in sites just above the lake are pretty darn nice. I painted a picture that includes the high Uinta Peaks as well as sandstone tablelands, the lake, the junipers, the sky... it doesn’t get much nicer.
