Lakeside (TX)

Within Hords Creek Recreation Area, this Army Corps of Engineers campground sits on open terrain dotted with trees across multiple loops. Sites accommodate RVs up to 100 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections. The layout resembles a large field with individual sites featuring several trees for shade, though restroom facilities require a walk from some locations. Access roads can be rough, and campers report well-spaced, level sites that stay clean and quiet. The area provides lake access for fishing, kayaking, and swimming, with a dump station and pavilion rental available. Those exploring the region can find campgrounds around Bangs for additional options. The campground works well for RV campers seeking full hookups near lake recreation.

Quite campground with awesome views of the stars and nature

I was the only person camping on the small loop where my site was. The campground itself is something of a a large field. The sites them selves have several trees. The site was flat and clean. The starts were awesome.  The shower/ toilets were a bit of  hike but they were very clean.

Outstanding

Me and two other trailers camped at this outstanding hidden gem of a campground. We hosted a large fish fry so we rented a pavilion which was complete with running water, sink, microwave, electricity and a large fireplace. The pavilion came with several RV sites on the parking lot but I walked all over the campground and it was meticulously groomed.
