    Colonia Del Rey RV Park

    Convenient location!

Colonia Del Ray is a nice little park, nothing to fancy. We usually stay here when visiting family that lives in Flower Bluff. It is a very convenient location, about five minutes from an HEB and within thirty minutes of most of the Corpus Christi attractions. They have a lot of rental spots for such a small park, so there is not much room between you and your neighbors. If you going for a fun trip at the beach you wouldn’t be spending much time at your RV anyway.

The rate is forty bucks a night for an RV with free wi-fi and cable. The facilities are clean, but don’t expect much scenery. There are not many trees, but at least you can see the ocean. There are coin laundry machines, pool, playground, and a mini gated dog area. I believe they have rental cabins on one side of the park. It seems like locals use this park to post up their boats and RVs as well. You can make reservations online, and the owners of the place are very kind.

Flower Bluff is a great town with wonderful people. Make sure you check out some of the locally eateries. About two blocks from the park is a seafood restaurant located on the water with a huge deck. They have excellent food and it is in walking distance which is a plus! Also if you have kids take them to the U.S.S Lexington! It is so awesome and hands-on with airplanes on the top deck!

    Rockport RV Resort

    Perfect Little Spot

Came across this place while camping at Goose Island State Park in Rockport. Julie is the owner and she is super nice and accommodating. Amenities are endless: laundry, shower, pool, electric hookup, full kitchen, fridge, hot tub, TV and lounge area and lots of shade. Lots of RV spots and a few places to set up tents. Usual rate is 25$ for RVs but Julie was so nice and allowed me to set up a tent and use the park for 15$ for the night. Highly recommend coming here and camping. Located right near town and 5 minutes from the water.

    Lagoons RV Resort

    Nice but outdated

We stayed the month of January. It is 55 and older park during the winter months. All concrete roads and sites. The sites are level and very close to each other. We could not put our awning out all the way. Very friendly staff. The only WiFi is at the clubhouse and is slow! You can wash your vehicle and camper at the site for $5-$10. Laundry room has several washers and dryers. Propane is available at the office. Our site was across from the Park Models where two different owners “yelled” at us when our dachshund walked on their small grass area!!!!!!! We will be somewhere different next winter. We love Rockport, Texas. Lots to do.

    Firefly Coastal Bend- Corpus Christi

The people at Firefly are CROOKS!

Good day- My name is John and my wife and I live in Dana, North Carolina... Just south of Asheville. Back in May, I had booked two(2) RV spots(one for us and one for dear friends coming in from California). I booked for a week, running from 5- 12 October, at a total(pre-paid) cost of$1,433. However, on Friday, 27 September(8 days before our trip), our region experienced Hurricane Helene. One hundred and twenty feet of our driveway was wiped out- totally washed away. The main road to our home was also washed away. Roads in and out of the area were destroyed and there were thousands of downed trees and power poles. The destruction was and remains hard to convey. We lost power and all communications for 13 days. We had no way in or out of our property for over a week. On Monday, 30 September, I was able to hike out to our local post office where I found I had one bar on my phone. I called family and friends, including the other couple that we were supposed to meet At the Firefly RV Resort. I explained the situation to them and asked them to call Firefly, cancel the reservation and,(given the circumstances) ask for a refund. The staff at Firefly were beyond rude and refused any consideration of a refund. When pressed on the matter by our friends, and stressing the dire conditions that all of North Carolina was facing, the Manager at Firefly told our friends the following-- and this is a direct quote:"Well, if the government would stop sending money to Ukraine, maybe they would have money to give to North Carolina." Enough said. I would strongly ask all conscientious RV-ers to BOYCOTT the Firefly RV Resort.

    Bay View RV Resort

    Affordable Coastal Bend

Bay View is at the northern end of the peninsula where Rockport-Fulton is. It's a little out of the way, but still within an easy drive of Port Aransas, Corpus Christi and all of the barrier islands. Granted, the park is shabby-chic, and a little short on chic. It does have 1 functional laundry house, 1 functional pool and a large community center. The sites are large and tree-shaded, the sites are widely spread apart. The monthly site rate is SO much less than anywhere in Port A! Give it a try!

Good luck getting your deposit back!

Been trying for two months to get my deposit refunded. When I call they just give me the run a round. Campground was ok. Hot tub only worked two weeks of the two months I was there.

I will visit again but not to stay. Just to get my deposit back. I paid it on time but they aren't responding in kind. There are many other places in this area. I suggest you stay at one that takes credit cards and fies business in this century.

Guide to Fulton

Cabin accommodations near Fulton, Texas provide access to coastal activities along the Gulf shoreline. Winter temperatures typically range from 40-70°F, while summer months regularly exceed 90°F with high humidity. The area's flat terrain sits at near sea level elevation with limited natural shade except in established RV resorts featuring mature live oak trees.

What to do

Fishing access: At Copano Bay RV Resort, guests can fish directly from the property's dock. As one visitor noted, "They have a fishing dock off the campground. A pool. And a dog park." The resort provides convenient water access without needing to transport gear.

Beach activities: Pioneer Beach Resort offers a dedicated boardwalk for direct beach access. "Best part is the boardwalk to the beach where you can drive over with your golf cart and get to the town via the beach access roads," shares a camper. The resort's location lets cabin guests reach the sand without driving to public access points.

Wildlife watching: Bay View RV Resort attracts nature enthusiasts interested in coastal birding. "Absolutely love the wildlife and birding. This place is very rustic and natural as possible," reports a long-term resident who hosts the Hummingbird Celebration during the second week of September, when migration numbers peak.

What campers like

Community events: The Rockport RV Resort by Rjourney facilities include a large clubhouse for organized activities. One resident mentioned, "Once the old Manager was fired, you could see the changes. The place is lighter, cleaner, more organized and less strangling than when the old manager was here." The resort hosts regular social gatherings for seasonal visitors.

Clean facilities: Ancient Oaks RV Park maintains well-kept common areas and amenities. "The office staff is very nice and accommodating. Full service with 30/50 amp sites, has Live Oak trees and shade," reports a satisfied guest. The park's concrete sites provide level surfaces for cabin and RV setups.

Swimming options: Palm Harbor RV Park's waterfront location offers both swimming and fishing opportunities. "Quaint, quiet and clean. Right on the water. Quick access to Port Aransas and Rockport," notes a visitor. The resort's position provides easy water access without crowds.

What you should know

Deposit policies: Bay View RV Resort has received mixed reviews regarding deposit refunds. One customer reported: "Been trying for two months to get my deposit refunded. When I call they just give me the run around." Consider using credit cards for any deposits when reserving cabin accommodations.

Management changes: Several properties have undergone ownership or management transitions. A Rockport RV Resort patron observed: "We had to stay here for an emergency with our suspension. We didn't know how long but staff was great to work with. HOWEVER- the company that had just purchased the park was crooked and overpriced."

Seasonal restrictions: Some resorts modify their policies during winter months. The Lagoons RV Resort implements age restrictions during peak season: "This is a great camp, the worst part of this site is wifi is in the clubhouse. The camp is open year-round, however, from November it is 55 and older."

Tips for camping with families

Space considerations: Pioneer Beach Resort offers dedicated sites for groups traveling together. "We always book the buddy site that is pull-through and has our campers facing each other with a common space outside our front doors. This also helps with shade when we put out our awnings."

Pet policies: While most cabin accommodations accept pets, restrictions vary by property. Rules about number of pets, breed restrictions, and leash requirements differ. One Rockport visitor noted: "Within an hour of our arrival, we were informed that RJourney had a 2 dog limit. I advised Becky, the interim manager, that I advised reservation desk last June that we have 4 pups."

Internet access: Limited connectivity affects many cabin rental properties. As one Lagoons RV Resort visitor explained: "The only WiFi is at the clubhouse and is slow!" Consider bringing mobile hotspots or downloading entertainment before arrival, especially when traveling with children who expect connectivity.

Tips from RVers

Site spacing: Cabin proximity varies significantly between properties. Lagoons RV Resort sites have limited separation according to one visitor: "The sites are level and very close to each other. We could not put our awning out all the way." Check site dimensions before booking.

Road conditions: Inspect interior roads when considering longer-term cabin rentals. A visitor reported: "The roads in the park are in terrible shape. Tons of huge cracks and potholes. Very poor lighting on parks roads at night. Huge risks of trips and falls for older folks."

Kitchen supplies: Cabin guests should confirm available cooking equipment. Many properties require visitors to bring their own cooking supplies, eating utensils, and food storage containers. Nearby grocery stores in Rockport provide supplies, but initial meal planning should account for potential equipment limitations.
