Minors (under 17) who are not camping with a sponsored group must provide a written consent form to stay overnight. No hammocks allowed in primitive camping areas.

I tent camped for several days here. The staff are helpful, bathrooms are super clean with soap, decent water pressure and everything is so well kept. I was thoroughly impressed and will be back to try the other sites. I stayed at turtle falls. It was so peaceful listening to the water all night.
No shade...none. Right next to busy highway so lots of traffic noise. To get to see river you need to go through high weeds.

This resort is perfect for families, with plenty of space, clean facilities, and a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights was the fantastic on-site restaurant and bar, where we enjoyed delicious meals and drinks. The barrel room was a unique touch, giving us a fun, upscale experience right on the property. The resort is spotless, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the grounds and facilities. Fredericksburg itself offers endless activities, from visiting local wineries to exploring the charming shops downtown. This is a great campsite I have ever experienced. I came here for a vacation and played smash karts, it was a lot of fun. I recommend you try this game, it will give you the feeling of excitement and top racing.
Shaffer Bend Recreation Area is a great destination for nature lovers, close to Lake Travis and great outdoor activities. Relaxing on the beach or enjoying the sunrise from the 15th location is an experience not to be missed. Don't forget to de-stress with a io games after a day of exploring!
Hidden Falls Adventure Park is a great destination for those who love challenges and exploration. Just like in the Slope Game where you have to control the character to overcome obstacles and achieve high scores, this park is also full of exciting challenges such as climbing, ziplining and hiking.

Camped here in a tent for 5 days last spring with my best friend. Very friendly staff, awesome showers and bathrooms, lots of birding and wildlife viewing opportunities. Saw my first tarantula and painting buntings here. Overall cozy vibe, Would 100% camp here again if I was back in Texas. Nestled in the woods beyond Lampasas, it’s not a bad drive back into town if you’re wanting to treat yourself to a meal out. Has an awesome General Store right outside the campgrounds, where you can purchase forgotten items and grab a bite to eat at their little restaurant. Everyone in the area is super friendly and helpful. The General Store people had a potbelly pig they let us feed snacks to when we were there.

I had the most amazing time! The Lake is beautiful and the camp grounds are right on the water. Restrooms and showers are clean and close too! Spread out enough to where you aren’t on top of your neighbors, I will definitely be back!
This place is BRAND NEW and has all the bells and whistles.
Loved the modern pool and pickle ball courts they had available. Something about waking up and seeing soo many deer walk around the resort was the highlight of my stay. We were even able to rent a golf cart and explore the 250-acres of nature.
Stayed on the 'hill side' and really enjoyed the park. Most sites you pull in paralllel to the road which is nice. Had deer through our site every day. Really good hiking but some of the trails were closed due to race events. Close to town and not too far of a drive to Fredericksburg and went to the Nat'l Pacific War Museum and that was well worth the drive. Here in October so park was about 1/8 full if even that.
Our RV GPS took us right to the park where you check in at their headquarters building. Check in was quick and we proceeded to pull through site 9 with FHUs. Site 9 is only a pull though if site 8 is not occupied. The sites in this area are set up on both sides of the road with you parking in a line, parallel style. There are white lines painted on the road to designate where the sites begin and end. Once unhitched, we were able to park our F450 adjacent to our 5th wheel. The park has cable TV with lots of channels. We got 4 bars on Verizon. The utilities are towards the back of the site, and we needed 15’ for sewer, 20’ for water, and 20’ for electric. The water pressure was good at about 50 psi. We had a clear shot to the north sky for Starlink. A south sky satellite shot may be iffy due to the mature trees in that direction. The WiFi was okay for a CG this size. Site 9 is near the playground and one of the two shower/restroom facilities. The sites in this campground (CG) are for the most part close together, especially in the front area near the entrance. There’s a large fenced dog park along with plenty of areas to walk your dog. With the county airport adjacent to the CG, we enjoyed watching the wide variety of small aircraft. We enjoyed playing a round of golf at the course adjacent to the CG and touring the local wineries.

What truly set this campground apart was the genuine care and attention to detail. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was unforgettable, offering helpful tips on local attractions and creating a welcoming atmosphere that felt like home. Not to mention the steers! They are amazing creatures with lots of personality!

This beautiful RV park in Texas Hill country was booked years in advance for the eclipse. But on our suggestion the very accommodating proprietors opened up a pasture in back to dry camping. The facilities are comfortable and clean. Worked out well.
We towed with an electric vehicle, on the last day they let us move to an empty site with hookups and charge from the 50 amp outlet, which opened up a better route home.
Fantastic location for Hill Country! Primarily big rigs and folks wanting full hookups, not many folks hanging outside-either in their vehicle or away exploring. Lots of grass, not much shade/plants and zero wildflowers despite height of season. Bathrooms not very clean, especially moldy shower grout. Many county workers buzzing around early morning but all prepping for eclipse, not cleaning.
The tent sites are huge and spread apart. Picnic tables and fire rings at each site. Flush toilets and showers. A highway run through the camp so there is some noise from that, mainly during the day. Town is 2 miles away.
Stayed in mid March, site 62. Nice site with lots of tree cover. Only downside was the multiple squirrels that drove our dogs nuts. Hiking trails are very well maintained, and there’s plenty variety in difficulty level / length. We’ve never seen so many wildflowers, especially bluebonnets. The display was stunning. Facilities at the park were very clean, and it really has everything that you need.
Lots of high reviews for this park. I thought the hiking was okay. The campground layout for the RV area is not nicely laid out in my opinion. See my pics. The group and many tent areas are exceptional. The bathrooms are okay. Volunteer friendliness is much better than the staff for my experience here.
