Best RV Parks & Resorts near Lexington, TN

Several RV parks surround Lexington, Tennessee, providing convenient options for motorhome travelers. Southern Comfort RV Park and Campground offers full hookups with both 30 and 50 amp electrical service across its 8 sites, along with a sanitary dump station and water connections. Just 20 miles west in Yuma, Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground features 48 big-rig friendly sites with concrete pads, full hookups, and both 30/50 amp service. "Their office is decorated in a really cool 50s diner fashion and makes you want to order a shake and some fries. Just a great spot," noted one reviewer about Parkers Crossroads. Double Islands RV Retreat and The Veranda RV Resort, both located south of Lexington, provide additional full hookup options with the latter offering just 7 sites for a more intimate camping experience.

Seasonal considerations affect RV camping availability in the region. While some parks like Whispering Pines RV Park in Jackson operate year-round, others have limited seasonal openings. Cell service varies significantly between locations, with Parkers Crossroads offering strong WiFi that supports video streaming. Most RV sites in the area accommodate pets with designated walking areas, though leash requirements are standard. Propane is available on-site at select locations like Parkers Crossroads. Navigation to some parks requires careful planning, as one traveler noted about site selection: "We had to maneuver several times so we could get straight on the site and get our sewer lined up." Dump stations are present at most parks, though Jackson RV Park notably lacks this amenity despite offering sewer hookups at individual sites.

Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground

    One of the best

Like most if our reviews...I cannot comment on showers, bathrooms, etc. We have an RV for that. They do have a clean accessible laundry room that is nice. That being said...do yourself a favor and just stop here. This place a great find and one if the best we've stayed at. It's clean, plenty of space, great pond with ducks and geese, and the hosts are second to none...seriously the best. We stayed at a pull through, concrete pad site that was perfectly level. Their office is decorated in a really cool 50s diner fashion and makes you want to order a shake and some fries. Just a great spot. Given the time...I could see this being a long term spot for us.

Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground

    RV Park and RV Repair!

Parker’s Crossroads is located very conveniently off of I-40 and the park is gorgeous! They have some long term campers, storage, and an RV Repair Center on site. The shop inside has more parts then we have ever seen at an RV Park. While here we needed a switch for a water heater, they had it!

The campground had some narrow roads and some less than level sites but they were all doable. They have a nice pool area, spaces for dogs to be walked (on leash), pet waste disposal, cabins, and full hook ups.

The park was very quiet and clean, well kept. They have large mature trees, and great landscaping.

The cellular service for TMobile and AT&T we’re both decent and streaming video was possible each night.

Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground

    Not What We Were Expecting

We found this highly rated campground (CG) while looking for a different route back to our home base and wanted to check it out. We followed our RV GPS north on TN-22 to the CG, which is about a mile and a half past I-40. We checked in and was then escorted to pull through site 12 with FHUs. It is a narrow road and a 90 degree turn into the site. Because of the slight incline on the side of the site, you can't really go wide. We had to maneuver several times so we could get straight on the site and get our sewer lined up. We also had to make sure our steps could come out on the small deck. We would have positioned again so we didn’t have to get out 25’ of sewer hose to dump our back tank, but there’s a ditch in front of the site that would prevent an easy back in to hitch back up. We soon found out the site is not level and had to put leveling blocks under our door side wheels as they were off the ground after auto level. Disclaimer here as not all sites in this CG are the same and some are quite nice with room between them. We were here for two days and placed in the row where they place shorter rigs for overnighters. The sites are cut into a hill and are very close together. These sites have a small deck with most having a patio table and two chairs. Site 12 has a picnic table, which in our opinion was to too large for the space. There is also a several foot drop off that if you are not very careful could cause harm(not safe). The site was not long enough for our 40’ 5th wheel plus F450 and we were instructed to park across the road. There’s a fire pit in these very narrow sites. The truck parked in the site next to us was too close to safely enjoy a fire in the tiny sliver of lawn with the fire pit. During our briefing after being escorted to our site, we were told to use a reducer as their water pressure is high. They claim to have good internet and the speed test and usage confirms the internet here is good. We were able to get a clear shot north for Starlink. The CG does have mature trees in and around some of the sites. They have cable but we didn’t use it. We got 4 bars on Verizon. As we and others were setting up, the staff rides around in golf carts and stops by to check on you. While a nice touch, commenting“you look perplexed” and nothing more as I was finishing putting out 25’ of sewer hose was not helpful nor necessary. There are nice amenities here to include the big pond area. There are four washers($2.75) and four dryers($.25 for 10 minutes and$1.00 got our load dry). There is one additional dryer for dog bedding only. As we were here for a couple of days, we wish we had a better site versus site 12 that other reviewers had mentioned had issues. When we asked how we could get into one of the sites in the 29- 35 area, which had plenty of open sites during our stay, we were told those were for big rigs 40' and over. We reminded them we were a 40' rig. Had we been placed in the 30s area, our review may have been better.

    Green Acres RV Park

    Best RV park in Savannah,TN

This campground is well maintained. The grounds are Meticulously maintained, the staff will do everything possible to make your stay as pleasant as possible. There is a beautiful pool open seasonally, all sites will accommodate large Rigs, with full power (20amp, 30amp, 50amp) service. Sewerage and fresh water. There is strong WiFi and basic cable is included. I’ve camped here a few times now and couldn’t be more happier. This is a pet friendly park, ( Fido, just need to be on a leash and picked up after.) There are showers, bathrooms and 24/7 laundry facilities. So come as strangers, leave as friends.

    All sites are excellent....

Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground

    Great place to stay

Nice campground, WiFi included. Quiet enough. Stayed in campsite 4, small but fine for our pop up.

Bathhouses were not fancy but cleaner than most, we were impressed.

Campground owners/managers were extremely helpful and polite, helped us get our camper set up as this was our first stay in a new camper.

    Highly recommended.

    Jackson RV Park

    Needs Assistance

    Fees:  Daily:  $40.00  Weekly $150.00  Monthly  $450.00

    Electric 30 - 50 amp

This is the only RV park in Jackson, Tennessee.  It is right off I 40 and it runs along side the interstate which will make it rather noisy with all the truck traffic.  This is a well established permanent mobile home park.  The RV's that are not long term are parked at the front of the park.  When you pull into the park you will need to drive through the park and back up the other lane and the sites are all pull thru.  There are full hook ups but I would make this a one night stand for me unless you need to live and work in the area.  Park needs some clean up and maintenance.  The RV's are sitting on top of each other.
