Rapid City RV Park & Campground

Sites are graded but location is on a hill making getting around a pain. The weather was very, very hot when we were there and there wasn't any shade at our spot. Decent experience overall.

Great location with an awesome view! The spots were pretty level; bathrooms were clean; great laundry facility and the arcade room was nice to have! The roads in the park are kind of washed out and pretty steep but it was a great stop overall!

I stayed here with my mother, sister, her fiancé and three kids. We had three dogs with and the dog park area was great. It is down some stairs so it is not accessible for some but the views of the city at night and the forest during the day were great. The staff was very friendly and helpful during my stay. I enjoyed it so much after a day of site seeing I came back and stayed for an extra unanticipated night. Only thing was the sites are a little small but even I had no issue parking my 33’6” motorhome and I had only stayed at two other locations prior to this visit.

We got in very late at night but, luckily we had a pull through site. The staff were so helpful and understanding but, pretty basic campground. There wasn’t a lot of privacy between the sites but, there weren’t a lot of people and we only stayed one night. It’s a bit of an older campground but, had a great overlook of the city which was close by and roads were easy to get to site on the hill.

This was a great overnight stop for us while on our road trip. The owners were super friendly and accommodating.

RV full hook up was convenient and easy to access. Sites were level and easy to pull through. Sites are a little close to each other but there weren’t many other RV’s when we stayed so we had lots of space. Easy to find location as well.

Would stay again.

The staff was amazing. Kind and helpful. Very outgoing and able to offer suggestions and advice on the area. Though some may not see it as a perk, being right off the highway allowed us quick access to everywhere we needed to go every morning and was a reason we chose it. Less than an hour from most must-sees in the area. Close to some nice local restaurants and a Walmart to restock supplies. (Also, they do have a small selection of supplies in their office to purchase). A pool and playground for the kids to relax when the vacationing takes a toll and you need a day off. Coin laundry and nice bath facilities. The view of the city in the morning over the hill or the lights at night was really beautiful from our tent site. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

This RV park is tight spaces and located on the side of a hill. Each site is fairly level but real close together. The shower are old and not been updated. It was cold out side and the shower room was cool not warm enough to be getting wet and drying off in. The shower stalls are small and curtains are short so the dressing room floor got wet so could get dress without getting cloths wet.

It was $35 for a tent site. The bathrooms were clean but did have a lot of moths at night. The campsite had lots of kids and families. The staff was very kind and found us a fire pit when we asked! It’s off a highway but the site is around woods so it’s peaceful.

Very friendly staff. Super open spots but not bad if you’re traveling through. Fort Hays just next door for a super awesome breakfast and tourist location
