Homestead Campground

Train enthusiasts will find convenient rail access to Philadelphia from this year-round campground in Green Lane, where owners maintain a mix of short-term camping sites and long-term residential spots. The property features a large playground that draws families, though campers should note the facility operates with only two designated camping sites among numerous permanent residents.

The campground provides full hookups for RVs up to 21 feet, along with basic amenities including restrooms, showers, and WiFi. However, infrastructure issues occasionally surface. Ali P. noted "Dump station has no water" during their visit. The condition of RV sites varies significantly by location, with areas farther from the entrance showing more wear.

Pet owners should be prepared for loose leash policies among some residents, as dogs frequently wander through camping areas. The campground sits close enough to town for supply runs yet maintains distance from urban noise. Nearby Boulder Ridge Farm offers an alternative less than a mile away.

Reserve ahead to secure one of the limited transient sites, particularly during peak seasons when the playground and train access draw more visitors.

Many visitors appreciated the quiet atmosphere and friendly owners, making it suitable for those seeking peace. However, facility maintenance emerged as a major concern with poor bathroom and amenity conditions noted by multiple guests.

Here for a week

Beautiful park. Looks like only 2 of the spots are for campers, rest are full time residents. The farther back you go in the park the worse condition the rv are. At time of visit the closest bathroom was under repair, it happens. Aggravating issues: Dump station has no water. People walk their dogs right thru your camp site and then don’t pick up after them.

But yea, beautiful place

Good stop to visit Philly

We stayed here a week in October. The owners are nice and we found the campground to be quite and a good place to hop on a train and ride into Philly. We camped right by the large/nice playground that my kids enjoyed. It’s not far from town, but far enough to drown out the noise of the city.

Not awesome, not terrible

I've stayed at much cleaner places, it's a bit run down, but it's quiet and is you keep to yourself you'll be fine. We RV camp so we didn't use the restrooms

Filthy

Owner is a real gem, bathrooms are disgusting, pool is gross, neighbors are weirdos.
