Best Campgrounds near Reedsport, OR

Only little pull offs that I found. Drove pretty deep into the forest and found a dead end spur. When back tracking the next morning I saw a few other campers camping close to where your gps will take you. This was a week day. Probably busier on the weekend.

This campsite was everything we needed. We loaded in at night time so it was lovely waking up and being able to see the ocean right along the campsite.

I'm camping in an EV and was glad to find this spot with 50 amp hookup, which was more power than I needed to fully charge my car while I slept.

Site was very private. Campground was quiet. Host was friendly and helpful. Bathroom was clean. Nice short hike that went under Highway 101.

We showed up without a reservation in mid March on a Friday and did not have a problem getting a spot. It was very windy and rainy so that probably worked to our advantage. Volunteer Martha was super friendly and helpful in suggesting the best spot available. The grounds were meticulously maintained and the design of the park was exceptional…lots of trees and greenery that provides privacy for each site. It didn’t feel like you were crowded in the least. The park sits up on a bluff overlooking the ocean but most sites are tucked into the tree that provided us with shelter from the wind. A short 10minute walk down the paved street brings you to the water’s edge and there are trails you can walk through with your pooches.

For $40, you get full hookup, great location and a well cared for place to relax.

My visit near Fawn Creek Campground in Oregon was a refreshing experience, surrounded by dense forests and rolling hills. The campground offers a quiet retreat with well-maintained facilities, making it a great spot for nature lovers. With temperatures ranging from 30°F in winter to 80°F in summer, it’s a beautiful destination year-round. Nearby attractions like Siuslaw National Forest and the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area provide plenty of opportunities for hiking and exploration. For families with kids, keeping them entertained is easy whether it’s exploring the outdoors or enjoying Toca Boca games, a fun and creative way for kids to play and imagine. Overall, this area is a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, making it a great choice for a weekend getaway!

We stayed 5 nights and had a great time. Campground was clean and so were the restrooms. Lots of campground hosts if you have a problem but otherwise they leave you alone.

I had such a nice time at this campground. We went in the off season (in the winter) so the campground didn’t have many people staying- most being in RVs and us in a yurt. I have a toddler and it ended up being so helpful with the weather being a bit rainy and getting some creature comforts while still enjoying nature.

The yurt comes with a bunk bed (top a twin and bottom maybe a full size), pull out couch, small table with 2 chairs and a heater. Our location was conveniently located near the bathroom which made for night bathroom visits easier. The bathroom is also very clean with multiple stalls and showers (push button but not coin operated).

The campground had a playground for kids, a small free library and ranger station with a couple of souvenirs of the area. The campground offers firewood to buy and extra ice.

The campground is located near the dunes, not far from the city with grocery stores if you forget something, it’s not a far drive from Seal Rock, and the lighthouse.

Overall we loved it. Wish I had an extra booked night to really get the most of the location

Stayed here last night in free space next to Regular RV park but right on the Water and even had a picnic table with grassy area. Away from the traffic very quiet. And a short walk over to Casino.

We loved staying here! Beautiful beach that is lovely at sunset and sunrise. Helpful and friendly hosts. Sites fairly close but didnt feel bothered by it.

Horse Creek is a great site for horse camping. Only two sites are for non-stock campers. The camp has no water or any hook ups but the corrals are pretty good except they can get muddy if manure is not carefully picked out. 

The horse water trough is a short walk away from camp but does not have potable water. If users are not careful it can drain or not be usable so bring horse water. 

The trails are wonderful!! But hilly so make sure your horse is fit or you are willing to take it easy. Many of the original overlooks are starting to be grown in but the forest is amazing!

Staying in one of the furnished cabins. Great RV and Airstream trailer sites as well. Full hookups. Marginal WiFi available. Use my phone most of the time because poor WiFi. Cabins are fairly new but mine had some needed repairs already

This was a gem that I wish we had an extra night to stay at. Spot 62 had a secret access to the beach that looks to be one of two away from the general access. Water and electricity hookups with grey water dumps throughout park. Restrooms and showers were available and the camp host has firewood for sale between 5-7pm. Peaceful morning walk on the beach.

After going right over bridge at 8 miles, you have to turn right over a narrow bridge 2-3 miles further. Sign was missing!!! Looked like beautiful site with several camp spots and vault toilet but all was closed on Oct 1, 2024 visit. So dissapoonting

The main draw of this campground is its proximity to the cute town of Florence. We don't tow a car, so being able to camp within walking distance of shops and restaurants is always a treat.

This campground used to have boondock / dry camp spots for a lower cost, but now all sites are FHU.  The sites are packed pretty close together, and wouldn't be pleasant for an extended stay, but for a night or two it's find.  There's a lot of activity with the fishing boats which is fun to watch.

There's a dump station for a fee for non-campers, laundry, showers, a book exchange in the office, trash dumpsters and recycling.

We loved this campground. Hiking and fishing at lake 50 yards away, near the light house, Off Highway vehicle park, beaches, super clean, warm showers, and good size spaces.
