Staff at the marina are very helpful. There is a snack shop and a full restaurant at the marina with great food," notes Susan S.
Trail exploration: Short walking paths. The Rivers Edge Camping Area provides access to the Towpath Trail with connections to several local attractions. "Great access close to parking lot with privacy between you and the trail. Right alongside the river with a picnic table and firepit," writes Whiskey B.
Disc golf and geocaching: Equipment rental available. West Branch State Park Campground offers multiple outdoor activities beyond standard camping. "We set off to explore the park. It had some really nice hiking trails. We also played some disc golf and went geocaching," explains Andrea F.

"SPOTLESS bathrooms and I mean SPOTLESS," reports Tara T., while another reviewer adds, "Showers & restrooms were super clean & nice! Laundry building was great also! Grounds were well kept."
Indoor swimming: Year-round access. Unlike seasonal outdoor pools, some locations offer indoor swimming regardless of weather. "We camped here the second weekend in December and had the park mostly to ourselves. The game room was nice as well as the indoor pool," shares Andrea F. about Evergreen Park.

Fire sold here, small bundles for $8. Gets expensive for longer stays. During the week is a ghost town 👏 this time of year."

Water activities: Supervised swimming areas. Clay's Resort Jellystone Park offers extensive water recreation. "The lake was virtually algae free, and even during this pandemic, it didn't feel over crowded at any point. My kids really enjoyed the entire time and were wore out!" shares Chuck E.
Playground access: Multiple age-appropriate options. Family-friendly campgrounds often have designated play areas. "Playground was a hit for our 8yr and under kids. Staff had crafts and pumpkin decorating for kids also and were helpful and friendly," notes Joe F. about Countryside Campground.
Off-site attractions: Under 15-minute drives. The region offers numerous family activities beyond camping. "Only 12 minute drive over to Pro Football Hall of Fame," mentions Whiskey B. about the Rivers Edge location's proximity to Canton attractions.

Site selection: Check for levelness. RV campers emphasize the importance of level pads. "First time at this park I can see why it's always booked up. It seems like the sites are good sized but some are on slopes even the pads so make sure to bring stuff to level," advises Joe I. about West Branch State Park.
Hookup options: Full-service sites available. Many campgrounds offer comprehensive RV amenities. "We spent a long weekend in a pull thru site... Each site comes with a fire ring and picnic table both in good condition. The pull thru sites were a tad small but nice and long," explains Kathryn P. about Countryside Campground.
Access considerations: Overhead clearance. Some sites may require adjustments for larger rigs. "Needed to trim some overhead branches and they came right over to take care of it. Outstanding welcome," reports Tara T. about Berlin RV Park's responsive staff.
