Spring Valley Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Sitting just off the interstate outside Cambridge, Spring Valley Campground draws a mix of road-trippers looking for an overnight stop and long-term visitors who return season after season for area events and antiquing. The terrain is open, with sites arranged close together, and the campground sits near a small lake. Access is straightforward from the highway, making it a practical base in eastern Ohio.

Full hookups are available, including electric, water, and sewer connections, and the campground accommodates RVs up to 100 feet with wide pull-through sites. WiFi is on-site and reviewers rate it as decent. One thing to plan around: the store, pool, and laundry all close at 6 p.m. The internal roads have drawn repeated complaints about large potholes and a rough surface, so low-clearance vehicles may want to take it slow. Sites run close to one another, and sewer hose placement can overlap into neighboring spots on full-hookup sites.

The lake is accessible but no longer swimmable, with vegetation growth and aging docks noted by recent visitors. For campers passing through on a longer route, Julie F. summed up a one-night stay simply: "just what we needed." Nearby options include Georgetown Vineyards Dogwood Campsite and Georgetown Vineyards Campsites for a different setting. Spring Valley is open year-round, pets are welcome, and nightly rates run $32 to $38.

Needs some TLC

This campground used to be amazing. Now it is only so so. Roads are in desperate need of a load of gravel at the least, replaced at the most. Sites are vet close, like we felt bad hooking into all of our full hook up because the sewer hose was right in the middle of the next campsite. The girl at check in was very helpful. But note everything shuts down at 6. Store, pool, laundry room…everything. The lake is ok at best. Back in the day you could swim in it, now it is full of growth and the docks are falling apart. It is like the owners do not care if they update or not. Four showers in the shower house and 2 didn’t have curtains. Walmart is literally 5 min down the road. Buy some curtains. Would more than likely not come back to this one

Family oriented campground. Fairly large sites with full hookups. Good mix of seasonal and overnight. Friendly staff. Roads in the campground are very rough with large potholes. Decent WiFi. Easy on and off from the interstate.

Always enjoy our stay

We have been staying here for 25 years and is always a delight. We usually stay about a week to attend conventions or go antiquing. Wish they still had cable. Nice wide pull thrus.
