TravelerWe could not have asked for a better experience at Back40! What a beautifully maintained, family oriented campground. Even on a busy Father’s Day weekend, it was still quiet with plenty of space between us and our neighbors. All seasonal. All the seasonal campers we encountered were so kind and helpful. The owners are fantastic! Plenty of activities right on property including fishing with awesomely stocked ponds, a great playground, huge open field for baseball, soccer or anything activity you can dream up and a lodge with activities including pool, foosball and crafts. For Fathers Day weekend they even set up a huge slip n slide down a hill with foam everywhere!! It was a BLAST! Our favorite thing was the layout of this campground. Each site has site PLENTY of space between you and your neighbor and backs up to beautiful woods. Picnic table and fire ring included along with a concrete patio. Cannot say enough good things about this campground, highly recommended!! We will be back!

ScoutThis place is one of the worst camp place I’ve ever stayed at. I paid $60 for the night loud noise from the highway. Showers didn’t even have hot water. They only had two showers out of the whole place. Nothing to do here people running the place are extremely rude. They really don’t want to hear. I guess that’s why they charge over the price of a normal campsites I have been to campsites that are free. They are beautiful compared to this place is just a big garbage can I wouldn’t waste my time and my money to ever come to a place like this
GuideThis is definitely a campground for families and for those who want lots of company in there experience. There are no wooded areas in the campground so all spaces are open to all the other camper. Some shaded areas but mostly open land. Lots of activities for kids and families and even movies and music on the weekend.full power both 30 and 50 amp at almost all site and strong wifi where I was.lots of things going on up until about 10 pm. Then it quiets down. Nice place for families who want outdoor activities.

LegendIf you are retired or active duty military, you have access to recreation sites maintained adjacent to many bases. Wright-Patterson has a recreational family-friendly “Fam Camp” campground located by a small lake in the woods on the south side if the base. Families or adults can enjoy staying at the campground for a few days of camping, fishing, paddling and as a base for exploring in and around Dayton. There are many sites with hookups for RV’s, an area for RVs that dont need hookups, basic tent sites, and also a number of camper cabins by the lake. It is also a convenient stopover for folks on roadtrips and seems to be popular with retirees traveling with RV’s. We stopped for one night while on a road trip ourselves, and stayed in one of the tent sites which was very pleasant. This stay was in May, but we stayed here one time in October as well. There is a full bath house with showers snd bathrooms, a rec center with rental equipment for getting out on the lake, and a clubhouse. There is a field with bleachers for ball games, and a nice fenced in dog park.

ScoutMade reservation on line in February. I called and the recording stated they where closed. Early March sent email using KOA site email address cancelling reservation. Got a call the night of the date we where suppose to arrive asking if we where still coming. I let the person on the phone we had sent an email early March cancelling reservation. I was told they never recieved any email. I was charged for the reservation.
Guess it is like a money garb. Definitely a reason why Canadians are not going to US. Wonder if the staff has the Trump label pins? If your that hard up for $$ glad I could help. Will make sure I tell everyone about how crappy this KOA is.
