Grandpas Farm Camp Ground

Reservations are available at Grandpas Farm Camp Ground in Richmond, Indiana, which runs from April 1 through November 1 and accepts RVs up to 70 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer. The access road has a reputation for being rough, so drivers of larger rigs should approach with care. Sites sit beneath tall trees, giving the campground a shaded, canopied feel that reviewers consistently note.

A running creek behind the campground is one of its most-mentioned features. Campers can access the water directly from the property, and across the creek lies open farmland where goats are sometimes spotted grazing. The pool and a large kids playground round out the on-site options, and a covered gaming shelter adds another gathering space. "Bathhouse was on the primitive side but very clean," notes Jenny G., a sentiment echoed across multiple reviews. Cleanliness comes up repeatedly, particularly for the shower facilities.

The campground has been family-owned since 1964, and the current hosts are frequently mentioned by name in reviews for going out of their way to assist campers, including helping first-timers back in their trailers. WiFi and a dump station are also on-site. Campers planning a longer stay in the region can browse places to camp around Richmond for additional options. Those wanting a resort-style alternative might consider Deer Ridge Camping Resort, located a short distance to the southwest.

Nice camp

I only spent one night in my car here but the camp was nice. It has a nice pool and a creek right behind it that you can access from the camp. The bathrooms and showers were clean.

Family atmosphere campground

I love this campground! All RV wrapped and under the tall tree; behind the campground have a running creek, cross the creek is farmland, sometime saw group of goats eating grass on the field. What a charming place to stop for a night. They have a large kids playground and pool, very clean bathroom and the host friendly like part of families.

Needed a quick overnight …

Pulled in at 9:15pm, pulled out at 5:15am the next morning. The woman running the campground was helpful on the phone when we called a couple hours earlier, and had our pull through spot ready to go. Bathhouse was on the primitive side but very clean. The pool, playground, and gaming covered shelter were closed for the evening, but were clearly in excellent condition. Would be a great place to stay longer if we’re ever back in the area!

Excellent

This was a wonderful find! We only spent one night, but would have spent many more if time had allowed. We took advantage of the crystal clear pool, immaculate shower facilities, pretty stream and wonderfully kind owners.

Amazing first experience

My family recently purchased our first travel trailer and tested it out here. Hosts were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, helped us find a perfect spot and helped back us in. With the pandemic being here they also made it very easy to enjoy everything even while social distances were in effect.
