Serenity

We  stayed in the Tiny Home they had available to rent. It was well maintained. The patio had a grill and table with a fire pit that overlooked one of the lakes. They even had board games for our family to play (how thoughtful).  The park is quiet and the grounds are clean. They also have a new bait house that has snacks, drinks, bait and tackle.

What a gem!

We loved our time at Sky Lake! It’s a beautiful property, well maintained, and easy to make a reservation. We will definitely be back!

Small Campground, LOTS of fishing!

Sky Lake Resort is a very nice little campground nestled in among a series of 4 or 5 lakes. The views are fantastic and if you like to fish, this is the place for you!

The sites themselves are nice and level, but a little on the small side, but not that bad. You still have room for a fire and a table, but if you like to spread out this might not be the best place for you. It looked like most of the sites had water, sewer, and electric, and they had a pretty robust WiFi system with towers placed around the park (I believe it was paid WiFi, but I didn’t try it).

It does seem there are quite a few people there full time, but everyone was nice so not a big deal.

The one thing I really liked was that the entire reservation and check-in process was online, you didn’t have to check in at the office, just put your info into the website and you were all set, which is really nice after a long drive.

The campground is about 15 minutes from several fast food restaurants and a Frank Lloyd Wright house that is really worth a visit. It’s also less than 30 minutes from the air and space museum in Dayton, which is also really worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our long weekend here, it was a nice campground, close enough to civilization to be convenient yet still far enough away to be peaceful. We would definitely visit again!
