I told my wife that this was the rotten place that we stayed at before. She insisted that was somewhere else but there we were, all the people complaining about the nasty manager lady as we are swimming by AND the creepy, chubby manager dude with the grey goatee, ogling the little girls a little too long. Why are those people still there?? All she does is sit outside the office and smoke cigarettes and he creeps around. Everyone hates them and will smile to their faces but they're horrible!
Pros: paved roads, mostly clean bathrooms and two swimming pools. Cons: Teeny, tiny sites. Bingo hall bathrooms are gross. Awful, rotten egg smelling water. The beds in the cabin rentals are rock hard. Horrible WiFi. Good luck if you’re there and the electric cuts out. Very few activities (which you will also hear about"there used to be so many activities" "Lisa never has any activities any more") Good grief, the people are unhappy but I guess, too cheap to move on to a better place? The entire staff complains about them constantly, especially Rhonda in the office. I just came in to buy ice, lady, I don't need to hear about much you hate your boss!
I would suggest you keep looking rather than tolerate this toxic place and all the unhappy seasonal people and employees. Save your money and vacation time for a nice place with decent management.

Last August rented Cabin. It was beautiful and very clean. The owners were great and very helpful. !! Cabins are a little high in price.No WiFi,. KOA should lower the prices due to that. Activities are great keeps the kids interested. KOA should have on all camping sites Life Guard if there is water sports involved.Game room was nice and clean.Change machine needs to stay stocked.Fishing lake was great. I think with full swing in Season they should offer more activities for adults too.Camp Store should be more orangized. Bathhouse was very clean!.Trash was picked up every day and the Park very clean.! We have booked another Cabin for May 2021. They have a limited rental on Life jacket s. Bring ur own.!

Many pull through lots, with patios. 50. 30. Full hookup, (sewer and Electric) back in, pull through, tent sites, cabins, teepees. Swimming pool, private bathrooms and showers. Fishing lake, swimming lake, trails. Children play areas. Basketball, bad mitten/volleyball, Dog wash, dog parks (2), private fenced dog sites. (2)- pull through site.
Golf cart rentals, and seasonal sites that are being updated, but all are decorated nicely, and kept up.
KOA is revamping some of this campground. Work in progress, but awesome stay.

Here's what's great about this campground situated at an easy drive from major cities like Columbus and Cleveland...its scenic, a fully loaded campground with bathhouses, parks, hiking paths, swimming resivoir with boat rental...we highly recommend renting a pontoon for the day and hanging out in the resivoir for swimming and lounging! It's both relaxing and nice to get away from the beach crowd!

This was my second time staying here, I felt the need to write an updated review. I stayed in cabin 4 and was very impressed very clean and spacious probably could sleep 8 people. If you are looking for a place to stay while fishing for trout and steelhead this is your spot. They are directly on elk creek for the finest fishing imaginable. Campsite offers tent camping but it’s mostly in a open field. If your going to stay there don’t mess around just stick with the cabins. Uncle Johns is run by husband and wife, doesn’t seem to be any other staff so you need to have some patience.

This was our second trip to the Erie KOA for a soccer tournament in Edinboro. Our trip was almost ruined when our popup cable system failed and we could not use our camper. The staff was able to move us to a cabin and prevent us having to find other accommodations. They even stopped over to check on us after we swapped sites.
The kids enjoyed fishing in the pond and were able to catch a large small mouth bass and lots of blue gills.
Wish we had been able to use our original site overlooking the pond but the cabin provided what we needed.

Love it cause it close to the beach! It close to many activities in Geneva on the lake, the strip! Nice landscaping and a great camp store at the entrance. Lots of amenities. Hall, restaurant, pool,fitness center, activities center. Nicely done cabins.

RangerThis is not really a family campground. They have quite a few cabins some looked nice some not so nice. I stayed in what they called the train car. I only recommend that for a group of guys only there for the world class fishing. All in all if you are looking for a roughing it experience while you are slaying monster steel head look no further. The owner and staff were very nice and helpful with the surrounding area. Can't wait to go back

This is absolutely one of the nicer KOAs I’ve been at. Well kept, nice size, mostly level /gravel sites with grass. Pavilion picnic areas throughout. 3 ponds. Nice pool, a few play areas. Tent, seasonal, short-stay, cabins. All very nice! Bathrooms/showers immaculate! About 10 minutes off the highway. Nice trees everywhere and sites are good size! Off the road and quiet! Very pleased with it! Walmart just down the road and close to Cuyahoga National Park (lots of hiking).

Starting off, everyone from the employees to the other campers were super friendly! My boyfriend and I rented The Park Model Cabin which was sort of a half trailer with a full bathroom and full kitchen. The bed was the only detractor of our trip, as it was mostly springs. We brought our air mattress in for the second night and slept much better. The themed weekends throughout the season are fun and festive and there are a lot of activities to do and participate!

The Linesville Campground is a mid-sized state park campground with level, wooded sites, right on the Pymantuning Lake. A short walk to the marina which hires boats and sells snacks& fuel. There is a campground fish cleaning station with complimentary fridges/freezers.
The amenities are well kept with plenty of space, located in the center of the park. There is also a laundry. They accommodate tents, RV’s and have cabins also. RV dump station and water fill up conveniently located in the center of the grounds.
The township of Linesville is just 5min drive from the park entrance. Great weekend escape from Pittsburgh. They welcome furry friends!
GuideI don’t have much to say about this campground but to start off on a high note the pool was nice. Now the reasons for our low rating. WiFi was nonexistent, everything was dirty and run down. Our RV site was ok. Family rented a cabin and it was disgusting. Dirty furniture-dishes-run down. Toilet looked like someone died in it. For $250 a night our recommendation is get a hotel-cheaper and cleaner (which is what our family ended up doing). Oh and letting permanent sites fly all sorts of political flags makes this KOA unwelcoming and honestly a little scary. Do not waste your money here.

Kenisee Lake RV Resort Thousand Trails in Jefferson, Ohio is a another great Thousand Trails park! This park is very large and has a park-like setting with 2 lakes. There is fishing on the lakes and the campground has rowboats available to use. They have all the amenities a family could want such as swimming pool, playground, mini-golf, and more! The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Kenisee Lake has 30 and 50 amp FHU back-in and pull-through sites. The only downside is the internet which is lacking in this area. We have really enjoyed our stay here and will be returning! 👍🏻😬

TravelerI knock off a start for the neighbor who apparently stays there annually, who stumbled into our campsite in route to annoy other campers. She was visually drunk and kinda ruined our last night. But on the lighter note the man who is the caretaker and owner is a nice man he was kind enough to get us firewood on a night we came back later and had forgot to stop along the way. The lady who works the front desk is very blunt and a business only kind of gal which I like but others may find rude. The grounds were beautiful and for the most part quite. The restrooms near the entrance are their main with showers and in the ladies room one stall. They are dated but function well regardless, there are port-a-John’s around the tent sites that are closer but they are what they are. The owner told us best time to come back is fall/winter and the cabins are heated. We would come back if the lady is evicted or if we can find a spot further away from permeant tenants.

We stay here a couple of times per year and every time it’s a blast. The swimming pond has inflatables and boat rentals. There’s good fishing, and typically lots of activities. The place is clean and friendly with a pretty good selection at the camp store.
GuideMy family has camped at West Branch for years, and it makes for a great, quick getaway. Summers can be very crowded, it's always best after the kids go back to school and it cools off a bit. Great swimming, and Nelson Ledges is not to be missed!

Campsite G is the one. It is an open lean to with a stone fireplace facing the inside of the three sided wooden structure. Various watercraft rentals available, but look at availability before you go if that is included in your plans. Park has tent sites as well. Site G is a great setting and therefore books out more readily than other sites. Best for relaxation, chill kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, and shorter walks. Four stars because it is not a vast wilderness adjacent experience.
RangerWest Branch is one of the best-known family campgrounds in NE Ohio. And it's not hard to understand why. Full amenities, clean facilities, and a nice lake round out the picture of a great place to get some family R&R.
Here's what you can expect:
1. It's Busy.
Like, really busy. Be sure to book early as spots fill up often. Sites are fairly close to each other, but most people seem respectful of space and limits.
2. It's Accessible.
West Branch is a quick drive from Akron, Canton, Cleveland, and Youngstown - hence the draw. if you live anywhere close, there's no reason NOT to check this place out!
3. It's Fun (but a bit loud)
If you're looking for quiet, West Branch might not be the place for you. Since the lake has not real HP limits, you'll hear boats motoring quite a bit throughout the day.
4. It's got everything :)
Seriously. There's nothing else you could want. Hiking trails, swimming, a fully stocked office for the essentials you forgot.
Quick tip: Bring swimsuits. There are plenty of places to swim in the well-kept beaches or off a boat. West Branch is a great family getaway for summer swimming!
GuideWe’ve tent camped here several yrs. Haven’t Back our camper in yet but we re waiting for an opening . It’s booked up for a reason . Shower houses are nice and flow hot water when needed. Grounds are clean and well maintained. Beach is small yet clean and nice . Sites are shaded and nice size . Some larger than others. We fished w little luck around boat ramp and shoreline around there . Overall great family get away .

We really enjoyed camping at Lake Pymatuning. We had site J522, which is tucked back in a quiet loop. We camped for the first time in our (new to us) pop-up camper. The site was not level, but we were able to get the tent trailer level without too much effort. Bringing our bikes was a blast as we were able to bike down to the beach for swimming and we took our bikes to Meadville to do the Ernst bike trail (recommended - a paved, flat, easy 6.3 mile cycling trail through the woods and along the river).
Flush toilets and hot showers are available in the bath houses. The showers do not have a changing area within the shower unit or an area to store your towel/clothes within the shower unit. There is a central dressing room with towel hooks and 4-5 showers connected to the central dressing room. This was not a problem when I took a shower, as I was the only one using the area, but could be problematic if it was full and there was no place to set items you want to keep dry.
Fantastic campground for biking, swimming, boating, and having a peaceful getaway.
ScoutWe came here the weekend of August 14, 2021 and it will be our last! Friday night was ok, but when Saturday afternoon came all hell broke loose when the electricity went out in over half the campground! We all heard that the electric would be back up within and hour and a half. After about two hours I went to the office to find out if there was any new word on what was going on with the electric because I had started dinner in a crockpot and was told that, my refrigerator will keep my food cold for up to two days and multiple excuses why the power outage was not their fault and not their problem. At which time one of the owners stepped out of her office and stated that they have two pools to cool off which had nothing to do with the electric and dinner issues at hand! Then check out on Sunday came which was very “pleasant”; the kid at the desk was very kind asked how our stay was, when we told him that it wasn’t the greatest because of the power outage he handed us a slip for one free weekend on our next trip to be used by October. We explained to him that when we get home that we would be cleaning up our camper to sell and asked if it was possible for a partial refund on this trip; at which time the same owner came out with an attitude just about screaming that they don’t even have to offer anyone anything and ripped up the free night stay that was off to us. I calmly explained to her what I told the kid and also explained that not only would we be able to camp there again this year, but will never come back due to how they treat the people that just want to enjoy a weekend get away. I wouldn’t recommend this campground to anyone. Ignorant owners, hearing power outages are common there by other campers and not so clean bath houses!

This park is one of my favorites in Ohio at this time. Most of the sites are some what private. There are many trails and even a fog park next to the lake.

We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights, I will not be returning ever. List of things that were horribly wrong with this campground..-The whole place smelled like rotting sewage, the public bathrooms had pee and poop all over the floor like the toilets had been backed up and they were like that the whole time we were there.-The playground was covered in caution tape, so it could not be used.-The billards room looks like if you even touch anything, the whole place is going to fall in. The ceiling was falling in, the pool table was a mess, there were broken darts for the dart board, the stereo did not work, the trash was over filled and was infested with bugs.-The owner is horribly rude, we had an issue with something and we tried talking to him about it and the answer we received was"yeah yeah" and walked off.-The swimming pool is a lot smaller than the pictures on their website, by probably more than half the size.-The lake is covered in green stuff, so fishing if very hard to do there.-We stayed with another group of people and we both had golfcart rentals which they had to double pay for because they messed up their reservation, they also lost their golfcart for a good chunk of the day because the tires were bad and it had brake issues and they never received any type of refund or anything for that.-Were yelled at for having children on laps on the golfcart(one being a baby) and was told they had to be seated. So we had to get out and walk,(even though there was a lot of golfcarts where there were people sitting on laps and not getting yelled at.)-The day we were leaving we tied one of our dogs up outside to return the golfcart(which the dog can't be in) and we already had the camper packed up. So we tied her up in a shady area at the site with water for not(5minutes,) the owner was at our site and yelling at my 10 year old daughter for leaving the dog out. 1- she is 10 and 2- the dog is not allowed on the carts or allowed in the store and you have a strict 12pm return time for those. She was perfectly fine for those 5 minutes. There were a few other times that the experience was just not enjoyable and I am sure the owner will comment back and deny everything like he does in any post that has anything bad to say about him. Was a horrible experience and would avoid this campground at all costs. There are so many better campgrounds and for a cheaper price!!
