    Winton Woods Campground

Love this campground for a weekend rendezvous!

Winton Woods campground has spacious paved RV spaces with full hook-ups, fire ring, and picnic table. They also have cabin and tent camping. The location is located on the lake with access to put in a kayak or canoe. The bathrooms are clean, with private combined shower/dressing stalls. There is a playground for children, and a camp store that sells firewood and supplies. I love the tall pines on the property. They made me feel like I was out west. The campground is also near paved and unpaved trails in the park that surround more of the lake which allows for walking/running/hiking and bicycling, fishing, small craft boating, with small craft boat rentals available at the marina. The park also allows for horseback riding, and a small water park for children in the summer.

    Hidden Gem

Stayed at this campground 3 nights in one of their pull through RV sites. (Sites 8r and 5r) the site was paved and level and had a full hook up. The full hook up sites are in the middle of the camp, thus can be a little noisy. The more scenic sites are along the lake and are gravel and only have electricity at the site. The play ground got a thumbs up from our youthful traveler. And the park has a lovely loop for bike riding and walking the dog. Would certainly come back.

Great Place to enjoy the outdoors

Amazing views of the water and surrounding wooded areas. Good place to fish for bluegill and catfish. Awesome place to swim during daytime hours, just remember to us caution and don’t go out of designated area. Nice trails for hiking or taking a cruise on your bike. Spend the night at the camper cabin or if you have an RV hookup to one of the electric sites and enjoy the sunset. Wonderful place for the kiddos to learn about the great outdoors while enjoying some family time.

    Very nice "urban" campground

Very nice campground inside the urban loop in Cincinnati. Close to everything, yet quiet and secluded camping experience. Limited number of full hook-up spots - more would make this and even better site. Get your ideal site early during busy season.

    Clean and convenient

Winton Woods is located conveniently off of I 275. The sites are good size offering full hook up and electric only sites. It’s a great place for kids to play and ride bikes. They have a nice fishing lake, frisbee golf, bike and walking loop around the lake! Enjoy!

    Quiet campground with good facilities

This is a very nice campground. Nice lake, boating, playgrounds, bath houses, some full hook up sites. There are more good sites than bad. 4,5,9,10, 147-165 those were my favorites. Small town with stores and restaurants was only 8 min away.

Great stop on our way back to Michigan

    Amazing campground!

Loving our stay here at Winton Woods! Got a site right near the playground. Spacious sites, shade, a lake, bike paths, boat rentals. You have everything a nature lover could want! Would love to see more full hookups up sites. Upgrade the laundry room/showers. There is no bathhouse in the back where the electric only sites are. WiFi has been surprisingly excellent! 10/10 recommend!

    Awesome small State park

An older but updated Ohio State Park. Ran by a great volunteer staff! Nice canoe and kayaking lake, no motor lake. Fishing is good off shore or boat. Had a Bat house building event when we were there. Updated restrooms and shower house. Lots of shaded sites both 30 and 50 amps, no full hook ups, but easy to get too dump and water source for filling tank.

Great county park in a beautiful setting!

This is a great county park! It has a nice “campground” feel set in a large pine trees and wide sites but has 50-amp full hook-up sites. The campground is set in Winton Woods County Park which is about 20 minutes from downtown Cincinnati.

There are 123 campsites including RV sites, tent pads, and camping cabins. Most RV sites are back-in but there are 12 pull-thru sites. There is a myriad of sites here from 50-amp full hook-up with paved pads and patios to 30-amp gravel sites. Sites have fire pits, picnic tables. Campsites in the front section (1F – 25F and 1R – 12R) are big rig-friendly with paved roads wide enough to easily maneuver. All utilities worked accordingly and were well-placed in the site. Our 4G Verizon phone got good reception and we were able to get plenty of antenna television channels. The online reservation system is easy to use and gives you an array of sites/cabins to choose from. Be aware that lots of people use this park on the weekends so it can get quiet busy.

There are lots of amenities at this park. Within walking distance of the campground is Winton Woods Lake which has a harbor with boathouse, snack bar, boat rentals and playgrounds. There are miles of paved and rustic hiking trails. There is a camp store, dump station, laundry, restrooms/shower house, boat/kayak launch, and fishing access. Located in the park is a golf course and horseback riding center.

You are within a few miles of everything … grocery, gas/diesel, restaurants, and plenty of shopping. The park is close to I-275 and I-75 making for easy access to major interstates. One place you should not miss is Jungle Jims international grocery and market. This totally eclectic, sprawling "grocery store" has so much to offer. They pride themselves on providing unique foods from all over the world. I could spend hours in this store perusing the isles of which are sectioned off into country and region. There are entire sections on Indian foods, wines, cheeses that you have never heard of, and tanks with live fish ready for the filleting. Also within close proximity is Greaters -one of the country's best ice cream shops (according to Food and Wine). Just down the street is a new person favorite sandwich shop called Izzy's which is famous for their corned beef and delicious potato pancakes.

Loved this park because you have a very nice campsite with 50-amp full hook-up site with lots to do in the area. Our site was level and the roads were easy to navigate in our motorhome. The paved trail around the lake was great for walking/jogging and perfect for launching our kayaks.

We would definitely stay here again.

    Awesome - Flexibility

I love this campground. There are several different types of sites to choose from. Not just full hook up, electric, water and tent VS RV. They have sites that are typical, sites that extend into a private wooded area, a site with a water view, and sites that extend into the woods that join together where multiple campers can join together.

We did a little family reunion here. This way each family had their own site and could walk into the woods down their own path to be together. So peaceful, you are not allowed to put up tents in these areas due to potential falling trees but it is nice to enjoy.

Several walking paths and some will lead you to the water.

    First Stay

This was the first stay of my full time RV life. I’m glad I started here. It’s nice and quiet. People seem to be very friendly. I use Starlink and T-mobile 5G. The T-Mobile seems to be working best here. The cell booster I have made it go from “good” to “excellent”. I was able to get a full hook up site which I wasn’t expecting. My hot water tank went out and I had to use the bath house and it got the job done. It was clean, which I appreciated. There are a lot of seasonal campers here that have permanent spots. There is plenty of hiking close by and either Dayton to the north or Cincinnati to the south for plenty of things to do.

Recently looked at staying at the RV Flat Woods section. They haven’t done any camping upgrades. To the RV section the electrical. Is on the wrong side if a few sites. So you will need 25 ft 50 amp extension cord. The sites are Not Paved. They are Nit full hook up most of the pads they poured are in the Wrong position for a 5th wheel. For 45.00 a night. Your better off going to anyone of the Kentucky or Ohio State parks. They do have canoe rentals. and a huge frisbee golf course. “Rolling eyes “ really. They spent money on upgrades. Mainly on planting grass and walking loops. The few RV sites. Are gravel. Un even un kevel. And Over priced hasn’t changed for the past 4 years other than the price going up. The park area fir day use is nice. Ball field upgraded. Boat ramp. Same location just upgraded. With better automatic gate. Again the park is nice. But the rv section SUX. Especially fir 45.00 a night plus

    Great Peaceful Place

We really enjoyed our stay at Campshore. We had a 50/30 pull thru site with water, a fire ring, and a brand new picnic table. The owner was efficient and kind and we felt very welcome. Many of the sites were for seasonal guests who were able to enjoy full hook ups.

Even though we were not seasonal guests, many of those that were, were kind, one offered us kindling to get our fire going! Our children were able to do homeschooling while there and then we had ample time to explore the river shore and play on the playgrounds. We would definitely stay here if in the area again.

We stayed at Campshore in order to attend the Creation Museum. It was a great weekend all around and we enjoyed our stay.

We found sandy springs took a chance and we LOVE IT. We have been with multiple family members. Twice. They all wanted to go back. The place is very clean. the owners are amazing. Very accommodating. Even though we have full hook ups we used the clean personal shower rooms. We dont like to keep our camper at one spot. We do like to roam. BUT I would here. Love Julie and Darcy. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this campground ....unless we need the spot. Lol

    Massive!

This campground is massive! They have so many different loops, so it does not feel like you are camping with 400 other campers. Due to the size of the park, you have several options in choosing a campsite. There are a small amount of full hook up sites. We got lucky and got one of those because someone cancelled last minute. The only down side to our experience was that we were camping next to a very large group and I think they ought ever plug in light that they owned. The campground was lit up like an amusement park. I like the be able to enjoy the dark sky, but you can’t always pick your neighbors unfortunately.

    Nice campground new huge playground

We stayed one night on our way to pigeon forge, tn. It was neat and orderly but right on I-75 and next to RR tracks . We pulled in right at dusk and left after we got up , so we didn’t have time to explore. What we saw was nice and most of not all sites were full hook up. There were no fire rings or picnic tables at sites. We were told under new management and would be arriving soon. Staff were all friendly and polite. We also stayed here on way home and had time to fish the large pond… requested fire ring and enjoyed nice fire. Would recommend this place to anyone needing clean and friendly campground right off I-75

    Goodluck finding a spot

This RV park is more of a place for permanent residents. When we went there were literally no spots available. We had to stay in the parking lot for the RV park. Overall the park seemed relatively well maintained with the exception of a couple of sketchy houses. Many of the plots seemed like people had just abandoned their RV. If you're looking to stay at an RV park, look elsewhere.

    Solid KOA RV park

Overall the RV park was pretty nice. When we went it wasn't too crowded and there was plenty of open plots. Each plot is a gravel plot, so it may be difficult to park when rainy. There were also some big pot holes in some plots, so be weary about that. Sewage, water, and electrical were all easily accessible. The only odd feature was the placement of the sewage. If you're not careful you can easily park your RV on top of the drain, so keep an eye out for it.

    High quality RV park

Overall this RV park is one of the nicest I've been to. The area is really well maintained and everything is clean. The park sits right beside a marina, so there is a lot of crossover between people staying here and going to the marina. Sewage, water, and electrical were all surprisingly well maintained and clearly visible. Each spot had plenty of space for activities. Each plot also has it's own concrete slab for your RV, so you don't have to worry about parking in the mud. Overall a really nice park, but I would be careful about finding an open spot. When we went there were only a handful left.

    Nice campground

We stayed in site 6 on May 18, 2019. It was a gravel, back in site and backed up to the lake. It was fairly sloped towards the lake. We had a pop up with a 16 foot box but if you had a larger camper you might need blocs for your back stabilizers. The water pressure was quite high (70 psi) according to the worker at the campground so make sure to have a water pressure regulator. The pool looked great, but it closes really early at 8 o’clock which seems too early for the summer when it’s hot and light way past that. We didn’t get a chance to get in the pool as we get back to the campground about 8:15 and had to leave early the next day. The showers were great and clean. There were 9 of them, each in its own lockable room with a sink and toilet. There was also a laundry in the shower building. Three washers and dryers. We paid $40 for a one night stay with full hook ups and had no discounts applied. I would have given it a 5 but only gave it a 4 because of the early pool closing.
