    Shadow Lake RV Resort

    Great place and service

I stayed here in the worse month possible for camping in ohio but the owner made it a great experience. They are very accommodating. Even though every thing was snowy and muddy I could tell this is a very well taken care of place. Shower house was clean and warm. The laundry mat washed and dried great. As a construction worker I have payed way more for way less. This place is gem for construction/oil field workers in the area.

    Outstanding site in great campground

Stayed on a premium patio site and loved it. The campground and staff were awesome. Level site, great hook ups, awesome WiFi and cable. Clean facilities, 3 lakes (one with a fishing pier), 2 dog parks, and super friendly staff. 30 min to Cleveland. Walmart, gas stations and restaurants within 5 miles. Just off Ohio Turnpike, but can't hear it. Definitely recommend this KOA

    Silver Springs Campground

Great for the price and location

Stayed here to be close to the NP and it is a great little campground for a reasonable price. Big dog park with pond on the other side of the park. Sites are uneven but my favorite part was the wooded path.

    Silver Springs Campground

    Nice campground near Cuyahoga

We were in the area exploring Cuyahoga Nat Park and found Silver Springs. It was 18$ for a site with electric hook ups (15$ if you are a Stow resident) No option for no paying less for no hook-up camping. Water close by and port a pottie style bathrooms close to the camp sites. There are flush toilets a walk away but we didn’t use them. Sites are big and grassy but not super level. Wasn’t a big issue for us but could be for a bigger camper. The campground was calm and quiet. Lots of trails close by. Dog park down the street as well as a play ground and fishing pond! We had a great few days staying here and will be back if we are even passing thru Stow again.

    Salt Fork State Park Campground

The right side of the fork

Dog park!! and right on the lake!! Found this by mistake on our way out, and the dogs loved it. Access to lake, a beach, well fenced. I would give Salt Fork SP extra stars for this one, especially if there were campsites co-located.

Camp ground is easily accessible being just 6 miles from I70, leaving the convenience of Cambridge and city amenities close by while allowing for great trails and solitude. Stayed in campground A, and the front end has little shade, but being here in autumn was perfect for lots of sunshine on site. Sites with trees for tree tents is minimal. Drinking fountains are dispersed fairly frequently throughout campground, but RV hookups with water were limited during my stay. Shower houses and comfort houses all have flushers and sinks.

TICK WARNING!!!! After a morning hike down wooded Trail, we spent A LONG TIME pulling ticks from dogs...even though the temps were in the 30's overnight and everyone was treated with flea & tick protection.

    Silver Springs Campground

    Lots of options!

We really loved this little spot! It appealed to all of what we were looking for, our camp host was awesome. There was even a dog park within walking distance- a lot of trails to explore too. No showers and the Porto potties weren't the cleanest... But they were functional. Very hospitable locals- we were invited to a square dancing party that evening in the park! Very comfy and safe.

    Silver Springs Campground

    Great parking

The bathrooms are portojons and there are no showers, however there is THE best dog park I have ever seen in this area. So my dogs loved this campground more than me and that was worth it. It was dark enough to see a space station cross the sky at night. The camping spaces are rather close, but so many people want to camp there, because of its proximity to everything amazing.

Guide to Dellroy

Camping opportunities near Dellroy, Ohio center around Atwood Lake, a 1,540-acre reservoir with 28 miles of shoreline. Summer temperatures typically range from 75-85°F, with periodic rainfall creating temporary muddy conditions at many campgrounds. The region's wooded terrain provides natural shade at most sites, though campers should note that the hilly topography means many tent sites aren't completely level.

What to do

Horseback riding experiences: Canton/East Sparta KOA Holiday offers on-site horseback riding trails that appeal to campers of all ages. "My son and I really enjoyed ourselves! Close enough to the lake for a decent hike," mentions Cameron P. about outdoor activities in the region.

Lake swimming access: Tappan Lake Park Campground features a beach area for swimming, though seasonal conditions can affect water quality. "We stayed in area 5. Awesome place. It was late October so most things were closed. We'll definitely be back in 2024," notes Denise H. about their off-season experience.

Fishing opportunities: Memory Park Campground offers prime fishing spots, particularly at certain campsites. "We stayed in Cousins Cove... That particular spot had a great fishing spot," explains Zac C., highlighting the campground's appeal to anglers.

What campers like

Modern facilities: Woods Tall Timber Resort receives praise for its well-maintained amenities. "WTTR is our families favorite place to be during camping season in Ohio. It has everything you can imagine, it's safe and CLEAN!" reports Ashley S., emphasizing the resort's upkeep standards.

Quiet primitive options: For campers seeking a more secluded experience, Jefferson Lake State Park provides a smaller, less developed setting. "Tucked away in southeastern Ohio is a gem of a park for camping, hiking and horse camping. Clean water, restrooms, playground, sand volleyball and basketball court," shares Theresa Tittle R.

What you should know

Site selection matters: Pride Valley Campground has varying site quality and conditions. "Definitely insanely overpriced for low-impact tent-campers. The majority of the campsites are also so hilly that you can't put a tent up on a flat spot," warns Scott H., highlighting the importance of researching specific sites.

Seasonal closures: Many facilities at area campgrounds close during the off-season. "It was late October so most things were closed," mentions Denise H. about Tappan Lake, which applies to many campgrounds in the region.

Limited amenities at some parks: Jefferson Lake State Park lacks certain facilities despite online listings. "We picked this campground because of it's proximity to an event we were doing and because it had showers. There are showers...but they look as if they've been boarded up for several years," reports Alex S.

Only 2 electric eq sites. Electric is a little far behind pad. We almost needed extension cord," advises Eddie.
