Table Rock State Park Campground

The area and surrounding trails are wonderful. The campground itself has too many sites that they are piling up next to each other with no space or privacy in between sites.

This is my favorite SC park (so far). Several waterfalls are in the area, plus fishing lakes and swimming beach. Lots of outdoorsy things to do, and beautiful views of Table Rock from the Mountain Laurel Campground. The White Oak Campground is hillier. I stayed here over New Year's and did a ranger-led First Day Hike.

The site was big with lot of more plus private. The bathroom was clean and showers were hot.

My new favospot. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and at night it’s really quite. Make sure to bring your own firewood and there isn’t much laying around to pick up but overall a fantastic place.

We absolutely loved this park. We stayed at the White oak campground. Beautiful and large sites. The family showers didn’t work when we were there but the ones in the main shower house were fine. Peaceful and wooded camping. Absolutely amazing hikes. Especially for kids. The beach and swimming area are amazing! I would definitely go back!

We stayed at Table Rock in August of 2021.

•The bathrooms were clean but could use a little updating •The sites are gravel, but it’s very large gravel that is difficult to walk on or move anything wheeled over. Otherwise they were level once you got onto the site and the website specifies which sites have slopes and which don’t. We were on sites 66 and 68. •Hiking is excellent, and staff were very helpful!

Stayed in white oak, less crowded. Stayed in site 83 near creek pretty but kids do tend to play there. Site 84 also good and 93 would be more private and nice. Clean bathrooms. Sketchy cell service. Amazing hiking. Mountain laurel campground has a LOT more people but 24,25,26,28 are quite separate.

The hiking is amazing. You can get 3 days of pretty heavy duty hiking easily. Knowee toxaway state park is close and you can hike or go to the lake.

My husband and I went there for our second anniversary. It was a great get away. There is so much hiking and exploring to do. We stayed in the White Oak campground with our pop-up. It was a very clean bathroom and there was hardly anyone there. We did go in the middle of the week to avoid people, so it worked.

We absolutely loved camping here. Our campsite was really big too especially compared to most they are pretty small and right on top of each other. Beautiful hiking trails. First time ever hiking and with 3 kids. Ages 6,4, and 1. They absolutely loved it. Highly recommend doing carrick creek trail (1.9mi) and the do the palmetto trail cutting across to mount laurel and then back through carrick. (2.9 mi) then definitely do the lake trail. We are definitely coming back and hitting the table rock hike.

We stayed in White Oak site 83 near creek. It was lovely. We truly enjoyed our stay, though I know the other campground is very crowded. The hiking at table rock is amazing. Long and strenuous with huge views for a reward.

This was my first time staying at the park, but second visit. This is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It isn’t as busy as the Smokies and I find myself more at rest here. The park has good to excellent facilities and is well maintained. In the park, you can swim, hike, camp, fish and kayak. You will see some excellent views of the mountain ranges. We saw deer, squirrels, birds, snakes, and many salamanders. There are many waterfalls in the area and many places to hike. There are a couple of small towns not far away and Greenville isn’t a long drive. If you like to hike there are two strenuous hikes in the park from 4-8 miles long and steep climbs that offer breathtaking views.

This is a nice campground with sites decently spread out.  One drawback is that from the campground there is no easy access to the lake- you can either drive and park (and hope to find parking) or walk on a busy road .  The lake is lovely, though, we rented a paddleboard and had a wonderful time.

Site 13 was a lovely site with a HUGE area to camp in.  We had two cars, a travel trailer and a tent and had plenty of space.

I was born in SC and my parents retired just across the NC state line. I have camped most of my life. I am ashamed to say this was my first time here, but it won't be my last. Fishing, hiking, kayaking, swimming, birding. All that combined with quiet serenity. The host was wonderful. The bathrooms were dated, but clean. Hot Showers. You are also within a short drive to Travelors Rest or about 45 min - 1 hr to Greenville. Greenville. SC. A great day trip. Ashville is also worth a drive to visit Biltmore.

Have waited six months into our RV life to start reviews for fair comparisons. Spent 4 nights here. Mortified to say that this was our first time here despite living in Charleston, SC for over 10 years. What a gem! Fabulous solid hiking including waterfalls and biking even around the park’s roads. Love the feel of this campground. Living in the forest. And one of the most friendly camp hosts we have encountered. Could easily have stayed here longer.

We camped at Table Rock State Park in SC in October 2020. It's a beautiful park, clean and well maintained. The weekend was a little crazy. The park was packed and many sites were filled to overflowing. I'm glad we were able to stay past the weekend to enjoy the peace and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Kayak rentals are very inexpensive, but 30 - 60 minutes is all you'll need. They were a little short staffed due to Covid, so the check-in location near the campground was closed. We had to check in at the Visitor Center, which is quite inconvenient if you're towing a rig. But all in all, it was a great stay!

Since it is a large Rock cliff, probably not nest for kids. But is does have an amsonh view

We loved table rock. Campground is peaceful and lots of hiking trails all over. Planning on visiting again next weekend.

The campground at the top has very poor to no cell service, so we stayed on the lower loop closest to the camp store. They have been updating the sites to prevent flooding. The bathrooms are up kept, the camp store is handy for almost anything you need and has free wifi and laundry services. The sites are beautiful, but not all are level. Look around before you choose your site.  The hikes are jaw-dropping but be prepared with plenty of water and possibly a rain jacket. The swimming area is adorable and open, but because of COVID, the jumping dock is closed. We will come back to this campground!

I took my 10yo son camping for the first time (for both of us!). We had a great time! The campground was clean and quiet. Bathhouses were very clean as well. We enjoyed the trails and swimming in the lake. It rained a bit each day, but we still loved it. I can’t wait to take another trip, will definitely be back!

We had campsite 8. I wouldn’t recommend the front row sites (1-8) because of traffic exposure, but they’re not terrible. We booked late and that’s all that was left. Traffic isn’t bad. Had water and electric hookup. Campground was full, but didn’t feel crowded or full. We will go back but will probably try for the 60s campsites.

I'll admit that I'm not in my best shape ever but also know it's not my worst shape, this was full leg workout for 4 miles up as well as 4 miles back down. I highly recommend in the warmer months you get on the trail as early as possible. It opens at 7am. Bring plenty of water. The views along the way are beautiful and when you get to the top at the main overlook is fabulous too. I say the main overlook as there are a couple spots like right at Governors Rock is deep into the trail...but not the main view.

We stayed in a cabin. The cabins have everything you need. Full kitchen with all utensils included. Very clean and the beds are so comfy. No cell service. Which is grea!

Table rock is a very clean park. My sister and I hiked the Carrick creek trail. We had a great hike. Would highly recommend.

It’s a nice state park with two lakes and nice hiking past waterfalls. We had a spot for our popup behind the wash house which was very clean btw. Site was shaded with a firepit. Closest town for things you forget is about 30 min away. It rained all weekend but we enjoyed ourselves anyway. There were all kinds of campers here from tents - million dollar rigs. Roads into the camping area had some “s” type turns. From the website: Camping Information: The park provides a 69-site camping area, located near the park entrance, and a 25-site camping area, located near White Oaks picnic area. Each site has individual water and electrical hookups, and picnic table. Some sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet. Both campgrounds are convenient to restrooms with hot showers.

This campground is family friendly. You feel very safe walking around. I have visited in fall; you do need to drive to most hiking trails unless you want to add a good bit of a walk to your hike. Campsites are close but do not feel overcrowded.

I live roughly 10 minutes from Table Rock and go there all the time especially during the summer. The Table Rock trail is a must if you are nearby! It is pretty strenuous especially if you have health issues but is well worth the trek to the top. Just make sure that if you hike during the winter to give yourself plenty of time to finish the trail and to wear good trail shoes since ice can be expected. The campsites are always very well kept; as is the park in general but gets pretty crowded.

Variety of campsites available to suit any camping style. Great for families, as there are drive up camp sites with fire pits and plenty of space, and spread out so it still feels like you have privacy. Lots of great hikes.
