Amity COE campground

Located in Lanett AL, large campground located  on West Point Lake. Large well spaced sites many on the water. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. Boat launch nearby. Some sites with water and power. Dump station available. We only spent one night while traveling thru the area.

Nice quiet, rustic campground.

We spent 5 nights here in early June 2021. The campground is pretty well maintained, and quiet. Nice showers and bathrooms on the higher numbered loop of the campground. Right on a well stocked river. Most sites will be able to handle a small trailer (we have a 17') or a tent. Class B's are fine. When you reserve a site they will tell you how big a rig will fit, believe them. Most of the sites are shaded. We struggled with our solar panels. Lot's of mountain biking close by, Asheville is about 20 minutes away. Sierra Nevada brewery is about 15 minutes. We would go back.

Clean, plenty of shade.

We stopped at the Mitchell KOA twice in 2020. It's located very close to the highway (tho no noise). Decent sized pull thru sites with lots of big shade trees. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Did not use the pool. Small camp store. Staff was very friendly. Cheapest KOA we have stayed in.

Neat and clean

Typical KOA, right off I-90. Small county park across the street on the shores of Lake Erie. On the higher range price wise for aKOA. $55. There is a small kids playground, fishing pond, food truck on site.

Decent spot

Right on the road, hosts were very friendly. Full hook ups at a reasonable price. We stayed on an Labor Day weekend and were super happy to just find a place. Quiet, stores and fuel very close by.

Old, outdated.

Campground is city owned. Very rundown. City is evaluating the site now to decide whether or not to close it.
