Fishing enthusiasts and Lake Erie explorers will find direct access to the shoreline at this 97-site state park campground in Brocton. The facility operates seasonally from mid-May through October, accommodating both RVs up to 46 feet and tent campers across electric and non-electric sites.
Campers consistently note the well-maintained grounds and clean facilities, though Layla P. describes the bathrooms as "just okay but clean and stocked." The campground maintains comfortable spacing between sites with mature trees providing natural shade. Despite full capacity during peak periods, Donna A. found it "quiet since I like to retire early," though enforcement of the 10 PM quiet hours helps maintain order.
Water access remains the primary draw, with reviewers noting the short walk from most sites to the rocky Lake Erie shoreline. The park features hiking trails through forested areas and along the beach, plus boat launches for those bringing watercraft. Wildlife sightings include black squirrels, rabbits, and various bird species. Sunset viewing from the shore proves popular among visitors.
The campground provides electric hookups at most sites, though water connections require campers to drive to nearby spigots rather than having hookups at each site. Sewer connections and a dump station serve RV users. Road access can be challenging, with some reviews mentioning rough conditions. The location sits about 15 minutes from town by car, so arriving well-stocked is advisable.
For a different lakeside experience, Creekside Haven RV and Tent Site offers a smaller-scale alternative south of the park.
