Sheridan Bay Park

They're only taking reservations for two weekends around July 4th this year for regular camping, everything else is seasonal.

Under new management. Immense clean up and maintenance has gone on throughout the off season. Quiet  peaceful lake erie campground. Great, family oriented season campers made us feel welcome.

Sheridan Bay Park is a great place if you are wanting to kayak or do any type of water activities. There is a beautiful lake, but it does get pretty busy in the summertime. I love kayaking right in the morning, just to beat the crowd. You can also boat and fish on the lake as well. The campground was pretty clean, which I always appreciate. The campground is located in Dunkirk, and there are quite a bit of other activities you can do outside of the campground, within the town. Lake Erie State Park is fairly close by, and that lake is really pretty as well. The campground is very family friendly, great for all ages. Again, in the summer months the park does tend to get pretty busy- the campsites are on a first come first serve basis so I would recommend coming early in the day if you want to get a good spot. Campground has bathrooms, fire pit and picnic table too.
