Seasonal limitations: Most dog friendly campgrounds near Dale operate May through October. "We stayed at Southwoods while visiting the Rochester, NY area and exploring attractions in the area. The campground is about 20-25 miles from downtown Rochester and located in a quiet rural setting surrounded by farmland," explains Nancy W., noting the operational dates of May 1 to October 31 for Southwoods RV Resort.

Noise considerations: Proximity to attractions and events can affect quietness. "If you like a park that is near an amusement park and not that quiet this is for you. "It was a busy place with lots of RVs, but my campsite was in a field bordered by wild flowers at the end of the campground with no one else around. Over the hill was a beautiful and unique golf course set in the woods," explains Lisa S. about Darien Lake Campground.

"Southwoods is a beautiful campground and accommodates campers of all ages. 2 well kept pools, playgrounds, laundry facilities, mini golf, soccer, basketball. The employees are so helpful and nice!
