Best RV Parks & Resorts near Dale, NY

Several RV parks offer accommodations near Dale, New York with varying hookup options and seasonal availability. Southwoods RV Resort in Byron operates from May 1 to October 31, providing full hookups including 50-amp electric service, water, and sewer connections for RVs. Red Rock Ponds RV Resort in Holley accommodates big rigs with similar amenities and operates May through mid-October. Skyline RV Resort in Darien Center features both 30-amp and 50-amp hookups across its RV sites, with most areas having gravel pads. Many parks maintain gated access and paved internal roads, though pull-through sections may have gravel surfaces. "The campground is quite large and has separate sections for seasonal and transient campers and has a variety of different campsites from back-ins to pull-thrus, 50 to 30-amps, and full hook-up to water and electric only."

Advance reservations are essential during peak seasons, particularly summer weekends and fall foliage periods when occupancy rates climb. Several parks provide sanitary dump stations for guests, though some may charge additional fees for this service. Cell service varies between locations, with some parks offering complementary WiFi that may slow during peak usage hours. Most RV resorts in the region welcome pets with standard restrictions and leash requirements. Site spacing tends to be tighter at full capacity, particularly in weekend sections. According to one visitor, "One downside of this park is that the sites are pretty close and feel a little cramped when the park is full." The proximity to main highways provides convenient access for larger rigs, though some campgrounds may have narrow entrance roads requiring careful navigation.

    Canandaigua-Rochester KOA

    Camping near Canandaigua, New York

Campers exploring the Canandaigua area discover a delightful mix of lakeside retreats, wooded state parks, and family-friendly RV resorts. Just minutes from downtown, Canandaigua City Park Campground offers easy access to local shops and the lakefront beach, making it a convenient base for those who want town amenities within walking distance. A short drive farther out leads to Keuka Lake State Park Campground and the privately owned Canandaigua-Rochester KOA, both of which feature spacious sites, clean facilities, and excellent opportunities for swimming, kayaking, and fishing on the Finger Lakes. For those seeking a quieter experience, numerous backcountry and dispersed sites are tucked into the surrounding National Forest, where campers can truly unplug—though it’s essential to bring all necessary supplies and practice Leave No Trace principles. Ontario County Park at Gannett Hill and the Stay Bristol Woodlands campground blend rustic charm with modern comforts: well-maintained restrooms, picnic shelters, and on-site hiking trails that wind through hardwood forests and offer scenic overlooks, especially stunning during fall foliage season. Travel logistics are a breeze when visitors prearrange an airport shuttle from Rochester or Syracuse airports, ensuring a smooth transition from plane to campsite. And for adventurers mapping out multiple stops across the Finger Lakes or beyond, reliable multi-city transfers provide comfortable, door-to-door rides—no rental car necessary. With its blend of waterfront sites, wooded hideaways, and nearby attractions—wineries, waterfalls, and historic villages—the Canandaigua region truly has something for every type of camper. Whether pitching a tent under the stars or rolling in with an RV, visitors will find endless opportunities for adventure and relaxation.

    Cinderella Motel & Campsite

Basic, Convenient, VFM (value for money)

This campground is very basic with very close campsites.  The bathhouse and laundry are old but clean.  The staff were very friendly and helpful.  It is very close to Niagara falls and for the money it is the best campground here.  KOA and Branches CGs are nicer but they are also triple the price which for us did not seem worth it.  We were in a back in gravel site that backed up to the motel which may not seem that nice but the electric, water and sewer worked perfectly.  Our 40 foot MH and Toad fit with room to spare.  There were sites that were on the outskirts of the property that backed to the woods which some people may prefer.  Those sites were just as close although there were several that would take big rigs bit don't expect to open your awnings in most sites.   There is a nice grassy area in the center with a small covered pavilion.   There are a few sites on the side/front of Motel.  We were here to visit Niagara Falls so location and a basic campground with full hookups was all we were looking for and this campground fit our needs perfectly.  We would stay here again.

    Niagaras Lazy Lakes Camping Resort

    Clean & Friendly

We have camped here several times. Bathrooms are very clean along with the showers. They are cleaned on a daily basis. Store on site has just the bare amenities. Big clubhouse, 2 heated pools and a pond to fish (catch & release). Sites are big. Pet friendly. Staff are very friendly. 10-15 minutes from Niagara Falls and close to stores. It does have 2 on site laundry facilities but the dryers take a while. Enjoy going there.

    Darien Lakes State Park Campground

    Clean/Quiet Campground

9/25-9/29/22- The park was nearly empty, perhaps 6 or 8 other campers widely spread out. It was immaculate and the sites well spaced apart. All site have a picnic table and fire pit. Ours had both 30A and 50A power, was pretty level left/right but about 6” high in front before we leveled our 34’ fifth wheel. The park has drinking water faucets at a variety of places throughout, but site#15 has a faucet directly next to it, so we had water available too. Both AT&T 4G and Verizon 5G had 3 bars reception. The dump station was clean and convenient. It looked like a great place for kids that included at least one (probably more) playground.

    AA Royal Motel & Campground

An old campsite that fits our needs

This is not a resort campground nor is it a campground built for escapism. It’s very close to Niagara Falls, the Rainbow Bridge (for driving into Canada), and Buffalo, NY.

Mike is very friendly; check in was easy. The sites are full hook up or w/e only. There are pull throughs and back-ins, 30amp and 50amp sites. Your site is assigned once you arrive. You pay a deposit when you book and pay the rest when you arrive.

They have Good Sam and weekly discounts and I was also given a cash/check discount. So our total was $51 a night for a week’s stay.

The sites toward the front are definitely more level and have better cell service, but the sites toward the back are better shaded. Cell service and wifi was enough for me to work during the week and stream at night.

The facilities could use some work. They are very old, and it’s hard to tell if they are clean or just old. Laundry is available - $2.50 a wash/$1.75 a dry.

Basically, don’t expect a beautiful vacation campground. I work full time remotely from the camper. I was able to work during the days and get to Niagara Falls, CAN, and Buffalo quickly after work. Even with the discount, which I’m thankful for, it is overpriced for what it is. But it served my needs, I felt safe, and the owner was friendly so 3 stars. With some TLC to the sites and the facilities, I’d give it 4.

    Webster Park

    Close Family Camping

We go to webster park family campground several times a year for the past few years. Usually sometime in early May and in late October with an occasional day or two mid summer. It is a smaller single loop campground with sites for tents/small trailers, larger trailers, and motor homes. He difference is 30a power and no water or sewer, 50a power and water, and 50a power and water/sewer. There is a dump station. The motor home sites are all along the entrance road. The small and large trailer sites are distributed around the loop. Nice central playground and bathroom/shower house. There is hiking in the park, lots of nice woods, big field for playing games/sports. It’s close to town and home for us. We stay close to the playground these days in our pop up usually at site 5 so our 5 and 9 year old can walk or ride to campground. We like site 1 as well. We stay on the outer ring on that side of loop as it gives access to the woods and trails behind the sites. The campground is very quiet and very kid friendly to allow them to walk around and ride or scooter the loop alone.

They allow reservations online on the monroe county parks website, and are open May 1st to October 31st.

    AA Royal Motel & Campground

    Good location

This campground is open year around which is really hard to find in this area. We needed to come here for personal reasons before any other campground was opened. So far this isn’t bad could be better/ cleaner.

It is 50 amp full hook up with free Wi-Fi that doesn’t suck.

The site are paved level back ins and pull throughs

The staff was nice enough. Haven’t had much interaction with him.

There is a great Italian store right across the street and Niagara Falls down the road. I would stay here in a pinch again

Guide to Dale

RV parks near Dale, New York operate primarily from May through October due to the regional climate and seasonal tourism patterns. Most campgrounds in this area maintain gravel site pads with full hookup capabilities, though availability varies between locations. Cell service reliability depends on carrier and proximity to main highways, with stronger signals typically found at parks closer to Batavia.

What to do

Explore the Erie Canal: The historic waterway offers recreation opportunities near Red's Twilight on the Erie RV Resort. "Kayak launches and boat marina nearby. The speed limit is 5 MPH and they mean it.... Kids on bikes and having a good time in the enormous play area," notes Rachel T.

Golf at nearby courses: Several campgrounds provide access to golfing facilities, particularly Hickory Ridge Golf & RV Resort which integrates camping with country club amenities. "It's definitely more of a 'locals only' kind of feel as it is a country club and golf resort primarily," explains Mariah G.

Family recreation areas: Pools and playgrounds provide structured activities during summer months. "Southwoods is a beautiful campground and accommodates campers of all ages. 2 well kept pools, playgrounds, laundry facilities, mini golf, soccer, basketball," reports Hope C.

What campers like

Clean facilities: Bathhouse cleanliness receives consistent positive mentions across multiple parks. "Bathrooms were very clean. Quiet campground. Lots of plays areas for kids," notes Sydney W. about Southwoods RV Resort.

Weekend activities: Many parks schedule regular entertainment and gatherings during peak season. "They have a busy events calendar throughout the year with lots of get-togethers. During our stay they had a closing weekend pizza and wings party with live music for a small fee," says Nancy W.

Pond fishing: Several parks maintain stocked fishing ponds accessible to guests. "The pond was great for the dogs but it's a little run down here & lots of seasonal sites," mentions Bella S. about Niagara Hartland RV Resort.

What you should know

Rural setting: Most parks sit in agricultural areas with minimal urban development nearby. "The campground is about 20-25 miles from downtown Rochester and located in a quiet rural setting surrounded by farmland," explains Nancy W.

Weekend crowding: Occupancy patterns change dramatically between weekdays and weekends. "We stayed four nights (which included a weekend) and experienced the park going from half full and quiet to packed with lots of music, all-day fires, and big gatherings," reports one camper.

Train noise: Railroad tracks run near several campgrounds in the region. "There is a train track near the park which occasionally is quite noisy," notes a visitor to Skyline RV Resort.

Tips for camping with families

Pool access timing: Most campground pools open from Memorial Day through Labor Day with variable hours. "They have many activities like swimming, mini golf, a couple really nice playgrounds, fishing (the kids love getting sunnys and there are bass as well), an arcade, a small gym," explains Kristine B. about Lei-ti Recreation Resort.

Playground options: Playgrounds typically accommodate various age groups but may lack shade structures. "Family friendly park, lots of activities, park hosts/owners are hands on and awesome," reports Cheryl M.

Safety considerations: Speed limits within campgrounds typically range from 5-10 mph and are strictly enforced. "It feels safe and is our home away from home. Looking forward to spending many years to come at this campground," shares a regular visitor.

Tips from RVers

Site leveling challenges: Many parks have uneven terrain requiring significant leveling equipment. "Almost all of the sites are not even close to level. Not a big issue with a fifth wheel but a real hassle with a motorcoach," cautions Donna C.

Seasonal vs. transient sections: Park layouts typically separate long-term and short-term campers. "The campground is made up of mostly seasonal campers. The campground is a family run campground and they treat everyone like family there," notes one regular camper.

Maintenance services: Some parks offer on-site RV repair capabilities for unexpected issues. "They have a repair shop on site," mentions Paul G., which can be valuable for travelers experiencing mechanical problems.
