Clean and well run RV park

We enjoyed our 2 nights here and would stay again next time we are in Taos.  Easy access to all the activities in the area.  Grounds and bathrooms were very clean.  The staff was friendly and helpful.  In late Sep it was still busy and full, but it was quiet within the RV park.   We had a full hookup site and all services worked as expected.  Wifi was available, with repeaters around the park.  Mobile service was solid.  The showers worked well and were clean.  The only negative was the noise from the adjacent streets with what sounded like street racing, finally quieting down around 1AM.

Wonderful little RV Park!

Water & Elec hookups and dump station on site.  We loved this spot.  The owner is very hospitable and following her dream of owning the park.  We enjoyed visiting.  When we checked in, she made sure we got into the best spot for our trailer.  Spaces were spacious with vegetation in between them. The park was clean with much attention paid to the aesthetic.  very charming! Walking trail around the park.  Convenient to all that Taos has to offer.  Will stay again!

Decent RV Park

We arrived on a Friday in late April around 5 pm without reservations hoping we could secure a site. The office closed at 3 pm but there were instructions on how to register after hours. We chose Site 19 (water and electric) but unfortunately, we could not take advantage of the electricity as our cord would not reach (had we not been instructed to drive in/back out, it might have worked). Had we known we could not access the electric, we would have selected the less expensive dry site. The roads in the RV park are gravel and some driveways are gravel while some have concrete pads. Our 18-foot campervan fit in Site 19 but there was not a lot of room left over. There was a picnic table and BBQ grill on a concrete pad to complete the site. There is some foliage to separate the sites but as would be expected in an RV park, the sites are close together.

The restrooms/showers were clean, and the shower was nice and hot with a good spray. There is a separate code for the men’s and women’s restrooms, however, since we registered after hours, we had to search through all the materials to find the code.

There is a somewhat dated playground and a dump station. This RV Park is located near the main highway but not directly on it; there was some road noise but not too much. We were within walking distance to Guadalajara Grill which had been recommended to us and we were not disappointed. It was a very quiet stay for us even as the park was about ¾ full.

Quiet yet convenient

We are not RV park people but found ourselves in need of showers and laundry. Taos Valley is easy to find and very convenient to Taos. Office was friendly and helpful. The no hook-up area was very quiet. The area is attractive with trees and other landscaping. The park included a ‘natural’ area perfect for walking dogs. We only planned for one day but stayed for two.

Quiet Location

Perfect location for visiting Taos minutes from down town and other attractions. Just outside town in a less congested more quiet area. Two restaurants within walking distance as well as major grocery supply minutes away. Sites are nicely spaced and fairly level ..some are placed most are gravel. Minimal shade from small trees but landscape is nice at each site. We prefer to use our own bathroom so I cant speak to the bath facilities. Appears to be mostly travelers..no permanent sites. Would stay again if in the area.

Nice park south of town

After making the reservation on the phone we never dealt with the people here.  When we arrived we went right to our spot.  The campground is quiet, nicely laid out with some trees, and the facilities worked fine.  The location is really good just south of Taos; a 10 minute drive into town.

Wonderful Stay

Love this park, the people were great.  The guests were friendly.  There was a nice little trail to walk dogs.  The only negative thing about the park was the wifi, very limited bandwidth.  So, if you are working remotely, have a backup.  The other thing I would be aware of is not related to the park, but there is no Uber there.  So, if you are like us and only have bikes, be careful and wear a helmet!  Not the best bike-friendly place, but if you have to it is a quick 30-minute ride downtown.  I would totally recommend this park and will absolutely be back!

The most accomodating!

Taos Valley RV Park has been the most accomodating. We were supposed to be here just two weeks and have extended to 6 due to my husband having emergency surgery. They have been so accommodating and so understanding during the whole ordeal. The park is nice and quiet. There are two sections of spots, one paved and one unpaved. We are at an unpaved spot but it’s fairly level.

The regular outlet one our power pedestal went out and they fixed it the next day no questions asked.

Bathrooms are decent but if someone flushes the toilet while you’re showering prepare to get scalded.

Laundry is nice and fairly priced but there are 2 machines known for eating your quarters, but they will give you the $1.50 without any hassle.

Nice park, close to everything

We spent two nights here in September on a short notice trip.  Fortunately they had room for us.  I did have a chance to talk with one of the owners, very nice and accommodating.  They just bought the park this past summer and were working really hard to improve the experience for the campers as they were full timers before landing in Taos.

We really liked the park.  Even though the sites a fairly close, there is vegetation between the sites that give you more privacy than you usually get in a RV park.  They can accommodate any sized rig.  We will definitely stay there again if in the area.

Great Campground Close to Taos Plaza

Had a great experience here, stayed 3 nights tent camping with my dog. Bathrooms with showers, laundry room, store, and coffee/tea available in the office. The whole property has a friendly/family culture and the couple who manages the campground is very personable and knowledgeable about the area. Will be back!

Creme of the Crop RV Park!

What a wonderful find, just a short distance from the beautiful town of Taos! Plenty of privacy at each site with your own sagebrush garden, picnic table, grill and water pump. Bathrooms are spotless and there’s free wifi. Walking distance to restaurants and live music. The lovely couple that run it are super friendly! I highly recommend this place!

Well maintained RV Park.

We only spent one night there but the location was perfect for our trip and very convenient to launch from the next day for our exploration of Taos. The site we stayed at had electric and water. It was not very level but we had no trouble getting our van leveled quickly. The staff was courteous and helpful and the bathrooms were VERY well maintained. The only negative comment is that they charge a premium price, which is understandable based on the location. But they also come by and read the meter for electrical use and bill you for that too. It was only a small extra charge for us after one night, less than 25 cents, but based on the nightly price, I feel like that should be included.

Convenient place - Not great wifi

Overall I enjoyed staying here. The area is quiet and peaceful, there were some tiny trees for shade, they helped tremendously. I camp in my car, so this area was really nice for that, the ground is mostly gravel and not much space between the camp sites, probably not as enjoyable as a tent camper. I still felt cozy and safe here though. The only downside for this spot is the cell service and wifi - it’s super spotty.

Nice campground, but they don't include electricity in rate

This is one of only a few RV parks in the immediate area of the city of Taos. This campground had positive reviews, and the photos looked nice, so we chose it. As other people indicated, the park is clean, and reasonably spacious for a private campground. There were buddy sites so your traveling partners could have coaches facing one another, which is also nice.

There was ample room to park both our fifth wheel and our truck. The sites we had were concrete and level(we were traveling with others, and their site at a different area of the park was dirt/rock and much less level). There was good Verizon and AT&T cell service in the park as well.

I don’t use park WiFi, the laundry rooms, or the bathrooms so I cannot comment on that(although people we were traveling with said they were nice). My issue with this park is the way they charge.

Their website indicates a certain charge for 30 amp sites, 50 amp sites, pull-thrus and back-ins. Also, some had sewer, and some did not. Not until we got there did we discover that although we had paid for a premium spot with 50 amp power and sewer, that the cost of the electricity itself was NOT included in the price. This was not prominently indicated on their website. Their policy/procedure was to take a meter reading each day, and that cost was added to the camper’s bill at the end of their stay. I understand that many campgrounds do this for monthly campers, and even weekly. I have NEVER seen this at a campground on a daily rate. I have been all over the country, staying at private campgrounds from coast to coast, and this was the only one that I have ever seen that charged for electricity on a daily rental. I brought this to their attention, and their attitude was, “that’s the way we do it” and was terse about it. The actual dollar amount was not great, about$2/night...but that was based upon our usage.

We had people traveling with us that used their air conditioner(we did not) and it was about$5/night. They have every right to do this, but it goes against the industry standard that I have seen everywhere else. So, I am only giving this campground 2 stars because of that. If it weren’t for that, I would give it 4 stars. Take this information and use it how you choose.

We stayed in a 35’ fifth wheel.

Nice, Clean and Close to Town

Stayed early January so place was less than half full. Average space between sites, you’re not packed in with no space for slide outs which is good and each spot has picnic table

Bathrooms are dated but cleaned daily. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Overall the place could use a few upgrades but it’s a quality location and I would stay here again

Right outside town

Not a bad setting. Surrounded by mountains, yet you are really in the city of Taos. Prices are fair, pull through with Electric and Water $43.00. The landscape is really cool, fits the New Mexico motif. A little noisy in the morning with the barking dogs in the surrounding neighborhood. We felt safe with no problems.

This is a great place to stay if you want to explore Taos. Much more vegetation than you would expect from a campground close to town. The staff are friendly. The facilities were clean. The park is older but in an charming New Mexico way. They have funky wooden shade structures at some of the sites.  We felt safe here. We will definitely stay here again.
