It’s a campground , but a nice one. Lots of kids running around but as you will see in the morning it’s quite and beautiful.
I would have given this place a 5 if it wasn’t for the lack of views. The people that run the park are salt of the earth. I ran out of ice and they started their machine for a single bag and then I ask what I owed them and they said “don’t worry about it, it’s ice” they certainly have some of the best BBQ around.
The hike over the divide takes time and patience when starting out at the Fourth of July trail. Once you concur the hike you will be amazed at the views, the wildlife and the serenity of some of Gods untouched land. If your in shape I would highly recommend the hike and experience.
This is a cute place with a small river running through it along with a trout pond. Full hooks ups, bathrooms were a little smelly. The owners were really cool and found a place for us in a pinch. I will warn you that it's really noisy , so if your looking for peace and quit look elsewhere. The town of Red River is very cool.
Awesome campground located inside the gates of Bandelier. $12.00 for a paved back in or pull trough site. So much to do in the area. Hiking, biking, camping, it’s all there. My wife said the bathrooms were clean, fire pits at each site along with Bear boxes. If it would’ve had water I would’ve given it a 5.
Not a bad setting. Surrounded by mountains, yet you are really in the city of Taos. Prices are fair, pull through with Electric and Water $43.00. The landscape is really cool, fits the New Mexico motif. A little noisy in the morning with the barking dogs in the surrounding neighborhood. We felt safe with no problems.
Nice campground bathrooms were very clean, not a lot of hiking or things to do. Prices fairly steep for no hookups ($23.00) per night. Good places for younger kids, nice little playground.
The campground itself is nice, plenty to do around the campground if you like to climb short trails. If you drive for a couple of miles you can enjoy the town of Golden. Rates are a little steep at $45.00 a night for full hook ups. No water or river to fish in, however Clear Creek Campground in Golden does have that and the setting is nicer. They were closed due to the Covid-19 virus. This place will charge you plenty for an hour late check out $25.00 and they won’t budge.
