It was just ok..

First time there and we reserved a spot, site 21 and the door of our camper wasn’t facing our camp. I noticed a few sites like that. It’s pretty tight spaces and not a lot of privacy. We ended up moving to site 4, had more room and our door was facing our camp :)

Beautiful Location Close To Lake Tahoe

My daughter and I are camping in an Aliner travel trailer and are on a 3 week trip from NV to OR. This was one of our primary stops along the way.

The campground is in a beautiful setting, easy to get to, and right off the Highway. The other reviews that say it is noisy are correct, but we…

Cute place to camp with family

I was here on Memorial Day weekend and it was a fun trip! The sites were well shaded and I felt there was a good amount of distance between the spots. Each campsite allows for one car and you can pay $5 a night for one more car. The camp host was nice too!

I will say there were a lot of families…

A beautiful getaway

We had such a great time at Cold Springs Campground! The drive to get there is a little intense (24 miles of steep windy roads that is mostly only one lane so you have to beware of oncoming traffic), but so worth it. You’re surrounded by forest, have a beautiful river running through the area and…

Liked it better than we thought we would

No cell service and you’ll definitely have road noise during the day. However, it quieted substantially for nighttime sleeping hours so we slept fine. There are nice campsites located beside the Little Truckee River if you’re luck enough to get one. Easy hiking trail along the river takes you down…

Convenient location with great amenities

Great location if you want to be near Costco and the capital city.  Great views of the Sierras and the Carson valley.  Sites are narrow, about twice the width of your RV, and separated by chain link fencing.  But all sites are perfectly flat, paved pull-throughs; easy in, easy out parking.  Also…

Looked it over and canceled

Stayed at Prosser Campground for 4 nights and couldn’t get 4 more reserved. Granite Flats had availability so we reserved our site online. Drove over to check it out and canceled. No way our 30’ travel trailer would fit in the site and super close to another site. Charged $18 cancellation fee for a…

Small Wooded Gem

What a gem! Beautiful tall pine trees and spacious sites. Most are back in style with picnic table and fire ring. Super nice camp hosts (shout out to Bill and Sharon). Very quiet, we slept well and would return if traveling this way again. A few sites have distant view of the lake. Most sites are…

Alpine Meadow or Martis Creek??

The name is tricky, but it seems to be officially Alpine Meadow... but also Martis Creek. Either way, it's slightly off the beaten path, in a good way. No highway noise, and a quick trek on foot or by car will take you to Martis Creek Lake right behind the campgrounds.

The sites themselves…

Nice Campground

We were able to grab a first come/first serve site on a Thursday afternoon. Ample shade and no leveling needed at site #17. Fire pit and picnic table are below the paved parking pad so if you’re staying a while, you’ll get a bit of a workout going back and forth. Joanne, the camp host, is such an…

Nice but crowded

The area is nice, it is not near the lake but the lake is only a small drive away. The place is crowded and they pack you in here, but our site (113) was a nice place in the corner. There are much better sites with more room near the dog park if you are looking for more space.

Beautiful location

You could ask for a better place to camp with having to backpack in. Site are separated with scrubs to provide a secluded feeling.

Small store to prevent a long drive if you forget something.

Beautiful location

The site is gorgeous and so close to the Lake. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is the fact that it gets very busy, even with limited access during COVID, try to go during the week.
