It was very hot and no breeze. Not even close to the river at all. Camping sites were not well marked & yet the ranger stated we were 1 foot on the grass.. ( WHAT GRASS?) and made us move 1 foot. The picnic table was so old and worn out, it was bowed & not usable at all. I would only…
$5 a night. Quiet. Lots of birds, rabbits and a cow moose and calf.
OK this place is awesome. Great hotsprings. Greatly needed after hiking in the area. Clean rv and tent camping. Supurb staff. Lots of things to do for the kids. Free breakfast. Lots and lots to do in the town.
Super friendly campground host. Very helpful. The campground was clean even the restrooms. Easy access to big sky Montana and a hour ish drive to west Yellowstone. Sites are easy to access with smaller rv. But have bigger sites for larger rigs. No t mobile or att service.
Definitely make a reservation in peak months. But only if you're going to use it. This was a nice, well maintained campground. Easily accessible to West Yellowstone. Not the closest, but it's tucked away and really pretty.
Tent sites quiet, large, grassy, good views
I used the online registration late in the day, so we were happy to get the last spot. Very easy to find in the dark at 10:30 pm because driveway is well lit with little lights, however the driveway is gravel hill going down and very bumpy. Spots for the RV are full hook up & very close but…
We chose Swan Creek from the few USFS campgrounds between Big Sky and Bozeman based on how far it was off of Rt. 191. The others are located right along the road, yet next to the Gallatin River. We heard no road noise and had the soothing sound of Swan Creek in the evenings. But, don’t expect any…
Caves were wonderful! Campground is near the Jefferson River but it is across the highway and has private property on the other side. There were fishing access about a mile down the road. It would be a nice stop for a day/night stay but not any more. Showers were nice and clean.
This campsite is located in a beautiful remote area of Montana, only a short hike away from the beginning of the Missouri River. Large site. The only problem was there were many mosquitoes.
Stop looking for a spot, this is where you want to be. Beautiful spots. Some have 3 bars of 4G Verizon, others none. Peaceful spot.
Site sizes are varied. Friendly staff. Quiet.
Stay here! I arrived (very) late, around 10:30pm or so after a long day in Tetons/Yellowstone. I drove down and most spots were taken. I stayed in a little pull out on the side of a cliff. I could hear water running, but it was dark so I couldn't see. I woke up to the most beautiful view ever. It…
