Five established sites spread across this dispersed camping area off Forest Service Road 100, with three sites positioned in open terrain and two tucked among large fir trees along the Ruby River. The treed riverside sites provide natural shelter and include rock fire rings, with one featuring a metal fire barrel. Located at 6,567 feet elevation within the Beaverhead National Forest, this free camping area operates under standard Forest Service dispersed camping regulations with a 16-day stay limit.
Campers must come prepared for primitive conditions as no facilities exist on-site. The area restricts dispersed camping to designated locations only along this section of FS Route 100. For those wanting developed amenities, Cottonwood sits 3.3 miles north with standard campground facilities.
