Bozeman Hot Springs Campground & RV Park provides full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections with big-rig friendly sites. Yellowstone Edge RV Park in Livingston operates from May through October with electric, water, and sewer hookups for motorhomes. Ennis RV Village, open April to November, features level sites with 50-amp electric service and accommodates larger RVs. Rock Canyon RV Park in Livingston has a shorter May-October season with water and electric connections on gravel sites. "Sites are a little tight but perfect for a couple night stay. Our site only had electric/water but there are some with full hookups," noted one camper.
Advance reservations are strongly recommended during summer months when parks fill quickly. Most RV parks near Belgrade offer sanitary dump stations, though Missouri Headwaters State Park has none despite allowing RV camping. Cell service varies significantly throughout the region, with stronger signals at privately operated parks closer to towns. The area experiences significant seasonal closures, with many facilities shutting down between October and April due to harsh winter conditions. Pet policies generally allow dogs with standard restrictions, though some parks have designated pet areas. Proximity to Highway 191 creates convenient access for larger rigs but contributes to road noise at locations like Bozeman Hot Springs, where one visitor mentioned hearing highway traffic throughout their stay.
"Sites were readily available the night we stayed, about 12 in the main campground and several more sites with fire rings outside by the trail entrance."
"Fairy Lake Campground is hands down my favorite campground I’ve ever visited."

"Right on the edge of the Yellowstone River, about 90 minutes north of Yellowstone NP. This is an RV Park, so no tents are allowed. The view of the river and the mountains is fantastic."
"We were heading to Yellowstone from Glacier and had been driving for hours. We called and the park and they gave us the last site open for that day and what a site/view!"
"This is an independent campground about an hour from the north entrance of Yellowstone. The spots are reasonably level and about half and half pull-through vs back in."

In late out early short stay, train noise with long whistles several times during the night. Road noise too. Site was level easy to back into. No utilities late in the season
Large open area. Each site has a picnic table, bear storage, and fire pit. No privacy from camp site to campsite. Each area is pretty flat and level though! pit toilet was pretty gross (not the worst) but there was pee, and poop on the seat.
We camped one night in a tent in site #12. Luckily it was a cool evening because the scent of the vault toilet wafted over our site off and on. Can't imagine being here on a hot humid day in the summer. I'm sure this campground is fine for overnight if you are self contained in an RV. Good if you don't want to be too far off the Interstate but also don't want the traffic noise.
You are surrounded by very pretty mountains at this camp. Had some snow, but its starting to melt. No issues with bugs.
Had a hard time getting my van flat. Had a few other people at the camp while we were there.
It had a few bear bins sprinkled throughout along with some pit toilets.
Had great sky clearing for the starlink.
We are here in October and we are getting snow I love it. Only 3 other campers here. .the dogs just run. Getting about 6 inches of snow. Going to hike some trails tomorrow. We have AT&T and there is cell service but we also have Starlink. No water this time of year and there is only 1 pit toilet...across the campground. It would not be a place I would stay in summer....no trees I'm not a fan of seeing all the campers. Looks like pretty decent gravel sites. We do have electric. The rangers are very nice.
We got here after dark and were very confused by the no trespassing signs and small pull offs. We didn’t go very high up on the road but camped right where the pin was set up. Gorgeous in the morning and very quiet peaceful place to stay for the night. Not necessarily “camping” with room to move around or set up but easy for one night.
I live in Bozeman and this is the first time staying at Taylor Fork. Incredible. I settled at spot 11 and the peace is tremendous. Of course I won’t give it 5 stars if there’s not a picnic table or bathrooms or other amenities but that’s fine, this is a definite treasure trove. Today we drove a couple miles up the road and got on a trailhead to a basin that might’ve been the best hike of my life. Beautiful. Solo. Perfect amount of difficulty. Views. This will certainly be one of my top 3 go-to spots for the future since I live in Bozeman and it’s so easy to get away.
The views are truly unbeatable! 6 miles of washboard gravel road leading to the lake made the journey difficult, but still worth it. Also, the winds were incredibly strong, making it impossible to cook outside or have a fire. But the views ...
The Campground is close to Big Sky and there is no other option to go dispersed in this area. Bearlocker, Outhouses, Firering, Tent place, sometimes grill, Water and Dumpstation. Hyw is close and very busy.
Dispersed camping opportunities near Belgrade, Montana include options in the Gallatin National Forest, primarily from May through September when forest roads become accessible. The region sits at approximately 4,500 feet elevation and experiences cold winter conditions that limit off-season camping. Most RV camping outside established campgrounds requires self-contained units with reliable traction for unpaved mountain roads.
Swimming at natural lakes: Fairy Lake Campground provides swimming access in crystal-clear mountain water about 30 miles from Belgrade. "The lake itself is stunning, with crystal clear water that looks almost unreal. It's the perfect place to relax, hike, fish, or just sit back and take in the beauty of Montana," notes one visitor at Fairy Lake Campground.
Hot springs soaking: Multiple hot springs pools with varying temperatures are available year-round at Bozeman Hot Springs, where campers receive access with their stay. "The hot springs access is what makes it worth the price. I soaked in the evening and early the next morning and both were relaxing. Live music was awesome for ambiance too," according to a Bozeman Hot Springs Campground & RV visitor.
Hiking nearby mountains: Access to Sacajawea Peak trail from camping areas provides challenging day hikes with mountain views. "Great access to sacagewea peak hike and cold water," reports one camper about the trails accessible from nearby camping areas.
Mountain views: Campsites with direct views of surrounding mountains are particularly valued by visitors. "The view is the best one I have ever had. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Perfect location to explore Yosemite," shares a visitor to Yellowstone Edge RV Park.
Riverside locations: RV sites near Belgrade offering waterfront access to the Yellowstone River provide popular fishing and relaxation spots. "We parked on one of the river sites, and the river was about 15 feet from our back door, absolutely beautiful!" notes one camper.
Clean facilities: Despite varying amenity levels, many campers appreciate well-maintained bathrooms and showers. "The bathhouse is very nice!" reports one visitor, while another notes, "Bathrooms and showers are centrally located, warm, secure and clean."
Mountain road conditions: Access to some campgrounds requires navigating difficult unpaved roads. "The 6-mile unmaintained road to get to the campground is definitely rough. The warnings are justified—it's bumpy, rocky, and slow going," warns a Fairy Lake visitor.
Seasonal closures: Many camping facilities outside established RV parks close between September and June. "The campground was closed, so we camped right outside. There was a perfect little creek that my 5yo fully enjoyed for a few days," shares one camper.
Wildlife encounters: Bears and mountain goats frequently visit campsites, requiring proper food storage. "For sure there is 1 grizzly that's pretty big. He checked out our truck tent. Mountain Goats will come in your camp and they will do what goats do and want to check you out. They are not scared," cautions a visitor at Cardwell General Store and Campground.
Check playground amenities: Some RV campgrounds offer dedicated children's play areas. "The kids loved the playground and tons of open grass space and swings throughout, and they also have a pond that you can even fish in on site at the back of the property," notes one family that stayed at Cardwell.
Confirm shower facilities: Family-friendly campgrounds typically offer private shower stalls rather than communal facilities. "Nice clean and private coed individual bathrooms with showers," reports a visitor to Osen's RV Park by Starry Night Lodging.
Grassy sites for play: Camping areas with maintained grass provide better play spaces than gravel-only sites. "The lawn behind the sites in C Row were immaculate with green grass, nice stone-lined fire pits and large decorative rocks," mentions a Bozeman Hot Springs camper.
Site spacing considerations: RV sites near Belgrade, Montana vary significantly in spacing between units. "Sites are reasonably level and about half and half pull-through vs back in. They use a larger size gravel on the roads so there is very little dust," notes a visitor to Ennis RV Village.
Elevation impacts: Higher elevation campgrounds require better traction vehicles for access. "I would highly not recommend unless you have 4 wheel drive and even then we saw a jeep wrangler sliding everywhere," warns one camper about accessing mountain camping areas.
Campground amenities: Laundry facilities vary significantly between locations. "We were in a back in site that had a huge yard area and super convenient walking path to the hot springs just feet away," shares one RVer, while another notes, "The grounds are very well maintained and the fire rings are pretty great!"
