Eh, it's an ok spot, if in a pinch.

It's an ok spot if you need a fairly cheap place to stay but don't expect much.

The sites are close and if you're in a "B" spot be prepared to need a longer electrical cord as you share a post with the other spot.

Sites are mostly asphalt but some are on gravel. It is noisy with trains going by "all" nite long.

We did stop by the Gibson Guitar Co but it was a Sunday and they were closed.

Would I stay here again, probably not.

No contact necessary, clean & quiet

We needed a place to Stay in a pinch on way to WA and they were cheap, contactless (phone reservation & payment) easy to pull in & out of. Train runs nearby, so not recommended if you’re a light sleeper!

Pleasant Site in Bozeman

This site is in the fairgrounds in Bozeman. You can stay a max of ten days out of 30, and they have power but no water or sewage hookups. They do have a water fill station for a fee. Some sites are gravel, some asphalt, all very level. You get the equivalent of two parking spaces.

It’s a quiet location away from major roads. Even in summer the weather is mild so we opted for the cheaper option without electrical hookups. We then had two days I. The 90s, but the rest of our stay will be in the 80s and in the 40s at night.

Maybe better than just sleeping in your vehicle

The good:

People on the phone making reservations were nice and helpful.

The sites are flat.

Access to supplies and stores.

Good phone signal.

The bad:

Surrounded by town and town sounds.

You are “camping” on a parking lot.

No bathrooms.

Close to trains and train horns all night. Repeatedly. Like the engineer was pissed off repeatedly.

Street traffic noise late. Street traffic noise early. Interstate traffic noise always.

Electric plug is only 220. No 110 outlet.

Shouldn’t be your first choice, but suitable as a last choice.

It's a Fairgrounds ... in Bozeman

Not much pizzazz with this campground. It's a gravel parking lot next to grandstands and an ice rink. All the sites back up to the southern fence. Spaces are a little tight but not too bad... it's not like you are going to sit outside in a lounge chair in this place. And while I am on the down side, there were a few occasions at night where cars would drive through the parking lot and hang out. Not doing donuts or anything, but it was a little creepy. We stayed here because all other campgrounds in the area were full. But on a good note, it was nicely located, very central to town. The traffic was not too loud and despite it being a non-paved lot, it wasn't too dusty. It was ok. Sorry, no pictures to add.
