    Family fun

Lost valley happens to be one of our favorite camp grounds. They are extremely family friendly, they have an indoor pool, hot tubs, and sona, an outdoor pool and hot tubs, inflatable jump pillows, concerts almost every weekend, full hookups, plenty of tent camping sites as well, two swim beaches and several lakes on the property. If that's not enough try the horse back riding, or indoor mini golf, or grab a meal or a drink at the on site restaurant and bar.

    Lots of Family Fun

We love to camp here, we have lots of friends here, old and new. There is swimming year round with 2 indoor pools, hot tubs and sauna. Summer time swimming at 1 outdoor pool and 2 swimming beaches at the lake. You can rent paddle boats, canoes, kayaks and fishing boats. Plenty to do all year round like, play indoor mini golf, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, pool, ping pong, shuffleboard, arcade games and watch a movie. There is horseback riding, pony rides and the jump pillow are big favorites. Sit around the fire, go to the Tiki Hut for a drink, order a pizza or something to eat at the restaurant. Sometimes there is live music on the weekend.'

    Mera-culously huge

Huge park with tons of amenities and options. Although there is year round Camping, the host on site advised water to each individual site will be turned off end of October for winter. Potable water is available near dump stations (hmmm....). Very well kept, and vacant this time of year, affords the opportunity for a more private camping and river experience. Clean well kept shower houses. Lodge & cabin rentals also available. Boat ramp in back of campground. Campsites with blue bands and parking stops are ADA compliant with concrete pads, elevated grills plus fire ring and picnic table.

Great Restaurant Onsite; Friendly Customer Service; Tight Lots

My family and I are new to the RV World. We are currently renting a Class A Motorhome(33ft; double slide) and traveling to the 48 contiguous states. Our trip originated in Columbus, OH(our home), and we made our way to St. Louis for our second-night stay.

When we arrived, we checked-in at the office, and the customer service was amiable and accommodating. Our site was across from campground cabins where the occupants of the cabin street-parked their trucks. The campsites are so tight; we couldn't back-in and park. Fortunately, management was responsive to our needs and asked the cabin occupants to move. Sadly, our location was next door to smokers, which necessitated we keep our windows shut during our stay.

Full hook-up was relatively clean and easy to use. The campsite is off a hectic road, but we didn't mind as we only stayed one night(if you are looking to sleep under the stars surrounded by trees and squirrels, this place is not for you). The proximity to the Gateway Arch was terrific. We parked our RV, summoned an Uber, and were at the top of the arch in an hour!

Our favorite part of this park is the onsite Sawmill BBQ restaurant. While we prepare most of our meals, we were so tired; we decided to give the joint a try and, wow, are we glad we did! Delicious food for a reasonable price!

    Great floating camp ground!

My husband and I went here for one of our first camping trips in our travel trailer. We really enjoyed our time here! They have a few different clusters of camp sites and cabins as well. We did a 5 mile float which was amazing! They bus you up river and then you end up back at the campground. We stayed in the campground closer to the river. There are quite a few tent spots as well, so we felt a little crowded just based off where our site was. Would definitely recommend sites 106-108. Some friends of ours stayed there and had tons of space!

Highly recommend going to the "Upper Beach"! It's up by the cabins/cottages and you definitely need to drive there. Get there early in the morning to set up your chairs in the river to get a good spot. They also have trail riding and a zip line, but trail riding was all booked when we called to reserve.

    Beautiful relaxing getaway

my family and I visited just 2 months after it opened. There is still s lot of work going on, a bigger store, pool, more cabins, more rv sites, more meeting places. Despite it being new it was wonderful. So peaceful and relaxing. Not to mention beautiful. Will absolutely be back alone and with our large camping group.

    Fun for the whole family!

Our whole (cousins and everyone) met her for a week long vacation and we had a blast. The cabins were clean and the Murphy beds allowed for so much space when we weren't sleeping. We went rafting down the river and the kids had so much fun playing in the woods and swimming. It was a great trip. We are already talking about planning another one.

Its ok, Little close to the city for me.

Its a little to commercialized for my liking. I stayed in a wilderness site it was $25.oo bucks. Here you can rent sites, cabins & golf carts. Its is super close to Six Flags and right off HWY 44 Close are most fast food or grocery places. You can get a band allowing your kids to do games of mini-golf, free train rides on the Yogi Bear Express Train, two arcade tokens, and a discount on Pizza at the Snack Shack.

    Clean campground - Tight sites

We stopped her for a few nights to check out St. Louis. It’s about a 30-40 min drive to the arch from campground

Sites were all gravel, fire pits were poorly placed and frequently it fell under someone else’s slide or trailer. We always bring our solo stove so we could have a fire in a better spot on our lot

Pool and bathrooms were clean, staff were very friendly

This campground has a ton of “cabins”

There is a very large hill to get in and some sites are VERY tight - we thankfully had a decent size site comparatively

    The perfect park

We absolutely love this park. It’s just under an hour from St. Louis, with river access, amazing hiking trails & great views. Very clean campsites with lots of shade for tent campers & nice level lots. There is even a swimming pool if the river isn’t your thing & a couple playgrounds too. There is a dollar general right outside the park entrance which is super convenient if you forget something or your lighter runs out of fluid like us lol. They have cabins to rents as well as Camper spots and basic lots. Pet friendly! Highly recommend this park. The whole family enjoyed staying here.

    Klondike Park

    Fun family campground

I camped as part of the Big MO Ride and Row event. It was my first visit to the park. Campsites are walk in, but a short walk. Some are more private and shaded than others. Our site, 35, like its neighbor sites was small and pretty close to others. Other sites like #19 and 20 were more secluded, offered more trees and privacy. There is a seasonal bathhouse, which is clean and well kept, but serves all 43 campsites with its 3 stalls and 2 showers per gender. The cabins look great from the outside and sit back in the woods. The park is beautifil and a great place for a quick escape ftom St. Louis.

    Incredible caves outside St. Louis.

While this is a perfect stop on a cross country road trip (very close to rt 44), it’s quite worthy of an extended visit. The campground is right on the edge of the river and you can get to the trails from your campsite.

Yay: Stay in cabins or the campground. Small camp store. Nice hiking trails, all easy/moderate. Rent canoes (not sure about kayaks) on site.

Nay: Our site was on a slope, some are close to a road, choose carefully. There’s a conference center so if there’s an event everything will be packed.

Surprise: Pay the extra for the caves tour! Down the road there’s an old iron foundry and a historic cemetery to explore.

    Ozark Outdoors-Riverfront Resort

    More resort than campground

This place has about anything you would want with the possible exception of peace and quiet. Store, pool, ropes course, playground, and several options for floating, including a 1 1/2 mile tube loop you can do over and over all day. The place is huge, with tent and RV areas, cabins, and the shower houses even have rooms above them. The sites we stayed at were fairly small and in the sun, but there were plenty of larger sites and many are shaded. They also have buddy sites configured for camping with friends and awnings facing each other.

They put on a large fireworks show on Independence Day right on the gravel bar. There is a family side and a party side that are well separated.

Jelleystone Campground near Six Flags Saint Louis

We stayed here with a new camper, to be near our RV dealer and hardware stores. The site was ok, tricky to level. There was a steep drop just past our steps, and not a lot of room to set up chairs, etc. Honestly, the site we were in felt like an afterthought, as we were just pulled off the lower loop road. But we were there primarily to op check the camper features, and this campground allowed us to do so.

If you're visiting Six Flags this is an ideal location, with a great camp store and restaurant, and lots of things for kids to do. I found good hiking trails nearby at Rockwoods Range. There are a lot of cabins and tent sites here as well.  The camp staff were friendly and helpful. And the sunrise from our site was beautiful!

We utilized the special use area of the campground for our Cub Scout family camp, but visited the main loop during our trip.

Best campground hosts we ever encountered! Knowledgeable and friendly. The park has a pool, river access, canoe & kayak rentals and miles of great trails. Great program for kids on staying out of they get lost presented by hosts. This is a great park for organized groups, with lots to do!

Shower house was clean and convenient. Hands down one of Missouri’s best!

Tip- check out the petroglyph site.

    Pin Oak RV Park

    Old and shows wear

This is an older RV park and campground, and the age shows. We spent several nights here due to engine problems with our tow vehicle. The sites are level, and there is plenty of shade. (One advantage of being an older park.) But everything is just a little run down. The sites are gravel and close together do not much privacy. They come with water, sewer & electric. There is a pool (closed when we were there), playground, mini golf, a lake, game room, laundry and a small store with basics. The bathroom and showers were clean, but dated. Not all facilities were in working order. Two of 6 washers were out of service, one bathroom stall was out of order, pot holes in the road. There are also cabins, and RVs available to rent. There is quite a bit of traffic noise from I-44 and there are a lot of excess lights kept on all night long. The staff was friendly and check in was easy. Many of the sites are occupied be semi-permanent residents. They have internet, but it is weak and spotty. Saturday night they had a band making noise for 3 hours!

    Klondike Park

    Beautiful views for Missouri

We stayed in Klondike Park Campground in May. The views are spectacular with some sandy shores of a small pond in the middle of the campground and some great trails. Augusta is a nice place away from St. Louis and a short drive down 94. One caution... there were tons of ticks... i mean like we found 6 when we got home.

The park has a few different areas for camping. We stayed at campsite 25 which is a really big campsite surrounded by trees. Some of the other campsites are pretty packed together. There was a bathhouse, but it wasn’t really close to our campsite. Still dont think there was water available. As far as amenities, the bathroom was clean, but there’s basically no water so you’ll need to bring your own. Same with campfire wood. We had cell phone service at our campsite so if you’re curious about that, now you know.

There’s also 6 cabins you can rent, but they fill up pretty fast so if you’re going to do that, you need to plan ahead. Plenty of well groomed trails and bike paths, it’s well worth the trip.
