Blue Spring Ranch

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

River enthusiasts can float the Meramec River directly from Blue Spring Ranch, which operates both camping facilities and canoe outfitting services in Bourbon, Missouri. The campground provides full hookups for RVs up to 50 feet, with electric, water, and sewer connections available alongside basic amenities like showers and restrooms.

Multiple camping clusters spread across the property offer different experiences, from riverside sites close to the creek to more secluded spots farther inland. Leslie G. notes the facility has "clean shower houses and a pool" to complement the camping experience. The five-mile float trip returns campers to the property via shuttle service, eliminating the need for separate transportation arrangements.

Cell service proves limited throughout the property, though basic WiFi operates on an hourly basis from the main office area. The campground's general store stocks essential supplies, while additional activities include horseback riding and zip-lining when operational. Sites 106-108 receive particular mention from visitors for their spacious layout and positioning.

Beyond the immediate property, campers can explore Onondoga Cave State Park or access additional places to camp near Bourbon for extended stays in the region. The facility welcomes pets and accepts reservations for both RV sites and tent camping areas.

Annual Retreat for the Family

We have stayed at Blue Springs for three consecutive years in a row. We have children in tow, and love all of the amenities. We park close to the creek, we drive to the Meramec River and sometimes enjoy petting a horse or goat. Last year we zip lined. It’s close to the caverns and other awesome sites. Clean shower houses and a pool cap off the nice experience

Fun, clean and family friendly

We booked a RV trip here with another family. We were able to reserve side by side and had a great time. We even scheduled a float trip. The general store has most everything you need, its quiet, family friendly and well maintained. There were many activities to choose from. We are excited to go back!

Great floating camp ground!

My husband and I went here for one of our first camping trips in our travel trailer. We really enjoyed our time here! They have a few different clusters of camp sites and cabins as well. We did a 5 mile float which was amazing! They bus you up river and then you end up back at the campground. We stayed in the campground closer to the river. There are quite a few tent spots as well, so we felt a little crowded just based off where our site was. Would definitely recommend sites 106-108. Some friends of ours stayed there and had tons of space!

Highly recommend going to the "Upper Beach"! It's up by the cabins/cottages and you definitely need to drive there. Get there early in the morning to set up your chairs in the river to get a good spot. They also have trail riding and a zip line, but trail riding was all booked when we called to reserve.

Our Favorite Float Trip Camping

We average 3-4 trips a year here! We love it and the 5 mile float is the perfect amount of time on the river! They have fun themed weekends! 4th of July and Halloween are our favorites. There is no cell service but basic WiFi is free 1 hour at a time and this year we have noticed a major upgrade to their system!

Very surprised on value vs what you get

About everything is extra cost fro wifi, showers, No tv reception, long walk uphill to showers and bathrooms, zip li e looked cool but wasn't working while we were registered, No close dumpster where ever it is you'll carry it or drive to it. Pool is small, the river is to far to walk to 2 to 3 miles one way and not maintained really for swimming or river rock and vehicles stuck in the pushed back river rock and sand. The camp grounds looked fairly clean only contact with employees was at the office/ store was nice. That's where you can pay to use the wifi system in the sites next to no use.
