Pin Oak RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available year-round at Pin Oak RV Park, an established campground in Villa Ridge, Missouri that accommodates RVs up to 95 feet with full hookups including water, sewer, and electric. Sites are gravel and level, with mature trees providing solid shade coverage, a direct result of the park's age. Firewood runs $6 per bundle at the on-site store, and the office closes at 8pm, so plan arrivals accordingly. The park sits close enough to campsites near Union to make restocking straightforward.

Spacing is tight throughout much of the property. Multiple reviewers flag the close-together sites as a consistent drawback, with limited privacy between rigs. Sites at the back of the property tend to run larger than those in the middle section, so requesting a back site when reserving is worth the effort. Light pollution is also notable: playground lighting stays on through the night, and the park keeps exterior lights running. Campers sensitive to noise should know that I-44 traffic carries into the campground, and weekend evenings sometimes feature live music at the pavilion.

The on-site pond is a genuine draw for families. Chad H. called it "a blast for the kids," and several reviewers mention decent-sized fish in the catch-and-release water. Beyond fishing, the park includes a pool, mini golf, a game room with a pinball machine and pool table, a playground, and laundry facilities. Not all amenities are always operational; past guests have noted washers out of service and bathroom stalls offline, so the older infrastructure comes with some variability. WiFi is available but described as weak and inconsistent.

Shelly D. notes that "sites were a little cramped, but we had a nice view of the pond," which captures the trade-off here fairly well. The town of Washington, roughly 15 minutes away, offers restaurants and additional supplies. Nearby alternatives include Birch Creek RV Park to the southwest for campers wanting to compare options in the area. Pin Oak works best for families with kids who will use the on-site activities, and for RV travelers needing reliable full hookups with a straightforward check-in process.

Old and shows wear

This is an older RV park and campground, and the age shows. We spent several nights here due to engine problems with our tow vehicle. The sites are level, and there is plenty of shade. (One advantage of being an older park.) But everything is just a little run down. The sites are gravel and close together do not much privacy. They come with water, sewer & electric. There is a pool (closed when we were there), playground, mini golf, a lake, game room, laundry and a small store with basics. The bathroom and showers were clean, but dated. Not all facilities were in working order. Two of 6 washers were out of service, one bathroom stall was out of order, pot holes in the road. There are also cabins, and RVs available to rent. There is quite a bit of traffic noise from I-44 and there are a lot of excess lights kept on all night long. The staff was friendly and check in was easy. Many of the sites are occupied be semi-permanent residents. They have internet, but it is weak and spotty. Saturday night they had a band making noise for 3 hours!

Nice Stop

Stayed here for a quick weekend away. Facilities were nice and clean, and staff was very friendly. Mini golf, activity room with a pinball machine and pool table. A band played on Saturday night at the pavillion but unfortunately it was very cold and we didn't stay long. Sites were a little cramped, but we had a nice view of the pond. We were close to the playground though, which had bright lights at night and loud kids - I would avoid that area next time.

Campground is ok, reservation policy really stinks.

BEWARE !!!!  If you have a reservation here and have an emergency in route, they require  FIVE (5) DAY NOTICE, to cancel.  They will not refund your site fee, $63.36 per night!

Now, EVERYONE, plans an Emergency FIVE DAYS ahead!!😤

Halloween Bash is big here!

Stayed over the weekend for our final trip of the season, great staff and facilities here. They really do pack in the campers though, extremely crowded and tight. The family atmosphere was incredible here, lots for the kiddos to do in this park. A little too crowded for us empty nesters.

I can not say enough good about this campground. Our 6 month stay was absolutely wonderful we had no issues whatsoever. The staff is great and the amenities were top notch. We travel the country and this is on of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. Thank you pinoak creek. We will be back to stay again. If your in the area I recommend them highly

Nice quite campground

We stayed here for a weeksatellite at the end of June. Spaces are tight but the overall camp ground is decent. Nice pool and an arcade area with plenty of room to hangout inside. There is a pond with some decent sized fish in it. A lot of the campground has good tree coverage but if in the right spot you would still be able to use tv.

A little bit tight and dusty, but has everything you want in a campground.

A nice private catch and release pond, an old little mini golf setup, a small (but adequate) swimming pool kept the kids busy. About 45-50 minutes West of downtown STL, it was close enough to do “city things,” but far enough out that it felt like camping. The real gem is the little town of Washington about 15 mins away which has great restaurants and an awesome ice cream place. We also found a place nearby that rented tubes and kayaks for floating down the Meremec River. The spots are I think a little close together, but, while the facilities are older, they are pretty well-kept.

Stayed there for a week last summer. Sites at the back of the property are large. Sites in the middle seemed more crowded. Facility was clean, owners and staff were friendly. Fishing pond was a blast for the kids!
